Not only the place was a complete rip off, the attitude from the employee/service worker that I was served was vulgar and insubordinate as I tried to explain them that my car was fine and inspected in another state with no problem. I was extremely upset. I will never visit a Firestone Auto center again, and will also make sure that everyone I know does the same!

I asked how the front wheels wouldn't be damaged in that case and just the rear wheels, and he conceded it was unlikely. They then settled on it must have happened while backing into something. Afterwards (as I'll explain shortly), the same manager told me that a damage like that would only occur with a large amount of direct force in that single spot. I asked if backing into something slowly (which I did not do but was pursuing his line of thinking) would cause that damage. He again conceded it was unlikely. I would have to hit something in reverse at a high speed. I then pointed out this would likely have caused damage to the exhaust or the underside of the car in some other way as well. He again conceded this would be likely. Yet, I had no other damage that was visible.

Same tires were in the same location at pickup, meaning they didn't do anything! No alignment, no rotation, no checking of the brakes. At least, they did the oil change (although who knows if they changed the filter). I went back the next day when the store manager was there, vented, and demanded my money back. While very apologetic, he didn't have anything in the way of an explanation or excuse. He further pointed out that the work ticket was signed off (and supposedly performed by) a manager, not necessarily one of the lower-level guys. This makes it even worse. What should be a position of responsibility within the organization is clearly apathetic and fraudulent. The store manager did provide a refund of the difference between the lifetime alignment package and a onetime alignment although it took me three trips to Firestone for him to finally agree and stop delaying. I guess he realized I wasn't going away.

They have closed and no longer in business. I have lifetime warranty on servicing my Bridgestone tires. They have left a telephone number which no one responds to. I have left messages with everyone with no response. My daughter also bought tires with the same lifetime warranty. There were no damages. I would just like my car serviced. I would appreciate someone getting back to me.

I had taken my car in for an oil change and when I picked it back up, I found a chip on my front windshield. I took the car back immediately to Firestone and the service representative told me they could not have caused the damage and refused to fix it. He said it must have been a rock chip! When I dropped the car off, it was not there. And the chip certainly did not happen after I picked my car up because I had noticed it immediately. Moreover, I was on a busy 40mph road! I cannot envision getting a rock chip in those driving conditions. In all, I know they are lying for sure but cannot do much about it! That is very disappointing. At least I learned a lesson not to deal with this location anymore.

We contacted a so-called local Firestone dealer about advertised offer in Sunday’s paper: buy one, get second tire 50% off. The independent Firestone dealer with Firestone signs all over the place said they do not participate in Firestone programs. What gives? This is false advertisement for sure. The government will be notified.

The brake light on my car stayed on even if I parked the car and turned the car completely off. No matter what I did, the brake lights remained on. So I decided to take my car to Firestone. Sam, the service advisor, told me that I have to get my brake switch replaced, and that I will be charged $20 for inspection, $45 for labor, and $50 for brake switch. Sam also informed me that it would only take 20 minutes. Forty minutes went by and I went to the actual technician to ask him what was taking so long. He told me that I was only missing a rubber piece to my brakes, and I did not need to be charged because this issue was very small and can be taken care of really quick. So I asked the tech why Sam told me I needed to replace my brake switch. The tech replied, "I do not know."

On 7-31-2010 about 3:45pm I brought my 2004 Chevrolet Silverado truck in to get some tires mount and balanced. The service man, Jim waited on me. Mr. Jim said he would be able to finish the truck before closing. When I arrived to pick up my truck, Mr.Jim stated he would not be able to mount and balance those "ghetto" wheels for that price the next time I come in for that price again and Mr.Jim stated the best thing I do was I bring some good tires that would last me a while so would not have come back for a while. He stated that flat stick on weights cost him about $124. A box of those ghetto wheel used 7 oz of weight on each of them. I talked to the tire tech and he said the wheels and tires was no problem to break down. Mr.Jim has no customer services skill. The things he said was not professional at all to a customer.

Weeks went by. The manufacturer finally concluded they were not at fault, because it wasn't defective. Firestone's manager said they just replaced it without cost "as a courtesy" to me.

The appointment was made 9am this morning, upon which the van was not even moved into the shop until 10:30, and the work was not completed until 1pm. At that point I was told that the Abs sensor was bad, and they wanted over $100.00 to replace it. I chose to replace it myself which is a five minute job and $35.00. It was not a surprise to find out this did not fix the problem, but yet it seemed like another attempt to get more money from us.

Here's our examination of the events in question: Our car has been serviced for several years by Firestone. If there was an oil leakage, they never indicated so. Furthermore, the time before last, when we took the car to the Firestone in Pembroke Pines, they examined the car to see if it had anything wrong, and there was no leakage detected. Neither did they, in the Southwest Ranches store, detect a leak when we took it for service 3 weeks before it exploded.

On 02/24/10, I took my vehicle to the Firestone dealer for oil, lube and tire rotation. The tire rotation is free since I purchased my tires from them. During a trip to California I happened to check the tire pressure and found that when they rotated the tires the mechanic failed to check for proper inflation. My Yukon calls for 50 psi in front and 80 psi rear. However, it was reversed.

I took the car to my mechanic, who WILL NOT do unnecessary work. He told me the back brakes had 25-30% life left on them, rotors in good shape, finding it ridiculous that Firestone told us they were 100% gone. He did not find the oil pan to be leaking after removing it. The new plug Firestone put in seemed to do the trick, so I'm confused as to why they couldn't just tell me about that possibility in the first place. I guess they don't hear No often enough.

I took my car to Firestone to have the battery replaced. I got there around 10:30 AM. I waited for one and a half hours, then they took my car to the back. Seeing that I was in the waiting area, I am not sure what was going on. About 45 minutes later, David calls me to the front to check me out and go over the recommendations of four tires alignments, oil change. He also said that my hoses were soft and my windshield wiper. He said that my engine light was on and that it may be that I need a tune up. He said that it ran kind of rough. He and I had a conversation about my windshield wiper and he and I were laughing.

My mechanic found a phone number for consumer complaints with Firestone and I spoke to them, giving them necessary information and I was given a case number and told they would contact me in a few business days. This was July 30, 2010. In the mean time, I cannot drive the car in this condition. It is very hard to turn corners and the noise is louder. It will eventually break and I don't know what other damages will come from this. I cannot go to work without a car. I just want Firestone to replace the parts that were broken, when they claimed to do a wheel alignment on my car.

I didn't have a number to call her back or a supervisor to report her behavior too, I am disputing the charges, I bought the items on sale and they changed my sale price to the regular price at a later date when I didn't pay the account in their time, but always was on time with payments, account was almost paid off until they changed price on items.

Much later a mechanic informed me that the pressure in the remaining three new tires from Albuquerque was grossly low. Since I had these new tires installed precisely for this trip, they should have been sure that the pressure was the correct one most people inflate their tires. The man across the street told me that the Toyota dealer put five pounds more pressure in his spare after his tire light came on. Since I am 83, I expected that most mechanics should know that it is necessary to put more than the recommended air in tires--one does not need a soft ride, but firm tires that will repel objects which soft tires will accept. As a result I missed seeing both parks because I had to be in Yosemite at a certain date for a workshop.

The dealership claimed that they tried to please me. Bottom line is they "overcharged" me for a set of Goodyear tires. They recommended Bridgestone tires for $182 per tire and allowed to exchange for original equipment (Goodyear) because of dissatisfaction with road noise. A local Goodyear dealer sells that tire for $112 per tire. Mr. ** refused to refund any amount and told me the cost was the same. No dealership would charge another dealer more than the consumer off the street. He was rude, disrespectful, and was true to his local reputation. He marked that tire up $70 per tire.

I again told him about the reset button, and I told him that I have purchased my first set of tires (same car) with Firestone and they knew what and how to do that. He still said he didn't know and said, "Show me," in which I did. His reply, "We don't do that" and I told him Firestone has always taken care of that. So then Wayne said, "Well, that's going to take a long time" and I need to bring my car back. I left, trying to figure out when I can get back there. I went home and called another Firestone location and they told me it is no problem and will take only a minute to reset my computer. On Friday, April the 3rd, I went back and told him the way he had treated me and that he should not talk or judge anyone when he doesn't know or has no right to say what he did and act the way he did. Needless to say, my computer was reset in 1 minute and he gave me the balance. I or anyone else should never have been treated this way. Yes, I was very embarrassed and his reply, "It was a joke."

I needed a new Mass Air Flow Sensor. I didn't know that Firestone had to have another company deliver the part because Firestone did not have the part in stock. After I had the work completed and went home I went on line to check what the sensor would have cost if I purchased it. Firestone marked up the part for my car 400% If I purchased the part it would have cost me 139.00. Firestone pays a lot less. I was told at Firestone that the part would cost me $409.00. I to the clerk at Firestone to put in a remanufactured sensor which still cost me $279.00 plus $100.00 to analize the problem which most repair shops don't charge you if they do the repair. I was also charged $30.00 for installation which took exactly 10 seconds. Be you have your care repaired check and see how much the parts cost if you buy them verses what the repair shop is charging you.

They reluctantly checked it and said that they would honor it and gave me a quote for Tire plus Installation (which was $37.5 per tire). When I said that I don't want to install at their store, they balked and told me that they would only give me the discount if I did the Install at their store. I left their store after telling them that they should not mislead people. This store had very hostile environment. I felt like I was committing a crime by asking for discount. This is the worst auto repair experience I had to date. Never again... I promise, never again at any Firestone.

On July 27, 2005, I brought my car in to have a tune up. On the invoice, it is marked as putting platinum plugs into my car. After a few months, the car started to run sluggish, so, I went and purchased my own platinum plugs and had them installed by a reputeable mechanic. He took out the old plugs and told me these were not platinum plugs. I still have the plugs as proof of the garbage they had installed in my car. The cost of this rip-off tune up was $77.39. I would like this company investigated, as I don't want to see others being ripped 0ff.

I have a 2005 Malibu 4-cyl. About 3 months ago, I started noticing that my cruise control would occasionally stop working. I soon found out why. One night while driving home on a dark road, I noticed that my brake lights would come on for no reason (this is why my cruise control would kick off), without me touching the brake pedal. I brought it to Firestone who stated it was a brake pad sensor and this is what the computer said. They put a new sensor in but the problem still continued. I took it back and they did not know why and supposedly changed it again. They told me that I may have a short somewhere but if there is a "next time", I would have to take it to the dealer.

About 1 hour wait, I finally got the car to start and we rode 5mph down the highway until we made it back to Firestone. Another mgr., Ryan, was waiting. He check our car and came up with five more things he said was wrong. I told him that his mechanic (Jose) have messed up my 300m Chrysler 1999. He did stated that he was sorry and explain that his diagnostic person has been off work for 3 weeks and he will return our money $626.69. They couldn't fix our car.

On 07/08/09 at approximately 5:05 pm, I took my 2006 GMC Envoy Denali in to the above address to have an alignment done. The alignment was done and I departed the service center thinking everything was okay. By the way, on 06/26/09, I had just had brand new tires put on the above vehicle. On 11/26/09, my wife took our car in to have an oil change done and to rotate the tire, but the car care center would not do it because the front tires had too much wear on them. We ended up taking our car back to Firestone center here in Florida and they advised us that the alignment was not done correctly and that there was a problem with the left wheel hub assembly which caused the wear on the tires. My complaint is that this should had been found when the alignment was done in GA.

I went into Firestone Service Center and told the man behind the counter that my wife's car has to be started by jumper cables and that this has to be done almost every time she starts the car. They checked the battery and said it was good. They showed me a spark plug wire that was a little torn and said this could be the problem. I said, "If you think it is, go ahead and fix it." Well, the bill was $294.39. My wife drove the car home a couple of hours later. She tried to start the car but it would not start. We drove the car to AutoZone, where we bought the battery. They checked the battery. IT WAS NO GOOD. They installed a new battery so the car starts fine now.

