550 Throttle Linkage Came Apart Welcome Guest, Log in or Register Author  ShepFL 09-23-2005 09:27:11 Report to Moderator On my 550 the ball and socket joint under the battery plate (LH side) is wore out. I have tried safety wire, baling wire etc to keep this together but all work arounds are unacceptable. Can these be obtained now? I was also going to ask KENT (550 part out guy on Ebay). Manual throttle setting is not very effective :) [Log in to Reply]   [No Email] 1755 09-27-2005 15:04:03 Report to Moderator  Re: 550 Throttle Linkage Came Apart in reply to ShepFL, 09-23-2005 09:27:11   I got a new one for ours last year or the year befor from Agco dealer for about $30.00 you can always refabrokate your old one later if you cant get one next time [Log in to Reply]  [No Email] Richard Jagels 09-24-2005 17:06:45 Report to Moderator  Re: 550 Throttle Linkage Came Apart in reply to ShepFL, 09-23-2005 09:27:11   I fixed mine by slipping a small lock washer over the ball then welding the lock washer to the linkage. The lock washer gives the socket a new top to hold the ball in place.
