If an acute subdural hematoma is a possibility, you are NOT DONE LOOKING at the scan UNTIL you have turned the brightness and contrast down.

Turning the brightness/contrast down a little reveals the acute subdural hematoma and gives you a better sense of its size. Scroll through the scan and see how the acute subdural is now clearly delineated from the bone.

There was no other kind of intracranial hemorrhage on this scan. This bright spot is a calcification of the vertebral artery. These bright specks here and here are also calcifications.
