2" idbearing

Cars, trucks, and industrial equipment depend on bearings to make their transmissions work more smoothly and efficiently. There are two types of bearings that are integral to a clutch system. They are the clutch release bearing and the pilot bearing. A bearing must be of superior quality in construction. This includes the grade of steel as well as the grease inside. The use and stress that are generated within the confines of the release bearing and the pilot bearing are constant. These bearings must stand up to these conditions or else premature failure is imminent. For the most part, these bearings are inexpensive relative to the other components involved in the clutch system and should be changed when replacing the clutch. If you decide to reuse an old bearing and it fails in a few thousand miles, you will kick yourself for not changing it when you replaced the clutch.
