Threaded Rods are sometimes confused with threaded studs. The difference is that, when measured end-to-end, threaded studs are normally found in lengths of 12" or less, while threaded rods are typically between 2 ft. and 6 ft. in length. Hot Dip Galvanized Hex Nuts, which are tapped oversize, must be used with Hot Dip Galvanized Threaded Rod.
