Available with metal backing or o-ring on the seal OD for support and to prevent seal rotation. A variety of seal profiles provide the designer with significant improvement in performance over elastomeric seals at a much lower cost than mechanical face seals.

PTFE lip seals are formed or machined from wear resistant PTFE or TEFLON™ (trademark is owned by The Chemours Company) composites for long life, low friction, high surface speeds, poorly lubricated conditions and soft shafts.