I drove my car immediately to Sears (where I had the battery replaced before). Sears technician tested the battery and told me the battery is in good working condition, there was nothing wrong with it. I realized that Firestone had turned on the lights (with engine off) to drain the battery; then they test the battery to show you your battery is in critical condition... expecting you to let them put a new battery when you don't really need to. A saleslady from Firestone Headquarter/Sales Center called to tell me about a promotion. I told her the story, and I said that I will report a complaint to the BBB. I was too busy to do that. But I'd never return to that Firestone again.

Let's begin by saying that 2 of Firestone Complete Auto Center had decided to not service my 2007 Pontiac G6 and proceed to take my money. I have leased this vehicle since February 2007. The site of service to no avail was Firestone Complete. I have documentation to show I have had several services performed there in which the complete job was not performed. I have now decided to no longer use this company as of August 2009 for oil and tire rotation maintenance.

I have been a Firestone customer for over 20 yrs and it is getting almost impossible. I used to use 2310 Olive in St. L. & 12/07 had terrible experience there. Then I moved to IL and wanted to go to Fairview Heights which is convenient. I had a low tire in Sept & I asked if I could come up and have someone check my tire. Employee insisted I go someplace closer. I am 3 miles away & tried to explain that to him over & over. It turns out I needed a new tire but since he insisted I go somewhere else, I did. I purchased 4 new tires - Bridgestone - but NOT from Firestone, thanks to that guy.

After going in for an oil change and a noise concern, they recommended getting the following: front pads, front rotors, brake flush, coolant flush, clean and adjust rears. They are such a rip off! They gave us an estimate of over $600. After taking the car to the Nissan dealership, the only items that indeed needed fixing were the front brakes; and instead of replacing and getting new rotors, they machined them. After a light bulb needed and a battery service, I only paid $200. Please always get a second opinion; and although the dealership is more expensive, it's more trustworthy.

I fly several times a week and told him that would not be possible! Then on my way back from NC, I had a tire blow, the one they had supposedly fixed the leak in! I went to remove my tire and replace it with a spare when I discovered I couldn't, I did not have the tools necessary to remove my spare due to the wrong size lug's having been placed on my spare. So I called a Highway Patrol to dispatch a tow truck to the road side. The tow bill was $399.50 and I called Bret at Firestone to tell him he was responsible for the bill. He said he would pay and to send him the invoice.

I went to the service center to purchase tires for my 2005 Dodge Durango. I had already went online to look up the tires that I needed to purchase through their online website in which you use the zip code to determine what store is close to you and which tires and services are available. I went into the store this morning and was greeted by a young man by the name of Melvin that was working the service desk. I informed Melvin of what I needed to purchase and he began looking for the product on the computer.

On 9/14/09, I decided to have my oil changed during my lunch break. I had a choice of several coupons that I could redeem. Once I pulled up to the location, I was approached by an elderly white male who then asked me how he could help me. The first thing I wanted to know was how much was an oil change. From that point, I would decide which coupon I could use to save me the most money. I was quoted $29.99 (because my car was a 6-cylinder). I had a coupon that gave me $10 off of an oil change, so I wanted to use that coupon. He told me that an oil change with my coupon would be $34 (#3 for a disposal fee). He said that's the coupon. I wasn't sure if it automatically included my coupon when I didn't have it in sight when I asked him the price of an oil change.

Police called to document damage and report that it was "fresh" as the manager tried to tell me it was curb damage. How likely is it that I hit a curb with all 4 rims? They even went as far as to write an additional note (in different handwriting and with a different pen) on the service ticket that said all 4 rims have curb damage. They had given me the original ticket the previous night when I left my car and it did not have the note, only their copy had it and that was after police were called. This resulted to $3500 in damage to my custom 22" rims.

I am a single female and no mechanic in the family or neighborhood so I thought I could depend on Firestone. I have for more than 20 years. That time is really coming to an end with service like that! I am retired, I do not want to come in at 7:30AM. I prefer a later time of the day. I am willing to wait a couple days to have my car serviced so an appt can be scheduled and I do not have to wait a long time. Evidently Fairview Heights store cannot do that! Do I have to discontinue my relationship with Firestone completely and go somewhere else? You tell me how to handle this and I will take it under advisement.

I am extremely shocked from the repeatedly maleficent customer care, extortion with unnecessary services and waste of time for me as a customer, as well as ignorance towards my preferences. I apply to you for explanation of the different standards in these stores. How is it possible to receive service in one location and get the opposite result of inspection from another? The manager in store #011630 was assuring me how damaged the tie rod was, and this was completely refuted in two other automotive shops. I believe that this is a very hostile customer service and I doubt it should be supported by Firestone Complete Auto Care policy. I would appreciate some explanation as I am determined not to tolerate such attitude.

On 3/18/09, I had my car towed in after running hot on the MA Turnpike. Firestone was very quick to claim no engine problems that they could tell, but they said they were afraid to road-test because of causing more damage to the motor. They tested the engine at the garage but found no leaks, and then thought that the problem was caused by the water pump. I authorized the replacement of the water pump, the thermostat, etc. I picked up the car that evening. Approximate cost was $573.00.

I spoke with Luis whom I asked for corporate office number and never got that. I got a voice mail box survey line which tells me to leave information and a field manager will get back with you; nothing never happened. I spoke to Luis again, then he gave me a field manager number who then asked me to fax over paperwork of services rendered of another company that did the job correctly. I never heard back from him, not one time, after paperwork was submitted that William ** asked for.

When they handed me the bill I was informed that the truck had failed the emmissions test and I had NO STICKER! They told me they didn't know why it failed and that I should now take it to an emmission specialist! But they would retest it later for free (which they have to do by law anyways)I was definitely mislead during our phone conversation and left before I lost it and I'll pay someone else $50 for another inspection before I go back to these con artists. This kind of hustle is what gives all mechanics a bad rep.

I bought a used Mini Cooper S from a friend with 2 sets of rims. After hitting a bad pothole, I noticed a bend in one of my rims. So I decided to swap out the rims with the second set of rims that came with the car. On the second set of rims, there were 2 tires mounted and the other 2 rims were bare. I made it perfectly clear that I wanted all 4 tires that were already on the car on the new rims. The 2 old tires on the spare set removed and kept as spare tires.

All I wanted was a quick oil change. No one was in the store when I walked in. After an hour, I voiced a complaint. Then they told me that I had a serious safety issue - I had a crack in my tie rod ends. I did not ask for a safety check - but I received a list of items that had to be repaired - totaled $869.44! They charged not for one, but two; and the district manager said that it was a computer error and they would have fixed it before I left. To make a long story short, I went straight to my mechanic of 30 years and I did not need all that was recommended. What I did get was a nail in my tire in the side. So this tire store looked at everything but my tires? Imagine that! Folks, don't go there. You will be used!

As I drove home the same noise was noticed and increased and I knew it had not been fixed. I then decided there was something wrong even though Firestone could find nothing. Took it to the Toyota dealer. Toyota immediately found the problem and fixed the following: New brake job, Shim kit - the shims were missing so they replaced them, had to replace Bracket #6827 because threads were stripped. The total job was $110.00 for labor and parts were $225.57 for a total of $335.57. I then on 06/09/08 I took info and back to Firestone and talked to a service man. I requested a refund. They did not have cash on hand to refund the money so service person said they would get a money order and mail it to me because I did not want to make another trip for the money. He was prompt in sending money order and we received the next day. However, he refused to pay for the missing shims and the damaged brackets. I discussed this with the service person and he said there would not be any refund for work that was not done by Firestone. I strongly feel that the fault lies with Firestone who could not find a problem. I appeal to you to give me the amoount it cost to actually repair ($335.57) the car and the wasted time I spent at Firestone because of the negligence of your company. I have all tickets that are involved and also Kathryn at Toyota will verify.

A little after 3:00, Sam called and the car needs a new starter. He has a new one on the way. Again I phoned the DM and in few words, I told him I want my car today. He said he understands and I will get the car today. At 6:30PM I left a message with the DM saying I realize that I'm not getting my car today. Tomorrow morning I will seek other remedies. The DM phoned and asked me if Sam called (he hadn't) to tell me the car wasn't ready. I am angry at this point and tired of all the running around. The DM (who is in Dallas) can give no assurance as to when the car will be ready. The DM is to have the car taken to another shop tomorrow to have the work finished.

To shield the flight crew, the nose section of the aircraft was modified to include a 12-ton lead and rubber shield. The standard windshield was replaced with one made of 6-inch-thick (15 cm) acrylic glass. The amount of lead and water shielding was variable. Measurements of the resulting radiation levels were then compared with calculated levels to enhance the ability to design optimal shielding with minimum weight for nuclear-powered bombers.[4]

Jan. 10, 2009, no call from Firestone so I called around 1:00PM and I quote Sam, "They have been working on it all last night and all day today. Let me check to see if there is anything they need to tell you." A few minutes later he came back and said, "They have found that they have to drop the transmission and install the engine from underneath because it is a front wheel drive." They just discovered this after working all the previous night and all day on the car. I just hung up. At approximately 4:00PM, Sam called and said that the guy who has been working on my car all the previous night and all day this day is tired because the work is heavy and dangerous. He doesn't want him to get hurt and he needs to rest. At what I believe to be a lie I said, "I want my car by close of business Monday" and twice I asked if this was realistic and he said yes.

I asked if I could use the caliper to measure the right rotor but I was told no since I don't work there. I then asked the front desk guy to measure the right rotor and show me why it needed replacement. He proceeded to measure the rotor to which I showed him that he also was using the caliper incorrectly.

The next step was the technician took a stainless steel pry bar and wedged it between the tire and the rim to break the tire seal off the rim. I immediately pointed out that stainless steel is harder than aluminum alloy and could cause damage to the wheel. Looking directly at my girlfriend and I who just witnessed him prying against the wheel with that same bar, the store manager told me, “That bar didn't touch the rim.” I explained I just witnessed it with my own eyes. He then recounted with, “Well, that is a steel wheel, and they get tight seals sometimes, but normally it doesn't.” This is when he proceeded with a wrench to attempt to show me how a harder tool couldn't possibly do that damage to a wheel. He used a small steel wrench (I believe it was a 9/16 or a 3/4 perhaps) and scrapped along the wheel. It did no damage.

Do not take your vehicle to the Firestone in Baton Rouge, La. on Florida Street (downtown). I paid for a set of tires and an alignment. As soon as I left the store, I noticed my alignment was worse than it was when I brought the car in. The next day I brought the car back, a man drove it around the block and told me it was fine. Weird. I asked for the mechanic to actually look at the car, maybe check the alignment again. They told me I would have to leave my car for the day, again. I could not. So, I got there the moment they opened the next day. Again, for one reason or another they could not look at the car. They finally admitted that their alignment machine is off an inch and half and unable to be calibrated (I got this in writing).

Note I paid extra money back on 2005 for a lifetime brakes, lifetime front-end alignment, and lifetime balancing on tires and now I am afraid to go back to Firestone for any work. Is this their way of saying we are done with you and we are not going to honor these services I have already paid for? Recently I went to a Junk yard to see if they had any rims available but there were no Toyotas on the lot of this year. I went to Crazy Ray's in Jessup, MD.

On Thursday, I went for an oil change and they again pulled the same junk, tried to sell brakes, gas filter and a serpentine belt. I refused all and contacted my mechanic. He verified the serpentine belt did not need to be changed. Every time this happens I call them on it and it's the same story, "Oh well, we changed management and this won't happen again," or "Oh, we read the measurement wrong." This store should be closed by the BBB.

Once paid and behind the wheel, I started the car and there was a loud noise coming from the water pump area. I requested the tech to take a drive with me. As soon as I started the car, the tech could hear the noise. We drove the car and received a check engine light. The car was then hooked up to the computer, and the error was a misfire on cylinder #1. They checked the plugs and reset the computer. I left the car with them overnight. This was around 10 pm on the 21st.

This is a complain about a Firestone Auto care located on Transit Road in Williamsville, NY. This is the worst experience I have ever had in my life. I dropped off my car for the New York state inspection. I had fully inspected this car in another state with Toyota motors by a licensed Toyota mechanic just two days before coming to New York since I was selling my car to family members in New York. The ONLY reason why I needed to inspect this vehicle in New York again was that I was selling my car in that state and the New York DMV wanted to get my car inspected in the state that I was selling my car in.

