It seems that both procedures are charged at a flat rate of 4 hours. Wheel bearings cost about $100 each, with labor around $100 per hour, so you are looking at roughly $600 in total. If you can remove the steering knuckles yourself and take them to a shop, and use aftermarket or discounted factory bearings, you might reduce the cost to just over $300, assuming you don’t need new hubs. If hubs are required (and Camry hubs often slip and wear out), expect the total estimate to increase by around $200.
In this concept there would be no yaw due to connection cables, or the whole platform rotates? I mean how does it capture the wind from different directions?
A senior executive at China's solar giant Arctech has criticized US and European trade barriers, warning they could impede progress in renewable energy. Zhou Shijun emphasized that prioritizing protectionism over the best technology might hinder the global response to climate change. Arctech, a leader in solar tracking systems, is diversifying its market reach to the Middle East, Asia, and Latin America. With annual revenues of $886M and three factories in China, the company is also expanding globally, including new facilities in India, Saudi Arabia, and Brazil. Despite rising geopolitical tensions, Arctech remains optimistic about the inevitable global shift towards large-scale renewable energy. #RenewableEnergy #SolarPower #GlobalTrade #Sustainability #ClimateChange #CleanEnergy #Geopolitics #Innovation https://lnkd.in/dHYajYBc

Congratulations - that really is a remarkable achievement! When I was invited to visit MY last year, I was very impressed by the concrete part production and MY's steep learning curve. I was also very impressed by the R&D department and their premises. Now all the structural parts made of concrete, steel and composite material are combined with the mechanical and electrical components and the innovative OceanX floater is complete. I am very excited about the performance of the self-aligning system, which is based on nezzy2 from aerodyn and whose development EnBW is still supporting and driving forward.
EnBW – Germany with the R&D and offshore engineering department kicked off with aerodyn engineering in 2019 an innovative FOW project called Nezzy². Test campaigns in shallow waters and in harsh environmental offshore conditions in the Baltic Sea demonstrated the robustness and feasibility of the Nezzy² demonstrator in scale 1:10 in principle. We congratulate Ming Yang now to the successful launch of the Ocean X demo floater. The EnBW test results contributed to this remarkable milestone for the FOW industry. Looking forward now to test phase of the Ocean X project. Good luck for this important next milestone !
Hub bearings are readily available online and at auto parts stores. Opting for a less expensive option should still work well. A competent mechanic can usually install them for much less than a dealer would charge. The main challenge is that they can be difficult to remove if they’ve rusted into the hub.

I went to a local mechanic, who charged $100 for each bearing and $100 for each installation, totaling $400. Additionally, the alignment costs between $60 and $100, so expect to pay around $500. This is a good opportunity to replace any other worn parts, such as shocks or outer tie rods, since you’ll need an alignment.
Last week, I had the privilege of moderating an excellent panel at the Future Energy Asia Exhibition & Summit in Bangkok, titled “Gas and LNG as a cost-effective transition bridge – meeting present to long-term demand for low carbon energy”. Our panelists included Alan Heng, Christophe Malet, Narsingh Chaudhary, Varun Gujral and Andrew Walker, all of whom have significant experience in liquefied natural gas (LNG). The candid conversation didn’t just focus on energy transition, but also addressed the energy trilemma of security, sustainability and affordability. When #GHD launched our #SHOCKED campaign last year, we highlighted the significance of this challenge, and I am happy to see it being discussed so openly and clearly. Energy transition is a necessity which manifests differently across the globe. In Ontario, Canada, where I live, we’re fortunate to have a low-carbon electrical grid, using natural gas primarily for heating. As a result, we are on a journey of decarbonizing natural gas. In Southeast Asia, natural gas is vital for reducing the region’s reliance on the traditional use of coal. It’s a different discussion – the use of LNG can and must increase, at the same time as the rapid development of renewables such as solar, onshore wind, offshore wind and hydropower. This is very much an ‘AND’ situation; a combined, concurrent approach is essential to meet the region’s decarbonization mandate while addressing the energy trilemma sensibly. Ultimately, Asian nations will one day ask the same question we are in parts of the world: “what comes after natural gas?” If renewables, even with energy storage such as pumped hydro and batteries, cannot provide the baseload power required, what other technologies should we be considering? What is possible and what is practical? Transition implies change over time. Let us not look for perfect solutions when we know that we must continually progress. Thank you to the panel for a wonderful and open discussion of this important topic. Meet the highlights of the month of the Lithuanian sector. ? Construction announcement. The largest wind park in the Baltic region, with a massive capacity of 300 MW, is being built. The park that belongs to #Ignitis Renewables is located in Kelmė district. The commercial operation date is planned for 2025. ? The Lithuanian-designed method for recycling wind turbine wings is a step towards fully green wind energy. Scientists from Kaunas University of Technology (KTU) and the Lithuanian Energy Institute have proposed an innovative solution for recycling wind turbine wings - pyrolysis. The research team found that pyrolysis has a high environmental potential when comparing the environmental impact of pyrolysis of used wind turbine wings with their disposal in landfills, especially in terms of global warming, the depletion of the stratospheric ozone layer, and the scarcity of fossil and mineral resources. ? Updated strategy. The Cabinet of Ministers has adopted an updated version of the National Energy Independence Strategy (NENS), which aims to make Lithuania a climate-neutral and fully energy independent country by 2050. ? New tender. Energy Minister Dainius Kreivys says a new tender for a second 700 MW wind park in the Baltic Sea is planned for early 2025. The second call for tenders with the possibility to apply for state incentives failed after only one application was received by mid-April. There have been comments from market players that some of the tender conditions were too strict in the current economic situation. The Ministry will launch a new tender with updated conditions. ? Elektrum Lietuva is expanding its capacity in wind energy. Company has acquired 100% of the shares of the wind park project in Telšiai district. A total of 20 wind turbines with a capacity of 6.2 MW each are planned to be built, and their combined annual electricity generation will be able to supply more than 125,000 households. ? Negative decision. After more than a year of battles in the #Širvintos district, where residents strongly opposed the construction of a wind park, the local municipality has taken a negative decision on the EIA report. #windenergy #sectornews #electricity #lvea #greenenergy
I use Timken bearings from RockAuto, which are often reboxed OEM NSK or Koyo, costing about $35-40 each. Press work is roughly $40 per side, plus a four-wheel alignment afterward. However, you’ll need to be mechanically skilled and have the right tools to do this yourself.
