These ball bearings are made of high quality Chrome Steel and are pre-lubricated with grease from the factory and are available in both RS (Rubber Seals) and ZZ (Metal Shields) configurations. The R16-2RS and R16-ZZ has a 1” ball bearing that is found in many applications. The R16-2RS ball bearing has two contact rubber seals, one on each side of the ball bearing. The R16-ZZ bearing has two non-contact metal shields, one on each side of the ball bearing. If your application requires a R16 ball bearing with only one seal or shield you can simply remove one of the shields or seals. This 1” ball bearing is a high quality product and can operate efficiently in many demanding applications.