June 11, 2010 I took my 1997 Blazer to this Firestone to determine what was causing the various sounds that occurred when I turned my steering wheel and the sound that would occur on the right front tire while driving. After 4 hours Firestone called and stated that I needed the following: Idler Arm and Pitman Arms, Bushings, Sway Bar Link Kits, and Alignment Service. These recommended services costing $967.92 were fraudulent because I another Firestone and a different auto repair shop had already made these same recommended repairs less than two months ago.

I told him I would take it to someone else. He informed me they still had to do the tire balance and rotation. I was lied to, and spent way too much time at their store for nothing to be done. They had one car in their shop. Firestone will not be getting any more buissness for me and I will encourage as many people as I can to not do buiness with this store. I had to pay the 39.75 any way.

I went to Firestone to get an oil change. When I was cashing out, the guy told me I need new tires in the front. I thought that was crazy because I just bought the car less than a year ago with new tires and barely put 3,000 miles on it. When I got to the car, I noticed that the worn out tires on the car were in fact not my tires at all. I called the manager Jeremy and he hung up on me. I have to drive my son around in an unsafe car and replace the tires that I knew were not mine.

I'm filing this complaint on behalf of my 83-year-old mother. She lives in San Antonio. On 11/16/2009 after visiting my sister, she was having some trouble with her car starting, it was clicking but then it started. She recently replaced the battery because she thought that was what was causing the problem. So she stopped at this Firestone on Perrin Beitel which is close to my sister's house. My sister or I did not know she went to Firestone until after all this happened. Firestone told her she needed a starter, so my mom asked them to fix it so she wouldn't get stuck somewhere.

Back in September 2009, I took my vehicle in for maintenance. During the repairs, Firestone caught my vehicle on fire inside the cab burning the wiring harness under the dash. They assured me they would fix it and clean up the fire extinguisher remnants. In June 30, 2010, I began having electrical problems. I took my vehicle to the dealer. They told me my problems were a direct result of the burnt wiring and poor attempt to put it back together. To top it off, the wiring harness is a discontinued item. I asked them if they had any junk yard contacts. They said they did, but to give them a few days to put out an online request nationwide. After five days, there wasn't any response to the request. I informed Firestone of what was going on. The service manager asked me to bring the truck back to their master electrician who could rebuild the harness if they couldn't find the part. We scheduled it for the next morning.

I mentioned that I had paid their fee for diagnostic on system and was told that "we only check the system outside...not the interior switches." Switch was working fine before their superior service. LOL. As if the interior switch had nothing to do with running the system....Is this a separate system? I don't think so!!! Told them they were pirates and that if I didn't get satisfaction, I would take it to Firestone Central offices and report to both consumer affairs and BBB. The store manager looked at me with deer in headlights look and gave me another manager's business card. No response to date.

Within the week, I sent a letter to the store manager, Phil, describing what I described in the paragraph above. I also sent a letter to Firestone Complete Auto Care Consumer Affairs regarding this same issue. On June 6, I received a phone call from Phil. I reviewed my problem with him and his response went something like this: "There are a lot of different things that can influence tire pressure.” I asked him to give me an example of what might influence two tires on the same side of the vehicle to increase by five (5) PSI above the maximum recommended pressure, while the two tires opposite them remained at normal pressure. He could not produce a clever enough answer. And with that, he simply reiterated his vague and uninformative answer.

I arrived at this location at 4:44. Dale checked in my car and told me it would be about an hour wait. I agreed to stay and wait. At 5:30 pm, I saw a guy go out to my truck and go back into the garage so at 6:00 pm, I decided to go and ask when they would be getting to my truck. Willie told me that no one could start my car, so I asked him, "Why didn't someone come in and ask me why it wouldn't start (you have to push the blinker down)?" They just looked. I went to the guy in the office at 6:35 and asked him to see what the holdup was. He did nothing but continued on the computer. Finally at 6:50, they pulled my truck in and completed the job at 7:40.

I drove the car for sometime after that, but could not take it anymore. I took my car to the Acura dealer. They could not find anything wrong with my front end, but said it was my tires. I argued with them because I have new tires on. After checking my front end again, Acura said I had the wrong tires size on, the wrong speed rating. And I also found out that Firestone does not sell a tire with the name brand Nanking. I purchased a new set of tires at the price of $833.44. This was done on 06-11-10, and my problem was solved. We as consumers do not know the ins and outs of our car care. That’s where we count on the expert to help us, not to just make a sale. I know it will not hurt Firestone, but I will never purchase anything else from you all. Thanks.

They then told me that if I choose to only have the rotors resurfaced then the Firestone 12 month/12K mile warranty would not apply, as stated on the back of the Customer Invoice. Was this a scare tactic to get me to buy new rotors? Basically, they were telling me that they were going to perform a service that was fully within the scope of their job but they would not back up their work. At no time did I ask them to break the law or perform any work that is beyond the limits set forth by the manufacturer.

In Oct. or Nov. 2008, I took my car to a Firestone shop to be aligned. They aligned it and asked if I wanted to buy the "Lifetime Alignment". It was around $50 or $60 I think. They said I could bring my car in anytime for life and have it aligned for free.

I have a 2002 Dodge Intrepid with just over 80K miles. I have had this car since new so I know the maintenance history. I knew I was in the need of brake service (new linings, resurface the rotors) so I took my car to Firestone in Lawrence, MA - store # 671. The right rear rotor had a slight gouge in it but the other three had no surface damage.

I went back inside the lobby to ask Sam, the service advisor, why I was being charged for a part that I do not need. After Sam got off the phone from ordering my part, which was an hour later from when I first got there, Sam told me that I didn't make any sense and that I should replace it. At that very moment, I left and went to another place. The new place I went to did not charge me anything because it was just a rubber piece missing. They told me that my brake switch was fine. Now my brake lights work. I am very upset with Firestone. Firestone is no better than Tire Kingdom. Sam still charged me $20 for bad service and false diagnosis. I want my money back.

Monday March 1, 2010 I took my car in for a complete brake check and oil change. The back brakes where not finish that day because they didn’t have the correct parts to finish them. The return my car and asked me to come back another day to finish the work on the back brakes. On Friday April 9, 2010 by back brakes failed on me and caused me to get in a car accident.

Jan. 12, 2009 I have to phone DM and list the above sequence of events. He is understanding and said he will get in touch with the store. Sam phoned and the car will not be ready as previously promised, but barring any major problems, it will be ready by 1:00PM the next day. On Jan. 13, 2009 Sam called and said the car will not be ready at 1:00PM, maybe at two. I asked what the bill will be and he give a price of over $1,100. I called the DM again and am not happy at all. The DM apologized for the way things have been handled and said there will be no charges. At 2:00 I went up to the store to get my car and it is not ready. I will be back at three.

So two years ago, I was in Firestone to get a wheel alignment. In a moment of weakness, the store manager convinced me to get the lifetime package. This means I should never have to pay for an alignment again and can get wheel alignment on demand (within reason I would think, once every 1-2 years). Firestone also claims that you get lifetime tire rotation with tire purchases. So a month ago, I took my car in for oil change, rotation, alignment, and to have the brakes checked. They called me back a few hours later letting me know the car is ready. What they didn't realize is that I knew exactly which tires were in which location prior to bringing the car in.

I then got a call from Gary and voicemail telling me that the inspection of the head cylinder (first time I heard the word) and not gasket was cracked and it would cost $2300 for a refurbished part, new bolts, gasket and labor (including the $300). I told him I had to see if I could swing it and would call back. When I finally called back later that day (early evening) I ended speaking with Tom (Gary gone, Mike gone, and Cory not there). When I told Tom I could not do the repairs and would pick up the vehicle and pay them their three hours, Tom told me basically that I had to have the car towed.

Two things wrong- New tires were ordered and sold to my wife and mounted and balanced with a front end alignment included. This Maxima that she drive is maintained at all times and I [her husband] keep a close eye on what is going on with this vehicle at all times. The car was returned with a check list of items needed to be done [ new brake pads mainly ] however after we drove the car away- the radiator was busted- It had a sharp impact along the top edge [an exposed area] of the plastic radiator. Fluids were steaming out of this as we got home.

I have to pay for cabs, rental cars. Worried because I work so far away if I am going to lose my job when my boss gets tired of me not being able to be at work on time everday like I am used to.

I took it in there on a Friday so that it will be finished in time for me to go to work. Went to pick it up on Saturday was told that the needed a part and it would be finished on Sunday. Went to pick it up on Sunday and my car was shooting metal shavings out of it and it wouldn't stay started. They said it would be fixed Monday and that they would knock off $100.00 dollars. Came for it on Monday and it was smoking and over heating. I had to take off Monday and My Man had to take off Tuesday. Melvin said that it will be finshed Wednesday and it was at no charge plus a 6 month warranty.

I went to this location to perform a regular maintenance in my company vehicle, I provided a document with the details of the labor that needed to be done Mr Nino iformed me that in bout 1 hour the car will be ready, I left and came back 2.5 hours later, the vehicle was still on the ramp, thay replaced 4 tires, alignment, windshield washer fluid ( that was full ), when I asked him who authorizaed the work, he said do not worry about it you are not going to pay for it, another young man ( 20 yr aprox ) (mechanic) interrupted claiming that he as the owner, that he was a kid (20 yrs old man) but he was the owner, raised his voice and said that I should sign the bill and leave the store, that I shouldn't complaint because I wasn't paying for it,

I have been a Firestone customer since 1982- through out the years I have been treated well until saturday 3/25/2006. The staff that runs the place is the worst I have ever seen. In additon to been rude they are jibbers. I took my car for inspection. They check the car and came back to me saying all I need was a license plate bulb. However, they give me a list of things that I need to do on the car later. When I look at the list I saw change the oil was one of the five things. I said to the man behind the counter how does tne service man knows that I need an oil change? He said to me he knows - I said sir I change my oil one week ago do you still think I need an oil change? He tried to talk down to me and I would not allow him.

Leo called me and was very insistent to the point of being rude that they did a good job. I have it in writing that I agreed to letting them keep the car to locate the problems. He is trying to say I wouldn't let them keep the car. When I told him Cadillac found the reason for the batteries burning out in a day, his answer was, "Well it never did it when we had the car so how would we know?" My answer was: "How did Cadillac find the problem and why didn't you check after three batteries burned out in a 2-3 week time?"... At this point I could see we were getting nowhere so I said Good Bye. My main complaint now is how rude he was & offering stupid answers just to defend their work.

Shortly after, he called without customer relations on the phone stating, "You know that you had wire problems before." I told him that I didn't know nothing until I asked to buy a new battery that took three to four hours and then my car wouldn't crank. I advised him that I was having my hair washed and would have to get back with him. As a result, my car scrubs and the blinkers work when they want to and God knows what else they did. I will never go to or recommend Firestone to anyone--not even to my pet dog!

In May 1946, the Nuclear Energy for the Propulsion of Aircraft (NEPA) project was started by the United States Army Air Forces. Studies under this program were done until May 1951 when NEPA was replaced by the Aircraft Nuclear Propulsion (ANP) program. The ANP program included plans for Convair to modify two B-36s under the MX-1589 project. One of the B-36s was used to study shielding requirements for an airborne reactor, while the other became the X-6.[2]

My vehicle still has problems starting ever since Firestone installed the battery. I am bringing my vehicle to a repair shop to find out what the problem is. I plan to contact Interstate Batteries who supply Firestone with batteries. I also plan to contact the Jefferson Parish District Attorney's Office Consumer Protection Office and the Better Business Bureau of New Orleans Metro Area.

