Hey Mark, yeah you can definitely convert the 3,500 lb axles of your 2021 Grand Design Imagine 2500RL to disc using the DeeMax actuator part #DE47SR that you referenced. The correct hub/rotor kit would be the part #DE66YR which you'd need two of,…
Hey Paul, this a great question but the bleeder location on the DeeMax caliper part #DE83YR wouldn't be an issue for use on either side of the trailer. It will still bleed the air out and you wouldn't have to worry about the air not wanting…
It sounds like you are speaking of the wires for the brake magnets. If this is correct, you will need to connect one of the wires to the brake controller output wire on your trailer connector and the other wire will need to be grounded to a clean…

We recently bought a new trailer and I re-greased the bearings with GC-LB grease a few months after purchase. Before I re-greased the bearings, they were stone cold after driving about three miles at speeds no greater than 50 mph. Now that I re-greased them, they are slightly warm after the same trip. Is this normal? Thanks

Hey Eric, the 6-Leaf Double-Eye Spring for 5,300-lb Trailer Axles SP-222275 could work but really to be sure you'd need to measure the length from center of spring eye to center of spring eye (unloaded), measure the leaf thickness, and find out…

Even though I cannot comment specifically on the grease you used because I am not familiar with it, I can tell you the best grease for trailer bearings is a a grease with a rating of GC-LB, which just means it is made to withstand very high temperatures (like what occur on a trailer hub that has massive RPMs when travelling, even at slower speeds) so it will continue to lubricate instead of quickly dissipating like you see with lower rated greases. The best grease for trailer bearings is the LubriMatic LMX Industrial Strength Grease # L11390 and LubriMatic Wheel Bearing Grease # L11465 which have the highest rating of of GC-LB to give your bearings the protection they need. These cartridges will fit Grease Gun # L30200 or # L30480 and I strongly recommend using Bearing Packer # L70025 or # ALL647646 to make the job much easier. You also want to be sure when you do re-grease your bearings to get rid of all of the grease that had been on the bearings because not all types of grease are compatible.I have added links to video reviews for you to check out as well as a link to an FAQ on bearing grease I recommend taking a look at.
The easiest way to determine what spindle your trailer has is to use a dial or digital caliper like the part #PTW80157 to measure it where the bearings and grease seal ride. I attached a picture that shows where these measurements are. If where the…
Hello Darren. Thanks for reaching out, I can definitely help with this. To convert your 2024 Brinkley Z2900 5th wheel over to disc brakes, you will need a disc brake kit, a brake line kit, and electric over hydraulic actuator, and a breakaway kit for…

In order to determine the torque rating for the lug nuts on your trailer you will need to know check out the chart I attached that shows all of the torque specs for all the trailer lugs available based on stud size, wheel material and wheel size.
The torque for the Dexter Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly - 6,000-lb and 7,000-lb Axles - 12" - 5 Spoke Utility #8-174-5UC3 is not specified by the manufacturer. For 9/16 inch studs, the typical lug nut torque will be 120-140 ft lbs based on most…

Hey Jeff, based on your axle info the correct bearing kit would be the part #BK3-310 for a kit that includes both bearings #LM67048 and #25580 as well as a grease seal. This would be all that you'd need as you can reuse the dust cover.
You are going to want either our Bearing Kit #BK2-100 or the Timken Kit #TMK52VR. Both of these kits will give you the inner/outer bearings and races along with a grease seal and cotter pin/D-washer for one hub. You always want to replace the race…
