Wind turbine operation and maintenance is any process designed to maintain wind turbines in an unstable operating condition. The wind turbine parts are expensive, and lubrication is required to achieve the turbine’s maximum efficiency and output. In the past, the plant operators manually performed maintenance and repair of wind turbines. The turbine inspection was carried out by the operator using cranes. The manual system could not detect the component failure at the early stage, which could lead to a complete loss of the turbine. This also increases operation and maintenance costs and leads to lower efficiency of wind turbines.