I took my Ford F150 PU in because it was trying to overheat on my way to work. I dropped it off. They charged $85.19 for computerized engine analysis and quoted me $3,158.57 to fix my truck. The list included replacing the lower intake manifold, thermostat, all the hose, radiator, flush and replace coolant, and fuel treatment cleaner plus $968.60 for labor. I paid for the computerized engine analysis. I told them to put it back together and had my son pick it up with his trailer and took it to Morgan's Auto Care in Whitney, Tx. Morgan's replaced my thermostat, radiator cap and, flush and replaced the coolant. The total, parts and labor came to $95.01. I work for a company that runs fleet vehicles and used to use Firestone. The GM said, "No more."

After doing so he said,I dont know what happend the first time but the measurements were wrong, your tires are fine. I believe that they thought they were dealing with someone that didnt know any better, and thought they would get over on me. I will not go back to this firestone ever again.

Later on I asked Jose whats going on? he said that they are about to start doing the alignament. So I asked him if the tire is OK. he tells me, if I want it done or not. I just said Yes. Later on they said that one of the bolts in the tire got broken because the last person who rotated the tires in the car dindn't properly inserted the nut. he gave me an estimate of the car needs, he said that if we do all the estimate in firestone he would fix the bolt @ no cost, estimate is $536.02. So I said stop, Is your fault your service technician broke it and they have to fix it any way. He said that there is no time today. that they will do it the next day.

I pointed out that he was just scrapping lightly and he had earlier informed me that it would take "quite an impact" to cause that damage. He again conceded I was correct and again attempted to show me that a tool wouldn't cause this damage by hammering on the now ruined wheel with a wrench. In the process, he further damaged the wheel by causing the wrench to dig out chips of alloy from the wheel. After I pointed out that he had just shown a little wrench could damage the wheel, so therefore a pry bar or some other tool with far more force obviously could, he basically backed up and said, "I was just trying to get a free wheel out of them, and I was welcome to pursue the matter if I had the time." He then walked back into the store.

Today is Tuesday March 07, 2006 and they have not worked on my SUV. I need my automobile because I am a U.S. Marine and I travel alot because of my duty station. They keep telling me to go back another day and I just want them to fix it or not give it back so i could take it somewhere else so they could fix it.

We don't know the exact number of miles the car was driven after it was serviced, we don't keep track of our mileage, and only go by the sticker Firestone puts on the windshield before we take it back for an oil change. What we do know is that we drove the car as we normally would: to/from work and to see my parents. If the car did have some oil, though not enough, it wouldn't be unreasonable for it to work for a while.

When I lived in Richmond, VA a few years ago, I went to a Firestone there for an oil change. They told me I needed new CV boots and axle. I didn't even have a job yet. I was all alone there. I even asked at the nearby police station if these people were reputable. They charged me $500 for "an axle" which turned out to be just half of a re-manufactured one.

It was late so he called for me a rental car for 1 day until we come back July 10, 2010 to pick our car up. We called a tow truck to take it to Dodge Chrysler, 5900 Richmond, VA. Matt (Dodge Chrysler) stated after the first diagnostic, $1,344.70 of parts and labor. We have sent out repair bills and car rental and fax after fax to Greg (District Mgr.) with no resolution. My car is still at Dodge Chrysler (Matt) waiting on a hand tester to be hooked up to the car while driving read the function on my car. I talked to another Bridgestone District Mgr. and he said that he wanted to solved the situation. He offered us $200 for car rental and $200 for stress. We are still out of a car and Dodge Chrysler has to undo the blunder from Firestone mechanic have done. We really need help with unsolved situation. We are on the losing end and see no way out. Like I have mention no car and I'm on a fixed income.

Why would Firestone charge so much more for the same repair? I was also told that a lifetime warranty should be done at $159, but not according to the dealership or repair shop. I will not return or recommend this store or possibly Firestone to anyone.

I brought my car in the next morning and the first thing he did was check the oil on the dipstick. There were 2 other mechanics at the shop and they both said I needed to change my oil. I had just had it done 90 miles or 2 days before. There was gritty stuff in it and all three said that the oil wasn't good. My mechanic proceeded to change the oil and it was black and not clean looking; and not like it was only 90 miles old. My mechanic then said that the oil was not as full as it should have been and the oil change was not properly done.

When she left, she had a bill for over $2400. They told her that her car was in bad shape and could leave her stranded unless she made repairs. They replaced the tires, shocks, struts, all the hoses and belts, tune up with platinum plugs, brake job, front end alignment. Remember my mom is 83, she does not have a job and is on a fixed income. They told her she would not have to pay for 90 days and then just a small payment every month. It turns out they were asking her questions and filling in on the PC. They asked her to sign in the box (like you do when you pay by credit or debit card). She thought she was signing for her car.

I left and went back to DC where I live. That next day we was supposed to leave for New Bern, NC for my visit with my parents to meet my new wife. The car engine light came on and kept stalling. So my wife said we'll get a ride from my nephew because he was ready to leave. We had to leave my car behind. We arrive back home on July 1, 2010. We drove the car back to VA still having the same problem. When we arrive and told the Firestone the car has worsen, they did another diagnostic and said that we needed Cam position sensor and remove and replace camshaft position work cost us $234.45 more money.

On 10/23/08, I took my 98 Saturn SL2 to Firestone to check my battery. I informed Service Advisor Eugene that my car would not start. I also explained that I had been informed on several occasions that it would be best to replace my battery, which I had installed on 09/23/06. I left my car at Firestone for several hours. I then received a call from Service Advisor Samuel, and he advised me he could not replace my battery under warranty because the battery was checking checking out good. I reminded Samuel that on several occasions, I had Firestone check out my battery, and on each occasion, I had been informed my battery was marginal and replacement was recommended. I told Samuel he could refer to the invoices and he said he had and showed no record.

This time the brakes were fine but the inner tie rod end and one ball joint were bad and wanted $550.00 to fix it this time. They left the car on the lift for her to look at it, Instead I looked at it and they still tried to show me why it was bad. The tie rod end, this part is good, he shook the wheel right and left so I could see movement in the rack, since the other side was moving with it at the same rate I told him that all he was showing me was the play in the steering wheel locking mechanism and the tie rods looked fine to me and felt fine as well. I made some comment about who was the mechanic here and we moved onto the lower ball joint. He began by shaking the wheel as much as he could so I could see all the play in the lower ball joint, not only could I not see it, but when I wrapped my hand tightly around it I could not feel it either.

The story doesn't end with me buying a used engine.I got the engine put in and went to the post office cAME OUT AND THE CAR WOULDN'T START.i CALLED A WRECKER TO TAK E it back to the garage where i got my motor put in but the tow truck driver said let him try a jump. I said i just brought the battery from Firestone the same day i got an oil change and evidently Firestone didn't prime the filter which if not done has led to engine failure in several cars. I couldn't believe firestone sold me a bad battery also. I can't go back and let them put me another one in . i can't trust them.

Rather, it is consistent with a pry bar that was be used to remove my tires from my rims, only that is supposed to be done from the inside of the wheel not the outside where the rim is. A curb could not damage my rim in the places they were damaged even if one ran directly into a curb. So Firestone, once again, is using deception to get out of their responsibility to do their job properly without causing damage to the customer's property.

At another time, I got my vehicle inspected and was told that the alternator has bad cracks in it and needs replacement. Funny thing is that about 1 month ago, I replaced all of the belts with Gates belts from NAPA. Since then I have had two auto mechanics (not Firestone) look at the belt. Both said no problems were found with any of the belts. I can only wonder how much they sucker those who know nothing about autos. I will no longer deal with any Firestone location and tell those I meet to follow the same.

Strike 2. I have a lifetime front-end alignment contract for my truck with Firestone. In March 2009, I went to this Firestone on a Sunday morning and waited 15 minutes for them to open at 8 AM. I got in after going to another Firestone (They were not to open until 9 AM.) and returned to the 50th & Indiana location where they were now open. On Wednesday, December 16, 2009, I called for an appointment at 7 AM for a front-end alignment and was confirmed. The doors were open at 7:30, and I was told the technician would be in at 8 AM and another customer was ahead of me. I cancelled the work.

I then told them that the rotor needs to be resurfaced and then if it is below limits then it should be replaced. He continued and then told me that if I only replace one rotor then the car will pull to one side during braking. This may be true while racing on the NASCAR circuit but not on a 2002 Dodge. I then explained to the technician that a slight difference in rotor thickness will not produce a noticeable effect in normal driving.

Well, here is my information, contrary to what Samuel had to say. 1) 09/03/08: (Inv. #**) Technician Samay ** tested my battery and on his printout, it stated that my battery may fail to start below 10 degrees F or under extreme heat conditions. It also stated I should consider replacing before exposure to extreme temperatures. 2) 06/12/08: Inv. #**, the Technician Jose ** also recommended and noted on invoice a Battery Replacement. Battery tested Marginal. 3)/09/23/06: Inv. #**, Firestone installed an MT25 Interstate Battery ED18.

Left for vacation on the next morning after having oil changed. Drove about 6 hours at high speed. Engine started knocking so I stopped and went to closest Walmart to have oil checked. Oil leaking out of filter and oil leaked in oil pan. Cost me $100 for a room for the night; $30 for new oil change and around $200 I would think for new oil pan (have to get an estimate). I want reimbursement for these. Plus who knows what other engine damage may have occurred. I have a written statement from technician that did the oil change and the oil leak and being over full.

On July 11th, I left our Jeep vis-a-vis the drop box overnight service for early morning service with a request to check the radiator as the fluid was leaking and overheating. Indicated that after a fancy machine check, the pressure was low in the radiator. When I called Monday morning, I reviewed the overheating issues and that we believed the radiator was leaking or were told the water pump might be the problem. I told them that I did not believe there was engine problem and that we had had the oil check for milky substance, which visually was looked at by three individual to confirm it was not.

I dropped my car off for a routine oil change and fuel system flush, about 1 1/2 hours later I recieved a phone call that my car was ready. When I returned to pick up my vehichle I was told that I needed 4 new tires and an alignment. I informed the technichian that I had just purchased 2 new tires and had an alignment a month and a half ago and there is no way that the tires were already bald. I caught him off guard so he said that he would go measure the tread on the tire again.

I was out of the country for a month and when I returned, my wife told me that she feels vibration in the steering wheel and awful humming noise when driving on the highway. On October 18, 2009, I took the car to the shop and told them about the problem. They offered to re-balance the wheels and that they just re-calibrated their balancing machines. Sure enough, the tires were out of balance. It took 3.5 oz. weight to balance the right tire and 3.75 oz. weight to balance the left tire. And when they had the tires on the balancing machine, they were wobbling, so I asked the Sunday manager, Matthew if he would replace the tires because the wobbling was causing the humming noise. He said he could not do that and his boss, Mike, would have to make that decision.

I was also told I needed to read all that I sign and the sales person told me it would cost me money to have it fixed and nothing was said. Because if that would have been the case, I would have taken it back to my car and went home and gave the business to a local garage and paid $10.00 and it would have been done correctly . When my wife went in to discuss this with the manager, he threatened to call the police on her. Then said he didn’t want to hear anything she had to say. She never raised her voice at him nor was she rude or violent towards him. His name was Jeff, we are assuming from the paperwork we have. I agree very much that this Firestone is very shady as well.

My car died on me on my way to work at a red light, and after work, I towed my car to the closest place which was Firestone. Well, after waiting 2 days, they called and said that my timing belt had slipped and that they fixed it but it had damaged my head on my motor. Well, the next night, we went to pick it up and they weren't finished and they told us to wait, that they would be done with it, that it was going to leave that night. After getting everything back together, they couldn't get it cranked up and it sort of backfired when they tried to crank it which anyone with any experience knows that sound comes from the timing being off. So they had the timing off and had my car running earlier in the day. If they had it running with the timing off... I see how my head wad damaged, because they ran it with the timing off by 2 notches.

My husband later got two tires from Discount tire for 1/2 the price. He bought a light bulb for 55 cents and replaced that. The wipers do not need to be replaced and the air filter was $8. No need to have brakes flushed either. They basically saw me coming and thought they could bleed me dry.

