The Electrical Conformance Board of South Africa (ECB) was established in 1983 as the national umbrella body and customer champion within the electrical and electronic sector. It is an unbiased organisation where the general public , manufacturers, importers, designers, installers and the regulator use the ECB as their partner and interface between themselves and the various industry stakeholders. Promoting conformance, co-operation and support, the ECB works closely with organizations, such as the South African Bureau of Standards (SABS), to assist in the regulation of the industry.

SKT plain rubber strips and pads are made up of a natural rubber compound which complies to latest standard EN1337-3. These bearings are made without any reinforcing plates and are not recommended for high loads and bridge structures. SKT rubber strips and pads are available in 2 metre lengths with a wide range of widths and thicknesses available, providing a heavy duty load carrying capacity and allowing deflection and rotation, as these are only suitable for low pressure and static loads.

We offer the most comprehensive printed CoCs via hundreds of electrical wholesale outlets, however, we also offer online record keeping for you and your clients.

As as listed contractor we can verify your qualifications, assist with your training and keep you up to date. We are also compulsory for the CIDB.

A general choice of our standard sizes are shown within the technical brochure based on information typically available at the onset of a project. The SKT rubber strip and pads are also available in non-standard sizes and thickness with slots or holes for specific applications. We recommend contacting the technical department, where we can identify suitable sizes based on given information and can provide supporting data sheet to EN1337-3.
