Why showing up consistently matters more than showing up perfectly ? A few months ago, I was consistently active on LinkedIn, posting, engaging, and building connections. Then life happened, and I had to step back. Coming back now, I realize something powerful: It’s not the perfect posts or viral moments that build your personal brand, it’s the consistency to keep showing up, even when the results aren’t immediate. The truth is : ? You won’t always feel motivated. ? Not every post will get hundreds of likes. ? Sometimes, the results will be slow. But every time you show up, you’re building: ? Trust with your audience. ? Skills to become a better communicator. ? Opportunities that come from being visible. Consistency isn’t about being perfect; it’s about being present. So here’s me showing up again, ready to share, learn, and connect. ?P.S. What’s one thing that helps you stay consistent, even when it’s tough?

Hello, LinkedIn family! It’s been a while since I posted here. I'll be the first to admit that I haven't been consistent—despite knowing well that showing up regularly is a powerful way to build connections, share insights, and open doors. Recently, I had two conversations with two amazing people who reminded me why it’s so important to get back to sharing my journey. A big thank you to Emmanuel Jago and Ope Pelemoh Steve Brobro for your encouragement and for challenging me to start posting again today! As a brand and marketing strategist, it’s second nature to create content that drives engagement and revenue for my clients and their businesses. But when it comes to my personal brand, I often find myself overthinking or putting it off, despite knowing how essential it is to invest in my own presence. This is a reminder to myself—and to anyone reading this—about the importance of stepping out of the shadows and sharing our experiences, insights, and lessons learned. Building a personal brand is just as valuable as the work we do for our clients. After all, people connect with people, and showing up here allows us to connect meaningfully, share knowledge, and even inspire. So here’s to showing up more, sharing the journey, and hopefully inspiring others along the way! Let’s get back to building this amazing community. If you’ve ever struggled with consistency or putting yourself out there, I’d love to hear your thoughts on what helped you stay on track. #BrandBuilding #MarketingStrategy #PersonalBrand #ConsistencyIsKey #ShowUp
Most founders are missing out on this one thing?? Not using high quality videos to connect and convey your message to the right audience. After talking to many founders. This is a reoccurring roadblock. You don't realise, you're missing out on building a loyal customer base by not using high-quality videos. Sounds far fetched? Let me break it down: ↳ Texts narrate a story but lack visual engagement ↳ Photos capture attention visually but provide limited context and connection Videos combine all 3 elements: ✅ Visual engagement ✅ Context ✅ Connection All platforms are moving to prioritise videos. Yes, LinkedIn too. Thing is, you put this pressure on yourself. You listen to that little voice in your head. Eventually you get frustrated and tired. So you procrastinate over: ??getting the right equipment ??needing the skills ??spending HOURS setting up and editing ??obsessing over getting it perfect You end up just posting content to tick it off your “to do” list That’s a sure way to get zero meaningful engagement. Then, you wonder why your message isn’t getting across or finding the right people. People buy from people whom they see, like and trust. No longer just businesses they like the logo of. Think about it. Would you buy from a brand you don’t know or connect with? Probably not. If you truly want to attract the right audience, that will stick with your brand long term. You have to use high quality video, be on there yourself, about what your brand stands for. People connect with people. Once they feel emotionally attached to your “why”. Your audience becomes loyal. ----- Sound like what you’re struggling with DM me: “DREAM” and let’s talk about how I can help you.
A similar case happened to me Thejeshwar AB. I was so stuck in exams, fests, festivals that I couldn't remain consistent here, neither in posting nor in engaging which literally took my impressions from 25k per week to 1700-1800. It was a huge loss, but I'm trying to get things back on track

#2 is probably what contributed most Thejeshwar. Posting and ghosting is far more harmful than not posting consistently. I'm planning to take the weekends off too. Let's see what happens to my impressions ?!