The problem continued. I took it to the Hood Chevrolet and they told me that Malibu is not that sophisticated a vehicle and that, there is no code to be stored (so Firestone apparently lied). Hood Chevrolet said the new sensor simply had to be calibrated (spelling?) which Hood said, that Firestone apparently did not do. The problem continued. I brought it back and they said they could not duplicate the problem. Well, the problem continued. I am bringing it back this afternoon once again. I've had the car looked at 4 times so far and yet the problem went on.

After asking the technician who worked on my car about it, that technician claimed he didn't work on my car even though I recognized him from the previous day and despite his name being listed on my receipt as the technician who worked on my car. A different man was called over who said he originally worked on my car but had to leave in the middle to go to the hospital because of a "spider bite". He did say he remembered identifying the damage to the wheels before he left though. Later in the conversation, he admitted he left before the wheels were removed from the car, making this impossible. After then asking the previous technician a second time if he worked on it, he admitted he did. He had originally lied to us, and the store manager.

I was told once the cable ends were cleaned off it was normal for that to happen. I said no and she said well your car won't run. I asked how would I get how? She replied they could jump me to drive it home. In between I went out and noticed before they told me I need a battery the mechanic (Miguel Velasquez) had a new battery sitting on the ground in front of my vehicle hooked up to the battery in my vehicle. Which I thought was strange. I went some wher else and had my battery checked and was told the cells were dead and a bad smell wad emmitting. I never had that smell. I was also told nothing was wrong with my cable ends.

We left and thought the car was fixed properly, we was going to drive my wife home in Martinsburg, WV on the 2nd of July but the car start stalling out so my wife and daughter in law picked us up that morning and we rode with her. We return from WV on July 7, 2010 and took our car back to Firestone, they again did another Quality Assurance inspection. They had to remove and replace crankshaft position sensor. The car was said ready when we got in the car it wouldn't start. Chris (shop mgr.) stated for us to leave the car for 2 days and Firestone paid for car rental.

I dropped my car off on 03/22/10 at 7:50 am for inspection & tire repair. When I went back at 5:00 pm to pick my car up, my car wasn't inspected or my tire was repaired. I took it back the next day and it took them about 1 hr 45 min to give my car back and it failed inspection for rotor and lower control arm. They wanted $1000 to fix it, and took it to the next door repair shop and got my inspection done. I think we shouldn't to business with Firestone at all. It's a rip off.

Now, today, I called to make appt for oil change & winter check which I do every year & have for as many years as I can remember. ** says he could give me an appt any day but it's first come first serve so he could not tell me how long it would take for me to get my car serviced. Evidently having an appt does not mean anything. They turn no one away, which is fine, but why would I make an appt and then have to wait a couple hours before my car can be serviced? I found in the past Firestone was my savior for car repairs, etc.

My vehicle 2006 Tacoma 2x4, per Firestone required three new tires which I allowed them to service and install. After this work was completed, the vehicle pulled left, and vibrated on the right side. I took it back to this Firestone three times with no resolution. I then took it to Columbia Firestone and they also denied that there was any issues with the vehicle. Cannot duplicate customer complaint, however the manager said, "Maybe you hit a curb"... I explained, "How can you state this and write on the ticket that you cannot duplicate customer complaint?" Note I proceed to take it to Goodyear in Timonium MD and paid ~$90 for a front end alignment where they said it was aligned. However they did notice it was pulling to the left and said they did not have time to fix or diagnose the vibration on right side. I then took it to Sears in Columbia where the mechanic stated that I have a bent rim. How can I get my rims replaced and money back on the front end alignment and diagnosis?

The conversation that took place after that was so unreal, that I thought that I was being pranked or something. This man called me stupid. He told me that I was a racist because my eye was twitching. He said that I looked like wanted to call him Honkie. This man must be crazy. He said that there was nothing that a complaint to Firestone could do because he was the owner and the Firestone Corp. could not do anything to him. He also told me to get off of his property and find something better to do. I was totally outdone. I couldn't and still can't believe it. This letter is my first step in getting some resolution. I would like to speak with someone from your corporate office as well as having a one on one meeting with this individual, who claims that his name was Halverson. I think his behavior really needs to be addressed. This is something that had no reason to happen. It was totally uncalled for and I am very upset.

I Took my 1993 Izuzu Rodeo on Sunday February 19, 2006. They said they knew what was wrong with it and would fix it for $325 by Wednesday Febuary 22, 2006. Then they didn't do anything to my SUV. They said they could not find what was wrong with it and that they couldn't fix it. They took my SUV to a dealer so that they could find out what was wront with it but they have not found out what was wrong with it.

This basically starts out with untruth as Firestone did not put the radiator hose after it blew off of my car, nor did they fill it with anti freeze. The car started stalling out and the hot light came on at about 79th and SE Foster so I drove around on to Harold Street where it died. I left it to cool down for several hours and when I went back to see what was wrong, the lower radiator hose was completely off and no water was left in the system. That is when I myself put the hose back on the car and bought antifreeze for it. Firestone only changed the oil after the incident and assured me everything was fine as when I called Firestone. Bryan said he knew nothing of this problem on these cars but would give me a free oil change and check it all out. This would cover the cost the anti freeze $15, although Firestone was responsible for putting new hoses on the car and one blew off which started the problem.

I took the car to Firestone for engine cut out/limping. They charged me for $525 for spark plugs, wires and injector service. They said all has to be done to fix the problem. I drove the car from Texas to Kansas with the same limping engine. I was told to stop by Firestone in Kansas City/Overland Park to check it out. Firestone Overland Park confirmed that the engine cut out is there, but don't know what to do.

So what if I was involved into an accident for their flat tire? Those corporate **, they know it's not worth asking for a lawyer to solve it, so they ignore customer's perspective whenever they can. I will never go to Firestone again, period.

I took my 2002 Subaru Forester in to have the rear passenger side wheel bearings replaced. They immediately charged me $20.00 just to look at it. Then they called and said both needed to be replaced and that it would be $883.00. I said I needed to pick up the car but I would bring it back in the morning for the service. When I picked it up, the service rep. said there would also be $129.00 charge for realignment. The price seemed so great that it bothered me and I thought about it all evening. In the morning, I called the closest Subaru dealer and asked if a realignment was necessary after wheel bearing replacement. They told me "no".

We had our front and rear brakes replaced by Firestone, and were reassured that our Wheelchair Adapted Van was safe to drive on a long trip. We left that same afternoon. Less than 24 hours later, driving 70 MPH on a four lane highway, our left rear wheel came off.

However, when I took it to him, he called me within an hour and told me he found no evidence the intake had ever leaked, and he couldn't get it to leak under pressure. There was nothing wrong with my car. I asked him to do a system flush to clean out the Dex-Cool and replace it with green antifreeze... and went home with $1,200 I would not have had if I'd had Firestone do the unneeded repair.

I took my father's car up to get a nail out of the passengers side rear tire at 3:22 PM. About 20 minutes went by, the car was lifted up and all the employees got something to eat. 10 minutes later, the manager came out and asked me about the tire and I told him again there is a blue nail in the tire. They check again found it and then went back to eating. About another 5-10 minutes, another gentleman came into the store with a bad tire. They took it in the back at that time they finished eating and a lady came in to get something done to her car and with in 15 minutes, the gentleman tire is fixed and he's gone and the lady car is up in the air and 5 minutes later after an hour waiting and $29.40 to get a flat fixed. Never again, I'm done.

So I recently took it back about a month ago. They said they couldn't align it because of some very worn parts. They were right on that. The car needed work first. They quoted a little over $1,000 to fix that. So we took the car and got the exact same work done for about $400 at a different shop. We then took the car back for our "free" alignment and were now told they couldn't do the work because of "blah, blah, blah, blah". So apparently my car went all to h*** after they gladly aligned my car and took my money in 2008.

I brought the car in with check engine light on. We had no problems and the mileage was 41K on this 2002 Spider Eclipse. Without asking us anything about conditions, etc, the guy behind the counter said, "Don't worry, it probably is a simple problem like a defective oxygen sensor." They said they would need to run a diagnostic test for $109 to see what the codes were. We left it and they called us the next day to say yes, the machine said it was the O2 Sensor, along with needing a new battery. They replaced the O2 sensor and gave us the part, and charged nearly $500 for the all the repairs including diagnostic test. I drove the car home 2 miles. The next day, I went around the corner when the car started to make a really loud noise. I turned it off and back on, and the noise was gone.

My car stalled twice so I took it in to have it checked and they supposedly corrected the situation, but there was still a hesitation now and then when I accelerated after slowing down. The next day my battery was dead and I had to have it picked up and taken back to Ted Weins. A new battery was installed and paid for and that too was dead the next day and only sitting in the garage. Three batteries in about 2-1/2 months. They asked to keep the car to find out why the batteries were going dead to which I agreed. I received a call that they had to put in a new transmission. Then another call that they found a leak that had to be repaired. Another call for something else.

The next day, I was told the noise was coming from the belt tensioner, so I said replace it. It was approximately $190. Then I paid to pick up the car. They promised I was all set. When I got in the car, there was a low noise, not very loud but consistent with the previous noise I complained about. I took it back the next morning and had the tech go for a drive with me, and the noise briefly went away. Then, while he was troubleshooting at the garage, the noise came back loud as ever. So he then said the problem was the fan belt. It cost another $100.38.

Regardless, they did all this work only to tell me...that I had a blown head gasket. My car is showing 251,000 miles, but I have had a rebuilt trans and motor in the car. The motor was replaced at 190000. I just feel like they took advantage of me for almost $900, and now I'm faced with having to get another commuting car. I'm out of serious cash, and still no reliable wheels to get me to work. I commute 190 miles a day. This has been very stressful.

Instead, it was for a Firestone Credit card that she was not aware she was applying for. They did not give her any paperwork except for the work they did, not even the credit terms. My sister read that up when she went to complain. Interest is 22%. My mom does not have the means to pay this bill. We will file a complaint with the corporate office and then with the Attorney General's office to investigate the practice of tricking 83-year-old ladies into signing up for a credit card. My mom paid a down payment of $350. Her car, a 1997 Toyota Corolla, isn't even worth $2,000.

I was so disgusted that Firestone outright lied to me that it made me mistrust everything they said and I decided not to get the service done at all. I took it to another tire place in town, they replaced the wheel bearings and put on new front brakes for $500.00. Firestone lies, cheats and overcharges. I will never use them for any service.

7-30-2010 was the first day I brought my truck and Mr. Jim quoted me a price of $118. I told him I just was in your store last year and had the same thing done to my truck for $56. He stated that $118 was a good price for mount and balance. I told Mr.Jim that it should be in the computer. At this time, he found my name in the computer and said the price was $56. He could not work on my tires for that price that I would have to wait for Todd. I left my truck and called back to the store. Todd said he can do wheels and tires. They could not get the tires broke down off the wheel. The tire tech was off and the new guy didn't know how to break the tires down. Todd was very nice and I was told to bring my truck back tomorrow. The tire tech would be in when I bring my truck back.

When I walked in it didn't look promising since they were slammed. the Manager saw me walk in and headed right for me. Ryan asked what he could do for me and I let him know that I was overheating and coolant was coming out and if there was anything he could do. To my suprise he said yes, he said he would personally look at it for me since his techs were busy. He pulled my truck around and about 20 min later a parts truck pulled up with a hose and walked right by me. Ryan came out let me know that my upper hose had failed and for 90 bucks he could fix it and have me back on the road in no time. ( I couldn't freaking believe it ) It was past 7 no one was left in the shop but my family and Ryan was still working on my truck.

Went to pick it up Wednesday and no Melvin to assure me that my car was alright and they gave me a outdated receipt, come to find out the transaction, labor and repair of my car is no longer in the system. They have it as a receipt for work that needs to be done to the car. I also have a note from Melvin when I took off work that my car was not safe to drive. and the motor was knocking it was runnning hot. I told them that I was not at all satisfied but this is my only transportation to work.

