I'm trying to get a better idea of who produces the main/rotor gearboxes for the transmissions systems across helicopter OEMS. I know that Triumph Group had done the main transmission for the Bell 429 Helicopter; however, was that an anomaly? Are the transmissions systems usually produced in house by the specific helicopter manufacturer such as Sikorsky, AugustaWestland, Bell, Airbus, etc.? Any help in the right direction would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

(NYSE:TGI) today announced that its gear systems operations, located in Park City, Utah and Macomb, Michigan, have been awarded a multi-year supply agreement by Bell Helicopter to provide the main transmission assembly for the 429 helicopter. The scope of the agreement includes manufacturing, assembly/integration and testing of the transmission, as well as the design and engineering of the test equipment.