Fair point! Here’s the takeaway: Consistency isn’t just about posting; it’s about showing up for your audience. Engage with comments, build genuine connections in DMs, and treat LinkedIn like the two-way street it is. Your brand grows through the value you give, not just the content you push out.
Well said. Connecting in the dm and posting consistently is needed if you want to see results. You can have a rest day but staying way to long will have an effect on your account. Thejeshwar AB

I have often repeated—- Jo Dikhta Hai, Woh Bikta Hai! Frankly, Good Enough post is Good Enough! A lot of people obsess over that “perfect post” & hence, don’t post consistently on Social Media! Till date, I haven’t seen a perfect post! And, I have never posted a “perfect post” Whether it’s personal branding or building a product, don’t obsess over perfection! Remember, in this cluttered Social Media space, consistency & regularity in posting matters a lot! So go ahead, and show off your personal branding or product
The Hardest Lesson I Learned About Consistency ‼️ When I first started as a social media marketer, I made a huge mistake: I’d post a lot for a week, then stop for two weeks. I thought my amazing posts would carry me, but the truth? Inconsistency kills momentum. Six months later, I finally committed to a posting schedule. No matter how busy I was, I showed up. Slowly, I saw results—more engagement, inquiries, and trust. Now, I tell every brand I work with the same thing: Success isn’t about one viral post; it’s about showing up, day after day. Lesson: Consistency might not be glamorous, but it’s what sets you apart. People trust the brands that keep showing up. Are you posting consistently, or are you still waiting for inspiration to strike?

My impressions went from 10,000 → 1,500 This is a “what not to do” guide.. I was having a busy week last week. Exams, work, events, guests and more. → So much so that I couldn’t focus here. What did it cost me? I lost 80% of my engagement :( I wanted to find out why, so I retrospected it. Here are the mistakes I made.. 1. I skipped posting too often Posting everyday is like going to gym You can skip a day or two, that’s okay But if you skip too much, you fallback 2. I posted and ghosted People engaging in our post are people If they don’t get heard, they don’t engage 3. I stopped connecting in DMs LinkedIn is social media right? We need to be “social” here It’s a two-way road, not one-way Now, if I had to recoil back to 10K impressions.. These are the exact 3 mistakes I’ll stop making. Nothing more, nothing less. End of the day, being consistent builds a brand. And being iterative on it will build it faster. Let’s go!
My LinkedIn impressions plummet from 35,000+ to just 337. Why? Because I was too focused on client work and barely showed up for my own profile. But here’s the lesson: When you stop engaging and posting, the algorithm stops caring. What I learned: ➡️ Mark your presence: Even if you’re busy, make time for your own brand. ➡️ Engagement drives visibility. Not posting = not being seen, simple as that. ➡️ Your profile matters too. We focus so much on clients, but don’t forget to nurture your personal brand. How can I avoid this? -Keep posting, even when life gets hectic. -Engage with others—LinkedIn loves that interaction. -Share what’s happening behind the scenes. People connect with authenticity. Have you ever noticed your engagement dropping due to inactivity? Let’s chat in the comments! P.s- It was looking like it's coming straight from some barbie movie.
Build Your Brand with Engaging Responses Commenting on others' posts is a simple yet powerful way to grow your brand on LinkedIn. Here’s how to make your comments stand out?? ✅Add Value –>Share your own thoughts or experiences on the topic. ✅Be Genuine –>An authentic response always stands out; a simple 'hi' or 'hello' won't make an impact. ✅Ask Questions –> Start conversations by asking questions that spark further discussion. You don’t need to write a whole story or article just interact thoughtfully and keep it real. Authenticity matters, and each meaningful comment helps build your brand. I’ve seen creators focus on commenting alone , and it’s highly effective in boosting their brand’s visibility. Remember, the journey takes time, but patience and consistency make it worthwhile. How do you make your comments impactful on LinkedIn? this flower is for you all who consistently engaged on my daily posts? ( your time and words are appreciated) ? happy Friday ☺️
Consistency is overrated on LinkedIn (Everyone, including myself, talks about its importance.) Honestly, I still struggle with consistency and am figuring it out. So, how have I managed to stay active for the past 2 years? I focus on "showing up," even if I'm not always consistent or sometimes falter. When things get too overwhelming, I may step back for a bit, but I always come back and keep showing up. This approach has paid off. And today: 1) I’ve built an incredible community of over 2,800 followers 2) I have a thriving business that supports me well 3) I’ve built a strong personal brand 4) I am more visible Two year ago, I had none of this. If you're struggling with consistency right now, here's my advice: If you really want it, keep showing up no matter how many times you fail. P.S: Do you struggle with consistency?

True Thejeshwar, in fact since I was a bit under the weather lately I didn't engage alot. And this affected my reach quite a bit.?