The point is, Firestone Service Center charged me for a tune-up, removed and replaced the plugs for $51.60, removed and replaced the spark plug wire set for $77.40, tailored res wires for $55.46, performed electrical system test labor for $25.99, and performed ever-wear fuel system tune-up for $59.99. THIS CAR IS ONLY A 4-CYLINDER. And here is a charge for shop supplies: $10.20. Why do I pay for their shop supplies? TOTAL PARTS = $98.12, TOTAL LABOR = $169.98... A towing service and AutoZone checked my battery and said it was no good. Only Firestone said it was good...

Michael also attempted to harass me, by insisting that I had bags under my eyes, and that they were from crying about the situation the night before. I insisted that I did not have bags under my eyes, and that I had not once cried about the situation, not at any time before the shop visit, and not at any time during the visit. He proceeded to bring up the bags under my eyes and me crying about the situation the night before, in front of other customers! Both Jason and Michael provide fraudulant work, and Michael used harassment to try to get me to back down from the situation! I have reported both stores to the BBB, I have called the customer service number on the Firestone website, and have even called the district offices in Oklahoma and Texas, and have gotten no resolution to my situation!

I know people have to eat. I never been in any shop where everybody takes lunch dinner or whatever at the same time and get other people done before you when your there a half hour before them. If I knew how much it would have cost and how long it would have taken, I would of plugged it myself. I am very displeased with that center and it's not the first time. I just never wrote anything down before. You don't have look for me writing anything again. I will never go there again.

I went to Firestone to get an oil change. As usual, I was called back to the service bay to see something that needed to be fixed. I was told the intake (gasket?) was starting to leak. It needed to fixed soon so that Dex-Cool would not leak into the oil and ruin the engine. They printed out an itemized list of service required, along with the cost of each repair. Their estimate came to nearly $1,300. My brothers together have about 40 years experience working in auto parts, and recommended an honest mechanic. He said he would do the job for less than half the estimate from Firestone.

I have been a customer at this Firestone branch for about 6 years. I did not take my vehicle(s) to any other mechanic(s). I took my 2004 Ford Explorer in for routine recommended maintenance for the brakes and to replace 2 of the tires. When I picked my truck back up, it drove so rough that I didn't feel safe.

So, I drop of my car and got a phone call in about an hour. They find several faults in my car and give me a total of $500+ for it all to be fixed and passed. They tell me that my car needs a wheel alignment (tie-rod) and without that the car will NOT pass the state inspection. I was also told that I should not drive this car long distance since the tie-rod/alignment is way off. (Now don't forget that I drove this vehicle just the day before from another state to the state of New York and that was a drive of 7 hours and 40 minutes without any problems).

I would like to express my frustration with the customer service provided by the Firestone Store # 011630 in Port Orange, FL. I have been a customer in this location for over 3 years. Many times I have been provided with different repair services and was always under direct pressure by the employees, assuring me of the necessity of action. Just recently, I ordered 4 tires from this store and by installation, was prompted to do alignment. I postponed and after I proceeded at another repair shop with replacement of the front left axle and assurance that the right one is okay, a week later I brought the car back to Store # 011630 in Port Orange, FL for the alignment.

I am shocked that it was quite visible the water pump was leaking, yet Firestone never inspected it but went right to the largest billing they could find, misrepresented the whole situation, and in addition, supplied me with a fraudulent report of what was quite visibly a non-cracked or non-warped part. Perfectly fine. I ended up spending $300 for 3 hours that were quite unnecessary, $100 to replace a part that was broken in the process of removing the head, and $45 to have the car towed, plus the coolant, the incredible mental frustrations, the gasket kit $167 plus the new bolts $39 (from Autozone) only to find out that it was just a $200 job for the water pump or at worst a $265 job at the $100 per hour rate Firestone charges. This is not to mention the fact that when I arrived to pay, they were charging me for radiator fluid, spark plugs, and oil change then never even did (but which was on the list to do). Btw, I have photos, reports and personal attestation from the service manager of a very large corporate conglomerate.

He then informed me that the particular tire that I needed was not available here nor in the store in Little Rock, AR. I was then informed that he had another tire that was available to me, but was about $10.00 higher in price that the online quote gave me. I informed him that that was okay and that I wanted to purchase only the tires for the truck and have them put on. I was then informed that he only had three tires in stock and that he could have the 4th tire here sometime that day. I agreed to have them call me at my home when the tire was available. The call came around 10 am that same day and my husband took the truck back down to the service center and was there to have the tires placed on the truck.

He wrote up the work order which included two new rotors for the rear. I questioned him why he would be replacing them when they have not yet been removed and checked. He said that just by looking he could tell that the right rear needed replacement and the left rear would probably be bad too. I asked him how he could make this decision without first inspecting. After challenging him and telling him that I am not going to just replace parts, he wrote up the work order to just check the rotors and then advise me as to the results.

I didn't understand but agreed to have the other 3 tires replaced anyway. I visited the shop that evening to pick up my car and was shown the damage. I immediately got suspicious because the damage looked as though it was done with a tool and was obviously fresh. I was then shown how the other rear wheel was damaged in the same way, but not quite as extensively. I asked why the damage looked fresh when the rest of the wheel was covered with brake dust and dirt. They had no answer other than the damage must be fresh. I explained I knew this couldn't have been while I was driving it because when the tires started losing air, I checked them and there was no damage to the wheels. I asked why I was told originally it was nails and the story then changed. They then called over the technician to find that out.

His next line of reasoning was to show me that the tire "puller", or whatever the appropriate name of the piece of equipment was, wouldn't cause that type of damage. As he put it, "It doesn't even touch the rim. No tool touches the rim, so it would be impossible." Trying to get to an answer more than anything, I entertained this demonstration. The same technician from earlier grabbed a tire off the floor and proceeded to demonstrate. The first thing that occurred was a large brace was locked against the tire and rim. I pointed out that equipment was already against the rim and was using force. He quickly amended his previous statement, explaining that piece of equipment was plastic and could not harm the wheel. I asked for him to show me it was plastic, and he refused for safety concerns.

I tried to start my car this morning and it won’t start. I just paid for Firestone to fix my starter and oil and filter change a few weeks ago. When I had taken my car to be fixed they removed my battery and replaced it with a new battery without my authorization. This is a battery that AAA had verified was good before they towed it to Firestone. When I got to the counter to pay he told me my total was $700.00. I questioned him and finally made him give me a break down of the bill. They had included a new battery that I never asked for. They were also charging me for a tire alignment policy and I will get to that later. Regarding the battery I told him that it was a good battery and that I never asked for a new one. They started blaming each other saying the next guy didn’t know what the other guy was doing. They finally went to the repair floor. They came back and said that they tested my old battery and it was good and that they put it back into my car. Today, when I lifted my hood to check the battery for corrosion I notice that they give me the wrong battery. My battery was black this battery has a red top.

Needless to say, they said it was no fault of theirs and that they would have it ready the next day. Well, the total was 2400 dollars and now it's back up there from the RPMs dropping real low and jumping up and down. They just called now saying they can't duplicate what it was doing so I could just come pick it up. On top of that, my crankshaft pulley is shaking back and forth and I mentioned that to the guy (Allen) when I dropped it off 2 days ago. Yeah, it took 2 days for them to just look at my car and say they couldn't duplicate the RPMs going up and down, which I told them only happens once it gets warmed up. I will never ever take my car to any Firestone ever again and I advise everyone reading this to do the same unless you want shady service and inexperienced dumbos to work on your car/truck.

Now the girl working the front counter is there to try to help, she says and I quote, "Sometimes you cant see movement when its in the air, we found it when it was sitting on the ground". Any mechanics out there thinking what I thought? How can you shake a wheel and see movement on the ball joint while there is about 1500 lbs sitting on it. I would think that if it were true, I would definitely feel movement in the air. Bottom line I feel that they prey on people who don't know any better and that is how they keep in business. I will not be returning to that or any other Firestone car care center in this lifetime or the next! The first charge of $850 was taken care of with a $29 set of pads that wasn't needed yet. The second will be taken care of for the cost of a different station to perform the inspection.

I had to take my car in twice to Firestone for minor work such as a belt replacement and fuel pump replacement, the second time around. The manager is extremely quiet, does not communicate with the customers and moves extremely slowly with everything. The first time I waited four hours for the belt to be replaced, and the manager never intended to update me on the status until I was tired of waiting and stepped up to the desk. He is not friendly, never smiles or goes out of his way to help a customer. I feel frustrated every time I see him and his non-caring attitude. I will not be returning to that place. The second time after two hours, they told me they can't help me and charged for a fuel filter replacement that did not even fix the problem.

My husband took our car to get looked at they told us we will need upper and lower ball joints on our car we got the upper joints done and we was going to come back and get the lower done next week after they had fixed the upper it started making noises we took it back up there they told us it was the tire we got a new tire it still was making the noise so we took it back and they said we just needed to get the lower joints done so we left

They never even responded to the BBB about my complaint in the first place. I also have a call into my attorney to find out if I can recoup my $3,000. My car has never run the same since then and I had to take it to a Ford dealer and back to Firestone 3 times, after they replaced the engine to fix and oil leak and brake fluid leak. My brake fluid is still leaking, they could not find a leak. If they cannot find one and they were supposed to be experts, then why do I have to add brake fluid every 2 or 3 days? I will never take my car there again and I tell everyone my story so this does not happen to them.

I called Scott to inform and inquire about what my next steps should be. He said he did nothing wrong, and I stated that my car was making noise only after the oil change, and he said "how would I know that (meaning Scott)" and I restated to him about how he told me if the engine was making noise that they would not have changed the oil and would have called me if there was an issue, so that is how he would know that it was not making noise before the oil change. He then implied I was lying and I then called Consumer Affairs and have been dealing with a claims adjuster. Still no answers and I need my car to be safe as I am in outside sales.

The customer service at this location is terrible. The lobby was full of people coming in to pick up their cars. All the guys were out working but one manager (I guess) was sitting in the office on the internet ignoring all of the traffic. The entire time I was there, one of the employees was constantly on his cell phone trying to work. One customer had to ask him to get off the phone so she could explain to him what her car was doing. I have been a customer of Firestone for sometime (in Houston, Texas) and I never had to wait this long behind nonsense. After all of this, the manager never came out and apologized or offered me a discount or nothing. This is ridiculous.

On March 27th, I went to have a state inspection and emissions done on my '94 Ford Ranger. I was informed that the state inspection had failed due to a 3rd brake light blown out and a passenger side lower ball joint needing to be replaced. Also, the rear view mirror needed to be reinstalled. My husband had done all of the required work being a state inspection mechanic for many years. I was told that when the work was completed, I could come back up and get my state inspection sticker put on. Now, I am being told that I have to make an appointment and the inspection has to be redone all over again.

I visited this Firestone service location in July 2010 for the purposes of getting various mechanical items checked and evaluated for safety. I went in and told them to evaluate mechanical/metallic noise in steering (steering wheel had play in it and I could hear a light metallic knock if it’s turned all the way right or left). I also asked to check the tires (of which I knew the fronts were spent). I dropped-off vehicle (2003 Dodge Durango) and got a lift to work. I received call from Firestone, saying I need $1400.00 in repairs (including ball joints, muffler and the two front tires). I also was told I needed $20.00 in light bulb replacements (license plate and third brake light bulbs). They also told me I needed a muffler, which was damn near $400 installed. I told them to simply mount my two new tires ($280) and park the truck outside. Nothing more. I was in a hurry when I paid my bill and left mad. Later, I noticed they tacked on a $19.99 courtesy inspection fee, which was not the PA State Vehicle Inspection and something I was not made aware of or offered up front when I dropped the vehicle off.

So I did, but on my way to the shop the light came back on and I was told now they are getting different error codes and now and it could be as much as 600 or 700 dollars to replace a number of different parts that may be replaced by warranty from the dealer. I was given a list of possible problems it could be and wished good luck by the manager and out the door I went - $308.00 dollars for a set of wiper blades and a gas cap and $200.00 labor charge. They did not do anything and yes, NO inspection. My truck is now at the dealer where I should of brought it in the first place and I feel like I have been robbed. Thanks

I took my car in for tires on 8/12/08 and I was informed I needed a fuel system tune up. The problem is that I just had one done on 8/2/08 I wondering was the car services done on 8/2/08 as stated on my receipt The same technician David serviced the car on both dates.

