Geislingercoupling

The system is intended for coupling fixed rakes of carriages buffer to buffer and still go round Hornby  radius  one curves.

The Roco Auto Coupler can be fitted as a direct replacement to the standard coupling pockets where automatic coupling is required. However a gap of 1mm is required between the carriages and tender to allow the couplings to interlock. Also a method of self centring is needed.

Contentcoupling

Functioning Buck Eye coupler. These are not auto couplers but function by slotting one inside the other similar to the coupling bars supplied with the Close Coupling System and designed as a replacement for them. The Buck Eye couplers are of near scale size.

From 1928 ‘K’ type Pullmans were built in steel for the ‘Queen of Scots’ trains on the LNER. In 1933 some more were built for use by the GWR but were transferred to the Southern Railway in 1935.
