As a general rule of thumb, brands that mention 'ABEC XYZ' should be avoided. Yes the ABEC system is a real measure of tolerance, but it only applies to industry application and not for skating. If a brand is actively promoting their bearings as ABEC 7 or the like, it's pretty clear to us that they are either purposely deciving customers, or they don't know much about the product they sell. If you start to notice that your skate bearings are making more noise than usual or feel less smooth, that's a sign that they need to be lubricated.