They made the mistake for not being clear and they need to refund $100.00 because they misrepresented themselves and intentionally presented the quote to the consumer who would not truly know the actual amount until it was too late. There should be a consumer protection legislation against this type of practice and since the amount was clearly and craftily misrepresented, he should be refunded the $100 he felt he was overcharged because he was told that the total was going to be $160.00.

I went in to get an oil change and state inspection. My car is a two year old Chevy Impala. After awhile Laron called me up to show me a laundry list of things that needed to be taken care of before it could pass inspection. Windshield wipers streaking, air filter dirty, light bulb out on back license plate, brakes need flushing, two front tires out of tread. The bill was over $650.

As time went on it became a noticeable clicking noise and started a scraping noice upon braking or turning right. On 10/28/07 took it back to Firestone and they aligned and inspected brakes for noise & vibrations in right front. They "dusted" brake pads and wanted to do resurfacing of brake rotors. I looked at the rotors and did NOT see need for resurfacing. More

I brought my truck in for leaking coolant. Firestone charged me around $550 to replace the water pump, which also included a charge of $79 to flush the system. They informed me that the coolant I used was GM and this needed to be flushed out. When I got the vehicle back, I noticed the overfill tank had orange coolant in it, so I talked to the mechanic who worked on it and was told not to worry about it, and that they do not flush the overfill tank. Funny, since I emptied 4 times by removing 2 screws (5 minutes at best), the overfill tank still contained orange coolant. So I took it back in as the service desk representative recommended. I was told that due to the age of my truck that it was rust and it would take 5 or more flushes, and even then may not get everything out. I bought 2 gallons of Prestone green fluid and a flush kit and did it myself. I flushed it for 15 minutes and a lot of orange coolant came out. Once flushed, I drove the truck for a week and there is no sign of either rust or orange coolant. So the bottom line is I'm out $80 for the flush and $30 for the new coolant and flush kit.

I realized that he was trying to avoid me since he was not getting any money because I have taken a lifetime wheel alignment package. So I just got out of the store and since I have to do it, and went to a different store, paid money and got it done. But I really felt bad because I usually recommend my friends and family to Firestone and this was how they treated me. I wasted my time by taking off from work and driving to them for nothing. Firestone really needs to educate their illiterate store managers to keep up their reputation.

Then I said they needed to replace the damaged lugs. After an hour of waiting, no lugs were found. Then they proceeded to take the lugs off of my spare tire and put them in place of the lugs which they had damaged beyond use. They replaced the lugs on the spare with a washer and wrong size standard lug which they had in house and told me that they would order new lugs to replace the damaged ones. I called several times after I had left to get in contact with the manager whom claimed he would remedy this issue. He was not in or could not come to the phone. When I finally got a hold of him, he had only ordered two lugs and said that was all they had damaged. I said that was untrue and he suggested I come to the location to talk to him in person because he was too busy to be on the phone!

my life was in danger and my family life we was riding on a job done by professional mechanics that didnt do there job we could have been killed or seriously hurt

I suggested that the two over-inflated tires on the one side were the result of a careless mechanic. Naturally, he would not hear that. There was no apology because then he would obviously be agreeing that inferior quality workmanship left his store. So, I received no satisfaction whatsoever from our conversation. I admit that this made me quite angry. But who wouldn't be angry after this? Within the month, I received a call from a Firestone regional manager and we reviewed my case (case no. **).

My husband took my Buick to the store for new tires and a front end alignment. The people at the store tried to charge a different rate than the one they quoted him on the phone and when he went back to get my car, he found a grease mess on the front seat. He told the manager about it and the manager argued with him about it saying that no one had sat in that seat. My husband got out of the hospital about a week ago with a bleeding ulcer and should not have been that upset.

I took my car back to this store and told them I wanted the grease cleaned off the seat. The manager came out and looked at it. He also told me no one had sat in that seat. I told him that I agreed, no one had set in it. But someone did lie something on it, you could see the outline of the object. He did clean it, but my problem is the very poor customer service we received and the fact that I had to go back in after work and have the same discussion my husband had in order to get something done. We have used Firestone tires since we moved to Monroe, MI over 30 years ago but unfortunately this is the last time. By the way, it took him all of 3 sec. to clean the mess up and you lost a lifetime customer because of it.

I sent a complaint to Firestone corporate. Firestone corporate dare to say that I'm a liar. I gave up on Firestone and took the car to the dealer. The dealer confirmed that the spark plugs that were put in was bad. The Chrysler dealer was nice enough to call Firestone to ask for reparation and was rejected. Firestone did a lousy job and didn't want to be responsible for the mistake they made.

On June 7, a Saturday, three weeks after we had the car serviced at Firestone, at approximately 9 p.m. my husband went to move the car from the driveway and park it in the garage as we were leaving for a three-week trip the following morning, at 7:30 a.m. When he turned on the car and put it on Reverse, the car wouldnt move and exploded! He opened the hood and much to his surprise there was a hole in the engine. He and our son in law, who was going to stay in our house while we were away, looked around under the hood for a while, and at that point noticed there was almost no oil in the engine!

Within a few days, the transmission broke down on the highway. I called my insurance company and asked for a referral to reputable mechanic. This small business they recommended replaced the transmission. A few days later, that transmission went out again! But this small business was "on vacation," so it's closed for 2 weeks!

I recived a call from Firestone after sending them a letter stating the reasons why I was disputing the charges on my credit card, also I want to stop the harrassing calles all day and night to my home which caused me undo stress, explained to her the letter she claims she recived stated this, Then the caller from Firestone started saying what they were going to do to me and then hung up in my face. this was at 8 pm on 7/1/2008.

I took my car to firestone for a tune up. They told me that I had a minor oil leak. Melvin said that if I continue to put oil in it it will be fine. I decided a week later to get it fixed. The job was $1,100.00 dollars.

I don’t expect anything of Firestone nor do I expect I will ever do business with them again even though I’ve paid for a lifetime wheel alignment and 70,000 mile tires for this car. I took my 2003 Buick LeSabre there right after purchasing it in December as the right rear tire was leaking, they quoted me $8 to fix. I left the car for the better part of the day and when I got off work and picked it up, they still hadn’t fixed it so I took it to Discount Tires where they must want my business as they didn’t charge me anything to fix it. That is what I call customer satisfaction. As matter of fact, I have Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome and who knows what I may do if this is not resolved in a fair manner, besides the fact that this happened on the day of my partner’s funeral. Matter of fact, his parents have a 2000 Buick with the same engine and 100,000+ miles on it. Do you think these problems have ever occurred on their car? NO. Thank you very much. This will go a long way for their advertisement on the internet when I diss them! Speaking of the internet, I think this exact letter would be a great start on how they treat their customers.

New radiator [cost at best public price with out labor or delivery = $256.00] also the resevoir box is another $25.00 from a used source. Total amounts to approx $300.00 plus labor.

My truck had no pressure in the brake line..therefore i decided to take it to firestone. My initial statemaant from them was I needed to clean and bleed my brakes..and I agreed to that which was 74.99. The next day firestone calls and said they wasnt able to bleed my brakes and I needed a proprotor valve and an abs valve which will total 642.00. Which that would solve my problem and i will be able to pick up my truck when finish. I told them I didnt really have the money so i called my mom and she told me to go ahead and get it fixed she will put up the difference..

we finally agreed that I will be responsible for only one more broken bolt which is $40.00.When Ivonne got back after the estimated time of one hour the car was not ready, she had to wait a total of 3 hours and the only thing Jose Explained is that is not his problem. They never showed me the broken bolts, but they did charged us for it. I believe that Firestone in this location have a very poor and unprofesional customer service. They Do not have clarity and integrity with their clients. I would never go back.

Before I left the store earlier, Melvin gave me a quote of $637.00 for the tires and the complete job. To make a long story short, when my husband arrived back home, the total for the bill was nearly $800.00. There had been an unauthorized charges placed on my card for services I did not request. This is not the first incident that I have had with Firestone about this type of thing. I feel that if they think that the customer does not know anything about the services that are needed for their car, I feel that they take advantage of them. I had $30.00 charge on my bill that was for someone checking out the coolant system on the truck and all I wanted were new tires. I truly believe that these young men are using ways to fraud the consumer and I believe that they should be investigated and checked out.

I took my car in to Firestone for alignment service in March 2010. I had the tie rods replaced from my main mechanic a few weeks prior to this. My main mechanic does not have the equipment to do an alignment which is why he referred me to Firestone. I have a customer invoice that states Firestone did an alignment on my car and charged me $79.94. I drove away from Firestone that day, the steering was a lot less tight than before, but it still seemed not right. I ignored it for months thinking that it must be okay. I had it fixed and the tightness of the steering wheel was very slight. So I didn't think it was a big deal.

Even though I had purchased an agreement through them for a lifetime automobile alignment with them and had called them in advance, they refused to align my car at the time I arrived at their store. I felt I had since I had purchased said agreement and arrived at a reasonable time to allow them to do the work I needed they refused to do the work I had already paid for. This was not the only time I have had trouble with this dealer.

On 8/31/08 my mother-in-law called me because her car was overheating in Kansas City, Kansas. We decided to take it to firestone. When we arrived only Wayne was at the desk. HE was very polite and professional. I didnt like what he had to tell me because he told me that only his service manager(who was off duty) could give me an estimate for the repair. But we were nearing the end of our conversation without any aggression by either of us.

In all I spent $1414.40 the 1st time and $2845.62 the 2nd time. (I have all statements to verify charges and what was done.) I asked if the battery was checked and they said they could not find anything wrong and assumed it would be OK now that they did so much other work on it. They also said they did a test drive and there was no 'jerking' and the car was in tip top condition. When I drove the car the next day I noticed it wasn't running right, it was still wanting to stall. So I took the car to Cadillac. In two days they found the reason for the batteries losing their power. Also, they did one test drive and recognized the reason for the car losing power momentarily and jerking. They told me that Ted Weins put parts in the car that were not Cadillac parts which could, or could not, give trouble. This is a '94 Cadillac Seville with only 34,400 miles on it. Several people have said it surely didn't need a new transmission nor some of the other work done on it.

Our pay was cut by 5% two years ago and we have not had any raises in the meantime. But I still wouldn't pay them to do something that I paid another Firestone location to do. Talk about a bunch of money hungry, money grubbing people. I will not set foot in another Firestone and I am telling everyone I know what kind of greedy people work there. I refuse to pay for something that I have already paid for and I urge everyone to stop going to Firestone for anything!

My wife said if she would have known this is where I was going to buy my tires, she wouldn't have let me because over 25 years ago her father had had problems with this same place. They DO NOT DISCLOSE EVERYTHING THEY SHOULD ABOUT THEIR WARRANTIES. THEY LEAD YOU TO BELIEVE YOUR TIRES ARE COVERED! Hopefully all who have had problems will be reimbursed for all problems. All who live in the bi-state area in MO/IL beware.

On August 9, 2009, my wife was told she needed two new tires on her Toyota Camry. She asked if they have the same Bridgestone tires in stock. She was told they have many in stock. On August 10, 2009, I took the car to the center to change the tires. They brought out two tires, one new and the other one looked used. It had rocks between the threads and dust all over it. When I told them I do not want a used tire, they said it was just like new. It was put on a car for a short time and was returned. I asked them to please bring out a new tire. They looked in the store room to find one and came back and told me they don't have any more in stock. I then asked them what do they have in stock. They came back with two Firestone tires and put them on the vehicle.

On 12/10/2007 I drove the car to Dallas Dodge and I almost did not make it there with the car knocking and smoking. I called Firestone, and they filed a claim and sent out their own inspector to say that it was smudge; they cleaned up the oil to show that no oil was leaking. They ruled that it was not their fault. I had my oil serviced at Dallas Jeep before getting the oil changed at Firestone and nothing was noted about smudge. Dallas Dodge states it was the lack of oil, and in no way did the smudge cause no oil to be in car. I need help to sue Firestone; the fault is with Firestone. My engine is burned and ruined.

