Ball or Roller Bearings (Antifriction bearings) are comprehensively inspected for condition of lubricant; dirt, rust, or moisture; fretting corrosion; thermal discoloration; pitting or spalling of balls, rollers, or races; broken or missing retainers. Sleeve Bearings are checked to be uniform in diameter, of proper fit in the housing, smooth internally and suitably grooved for adequate distribution of lubricant. Bearing Housings and Shaft bearing fits are measured and compared to manufacturer’s specifications. Any fits that are not within tolerance arerestored to original factory specification. Seals & Seal clearance are set to original equipment manufacturer’s specifications if available. Oils used will be compatible with the customer’s lubricant Frame and Bearing Housings will be examined for defects; Corrosion; structural weld integrity; blocked drains, breathers, or ventilating air passages; paralleling of feet. During the Third War, the wizards of the Kirin Tor battled against the undead armies of the Scourge. When the wizards of Dalaran died in battle, they would rise soon after - adding their former might to the growing Scourge. Frustrated by their lack of progress (and against the advice of his peers) the Archmage, Arugal elected to summon extra-dimensional entities to bolster Dalaran's diminishing ranks. Arugal's summoning brought the ravenous worgen into the world of Azeroth. The feral wolf-men slaughtered not only the Scourge, but quickly turned on the wizards themselves. The worgen sieged the keep of the noble, Baron Silverlaine. Situated above the tiny hamlet of Pyrewood, the keep quickly fell into shadow and ruin. Driven mad with guilt, Arugal adopted the worgen as his children and retreated to the newly dubbed 'Shadowfang Keep'. It's said he still resides there, protected by his massive pet, Fenrus - and haunted by the vengeful ghost of Baron Silverlaine.[13]

While Shadowfang Keep is never visited during it; the Forsaken heritage armor questline establishes that, somehow, the Scarlet Crusade has taken command of Fenris Keep. By the end of said questline, the keep is taken over by the Forsaken.[12] This leaves Shadowfang as the last known major holding of the Bloodfang pack in Silverpine.

Pumps are Run tested at minimum of 60 minutes duration at the rated voltage and until the temperature of the bearings have stabilized (+/- 1°C over 15 minutes). On antifriction bearings the bearing housing temperature should not exceed 30°F above ambient temperature for oil lubrication, and 50°F above ambient for grease lubrication. On Pumps without external cooling, the bearing housing temperature should not exceed 50°F above ambient. At no time should the temperature exceed the drop test temperature of the lubricant. A non-load test run will be made on all pumps to ensure that all mechanical test results are within factory specification. The quests and storyline for Alliance players and Horde players are different. The quest giver for Alliance players is Ivar Bloodfang, and the Horde quest giver is Deathstalker Commander Belmont. However, the quests for both factions are similar in that both are about the retaking of Shadowfang Keep from Vincent Godfrey. The quests for each faction ( [8-30D] Fury of the Pack and [8-30D] Sweet, Merciless Revenge) end with their respective faction taking Shadowfang Keep.

All mechanical repairs on shafts, bearing journals, end bells, and other equipment are handled in-house by experienced machinists. All Pump assemblies are made in accordance with good machine shop practices. If the shaft requires replacement, a new shaft will be made of A.I.S.I. 4140 Steel HRHT (Hot Rolled Heat Treated). Under special cases, shaft material will be replaced with 316 stainless or User approved material. Pumps will be assembled in a manner that will ensure proper fit and alignment. Ball and Roller Bearings are fitted to shafts by heat-expanding the inner bearing race in accordance with the bearing manufacturer’s recommendations, however, not to exceed 250°F, using an oil-bath heater or an induction heater. Check and record endplay. All bolts, nuts, etc., will be replaced as required with SAE grade 5 or better and torqued to Industry standards. On metric fasteners we will use a grade 8.8 or better. All assembled components will be checked to ensure secure fits. All covers on openings in the frames or housings will be sealed.

After it was discovered that Arugal had transformed him into a worgen, the Forsaken assassinated the council.[8]

When the Scourge washed over Lordaeron, the Gilnean Archmage, Arugal, investigated the research of the mage Ur. With the sorcerer's knowledge, Arugal summoned the worgen with the blessings of Genn Greymane[5] and against the advice of the Kirin Tor.[6] The worgen successfully turned the tide against the Scourge, but became uncontrollable, attacking the Gilnean military. After this, Arugal's worgen ran rampant through Silverpine, eventually overwhelming the keep, killing Baron Silverlaine and his family. Distraught and broken, Arugal accepted the worgen as his children and retreated into the keep and named the place Shadowfang Keep.[1] Communing with Alpha Prime, he became a key servant of the Wolf Cult, converting the humans of Silverpine into worgen, namely the Moonrage and Shadowfang packs. Protected by his worgen minions as well as the ghosts of the fallen Baron and his household, Arugal served his master in converting most of the forest's remaining denizens to the curse, with locations such as Deep Elem Mine falling as well as Pyrewood.[7]

Shadowfang Keep is a haunted keep not far from the borders of Gilneas in southern Silverpine Forest, on a high bluff overlooking Pyrewood Village. It was named for the forces of its former master,[2] the demented Archmage Arugal, who wrested the keep from Baron Silverlaine with his worgen "children" and held it until he was defeated by a group of Horde heroes.[1][3] The keep was then occupied by the Scourge remnants and followers of the renegade Gilnean nobleman Vincent Godfrey, traitor to both his homeland and to the Forsaken who returned him from death.

The Lich King saw it fit to bring Arugal back as one of his puppets,[1] so several San'layn blood princes arrived at Shadowfang Keep and found Arugal's grave, raising the Archmage as a shade to serve the Scourge.[10]

Shaw noted his main contact in the area as Ivar Bloodfang, stating that the packleader was his contact within Shadowfang Keep. The pack has apparently claimed it, alongside Fenris Isle, and has taken most of the artifacts within the Shadowfang to Fenris Keep to be guarded closely.[1]
