Hello! I have an 09 Impala, and occasionally when I’m taking a left turn, the whole front end hops. And on cold mornings, it feels like it “pops” out of gear for half a second. I know it’s not trans related, but I feel like it’s axle/joint related. And there’s a heavy click when I switch from neutral to drive or reverse. And when I accelerate from a stop light, I hear that same click. Almost like there’s teeth missing on the axle. When I rotate the front wheels with the car in the air, that click is more prominent. I can get a video if needed. What should I start looking at? The axles have play moving side to side(from tire to car) on both sides. Is this normal?