I have been concerned about this for a long time. So much, that now that I'm driving the truck more that I bought a rebuild kit for it. Doing the brakes myself cost $400.00. I can't imagine what Firestone would have charged!

Yesterday, Tuesday, 7/8, my husband called Juan (Firestone) several times, and after several attempts, he finally got him. Juan indicated that as far as he was concerned they were finished with the investigation and that he was awaiting a report from the dealers and the adjustor. He also indicated that their initial report stated that "the car had been driven approximately 800 miles between the time of the oil change, and the time when it exploded" and that "if the car had no oil, it should have exploded earlier than the 800 miles."

During my coolant repair, a few years ago, they also caused my cars digital clock to short out. It comes and goes. I had also reported this problem which was supposedly noted. I did mention it during the starter repair and still nothing has been done to fix it. My coolant system still has not been fixed, despite paying $900 for the repair. They told me when I went to fix the starter that another part of the coolant system that they didn’t repair the first time needed to be fixed. When I had the coolant system fixed they had told me the entire thing was replaced. The oil change was never done. A few days ago my car started grinding when I turn the wheel. The noise got worst and worst. Last night I stopped at a convenience gas station and looked at the steering fluid. It was empty. I purchased a bottle and poured almost the whole thing in.

Beacuse I don't pay for the services does not mean they can do whatever they want, I lost time at work beacuse I had to wait until they finished they are abusives and very rude, very unprofesional way to conduct business, they did not call me because they knew I was going to say no.

I live in Cheney Washington and for all my life I have used Les schwab, but when my family and I were on vacation 2 weeks ago we were stranded in Redmond Washington at 6pm and the schwab was closed. Across the street was a Firestone and the sign said open. I was in a bind and had no choice so we went over.

In the 1960s, the Soviet Union's Tupolev design bureau had its own design for an experimental nuclear-powered aircraft, the Tu-119, which was to be a Tu-95 bomber with two of its conventional turboprops replaced by nuclear-powered turboprops. It was never built. Tupolev did build a nuclear reactor carrying counterpart to the NB-36H, the Tupolev Tu-95LAL.[9]

At Firestone I asked to have a simple tire balance and rotation performed or so I thought. After the work was done and driving out of the parking lot my car pulled severely to the left, and as soon as I got on the freeway I noticed that a severe shaking happened at 40-50 mph and to top it off when I pulled off the highway to check out what might be wrong...my brakes caused my steering wheel to shake even more violently. How can this happen from a tire balance and rotation??? This was the question I asked when I called Firestone to ask why my car was acting this way? They replied that the guy that wrote up the job was gone for lunch and that I should ask him when he got back which should be two to three hours. Because I had an appointment downtown I explained that I could not wait that long and asked if my car was safe to drive and he said, "I don't know lady...call your husband or boyfriend and ask them."

Today (the next morning), they are now telling me that I need to take it to a specialist because they don't do that kind of work. Apparently, they were okay with working on it back in September, but now they won’t touch it. In fact they went on to say they are not accepting responsibility for the liability. I've never seen all that was affected, but the fire ruined a rear view camera and a 'parrot' Bluetooth accessory mounted to the dash. Firestone couldn't fix it so they approved a replacement from Pacific Stereo who put it in originally.

I drove in to have my battery cables cleaned. They took my car right in. After being there a while (longer than I should) I was told I needed cable ends because mine would not tighten up. I finally said ok and was told it would cost $33.00.I finally said OK. Alittle while later she returned and told me I needed anew battery mine was no good and my car would not start without one. I asked how was that I had no problem with my battery I drove it there.

I do not consider the van as safe for my children. It will cost me a considerable amount of money to take it somewhere else. I dont have anymore to give. The vehicle is dropped in value. The overdrive doesnt work any longer either

Don't use. They are crooks. I only use them for oil changes and tire rotation because I purchased tires there and it is part of the warranty. They cannot be trusted for anything else. Four times they have tried to sell my wife and I brakes, gas filters, serpentine belts, etc. that were not needed. I put brakes on her car, went to the center the next week and was told it needed brakes. I went back again at the next oil change and was told the same thing. Next oil change, they tried it again. On Wednesday, I put brakes and a gas filter on my Expedition and had it checked out by my local auto garage.

Question 2: "You failed it because the brake fluid was dark? "Answer; "Yes, that is very dangerous, when it gets burned like that it makes the fluid very acidic and it will eat though all the parts it touches and the brakes will blow and at not work at all" (I wonder how many people that scare tactic has worked on).

I had a diagnostic ran on the AC in my Ford at another place. Since this Firestone is so close to work, I asked them how much they would charge me to recharge my AC. I was informed that it didn't make any difference that I had paid another store to run the diagnostic and they would rerun the diagnostics for $40.00 then tell me what was wrong. I am not made of money but Firestone sure acts like every one out here have money to burn.

A few months ago I took my truck in their store to be inspected and they gave me an estimate of $1,100 before they could even inspect it. I told them I would have it taken care of and I did, somewhere else for $500 LESS. today I went back for the inspection, dropped off the truck and received a call an hour later saying that the truck needed 2 items repaired to pass inspection and I would be all set for a a grand total of $474. 3 hrs later I missed their call but was on my way back there anyway and when I arrived I was told that they were just finishing up the inspection.

Took my truck in for tires. They said, I needed a brake job right away. I asked how many miles left on the ones I had? The guy said, he didn't recommend me driving much until it was done. I just got my brakes done today by a friend. They were still fine, in fact, probably had another 5000 to 10000 miles left on them. The Firestone counter guy also said they would need to change the brake calipers too when they did the brakes. This was a year and a half ago and we have gone to Lake Chelan and taken our boat out many times with this vehicle without any incident or problems noise nothing! I really feel like they were trying to sell me something I didn't need for a long time!

This immediately raised a red flag and told me that I need to be very careful about coming to this location in the future. I told the manager in so many words that I knew what was going on and that I didn't appreciate it, and it was dropped. But fast forward to about four months ago, I had my car in at the same Firestone store for a brake job. And while they had the tires off, I told them to go ahead and rotate the tires, since I had purchased them new from the same store about 3 years earlier. The tires were running smooth as silk, not a shake or shimmy up to over 80mph, until they rotated the tires.

I took my vehicle to firestone for routine maintanence last year in December 06 2007, firestone charged me 1,135.72 for all the maintanece done to my vehicle which INCLUDED brake service. I returned to firestone this month for a routine oil change and informed them that i was hearing noise coming from my breaks, they inspected the breaks and told me there was nothing wrong, days later i found myself having to stop my vehicle with the manual hand break; my breaks were sticking and would not do what they were designed to do: STOP! i almost collided with another vehicle, luckily for myself it happened in front of PEPBOYS, i immediately pulled in to PEPBOYS and had them inspect it.

The Convair X-6 was a proposed experimental aircraft project to develop and evaluate a nuclear-powered jet aircraft. The project was to use a Convair B-36 bomber as a testbed aircraft, and though one NB-36H was modified during the early stages of the project, the program was canceled before the actual X-6 and its nuclear reactor engines were completed. The X-6 was part of a larger series of programs, costing US$7 billion in all, that ran from 1946 through 1961. Because such an aircraft's range would not have been limited by liquid jet fuel, it was theorized that nuclear-powered strategic bombers would be able to stay airborne for weeks at a time.[1]

I took my 2004 Ford Taurus to Firestone Complete Auto Care because my vehicle was misfiring and my engine light came on. I was charged $100.00 for diagnostics. I told the clerk it was okay since I had had good customer service in the past (other repair shops perform the diagnostics free as they want the business). Well after about 1 hour, I was told that I needed spark plugs and a tune-up. Well, I trusted them and agreed. I was quoted $168.30 for tune-up and $77.94 for spark plugs. My invoice totaled $353.06. I felt that even though I paid too much for a tune up and diagnostic that it would pay off in the long run. I felt that you had to pay more to get the best.

Oh, I forgot one other solution they recommended, that I have them put some kind of package that they showed me and said that it was going to be costing more money because it was entirely a different problem altogether. I told them that I did not want to pay more for another repair and I just wanted them to determine if the vehicle needed more tuning up. One hour later, I was told that I must have a transmission problem because my vehicle has a big engine and it wasn't changing gears properly; that I should take it to a transmission guy. When the mechanic approached me, he said that my motor mounts were loose and that my car was old and may need transmission work.

I went into Firestone to get my brake lights replaced and a couple other minor lights. I also went to get my fuel line cleaned and new fuel filters. They called me and told me they were done and to come and get my car. They said they didn't do the fuel line work, because the pipe was rusty and they had done work on another guy's car and it ended up costing him thousands of dollars. I was on my way to get my car when I got a call back from them saying there was a bad leak in my brake line. I went to the shop, which is a block from my house, and was told I couldn't take my car off their lot. I hadn't noticed any leaking when I took the car there and even checked the spot in my underground parking lot and found not fluid spots.

Took my truck,2004 Dodge 1500, in for routine tire rotation and balance. I decided to get State Inspection. I was told by staff member they would do the tire buissness first. After 65 mins. The ass. came to me and said they had a problem with the tint on the windshield. He told me it was lower than State allowences. I told him Noone else ever had a problem in he past 4 years with the tint. He assured me they would not pass it unless the tint came off or trimed to State regs.

After getting off the phone with him, I spoke to some co-workers about it. I was informed that you cannot drive a car with a blown head gasket and I should not pick the car up because the second it was off their property, they would claim no responsibility for the damage to the car. I called Cameron and told him that I was not picking the car up and he needed to make arrangements to have it fixed. After a long time of dealing with him and his rude and arrogant attitude, he then informed me that my car needed a new engine entirely. He refused to give me the corporate office phone number. I got the number from the internet and filed a complaint.

I observed the mechanic smoking a pipe while fixing my car and the store Manager confirmed that the mechanic does have a pipe chewing problem but Jim said it was a Monkey Wrench. Then he said they don't allow smoking. He could have told he he didn't beleive me. Jim all along has said the service didn't require going up into the motor but to install my battery you have to go underneath the engine all the way to the tom of the motor.

I was trying to pay early and she said that I don't have to do that either. I understand that if I pay ahead, that would help me. Well, by me paying ahead I paid a day early and that caused that payment to go on the current cycle which I didn't meet the March 08 payment. $38 late fee applied as well as in April and I am supposed to pay $108 to be current. It is horrible! I have never been in a predicament where credit card people will not work with you and try to help you. I will pay this off on next month of May and close them out. I will never advise anyone to get them and I will make sure that I spread the word that they do not treat their consumers right.

After getting the car back from Firestone, I noticed a shaking in the car that was never there before. I inspected the tires and right away noticed that my inflation valve caps were missing. I brought the car to another mechanic, and he called me into the shop to point out a few things. 1) The centering caps that came with the rims weren't used so the wheels couldn't have been perfectly centered. 2) The tires weren't balanced. 3) There was an obvious bend in the rim that they should have noticed but didn't tell me about. 4) They only swapped out 2 tires and I am driving with 2 new tires on the left side and 2 old worn down tires on the right side. This means that they did only half the job they agreed to do. They lost my valve caps, probably threw away my centering rings, and didn't bother to balance the tires. I paid about $100 and they didn't do the job I paid them to do.

If we took Firestone's word and spent the unnecessary money to purchase new struts, we would have spent money on something that didn't need to be repaired. Apparently, Firestone has quite the reputation for finding additional work that the vehicle needs. Very rarely can you get a basic oil change and come out of there with no additional charges. I will never go back to Firestone for anything again. I have learned my lesson.

And we all must ask ourselves, why would this company sell anything that its managers deem "junk"? This is our safety riding on these tires and they openly express they sell junk? Do not go to this location. If you are in this area, I would suggest the Snellville location. When I called there the manager was kind, gracious and truly wanted to help. When I went to pick up my vehicle I found out why they didn't want to "put my tires on"; they had already attempted when they called me to tell me they could not do it and that it was against company policy. When I picked up my vehicle they had damaged all 4 rims (which I paid over $3500 for).

When he got home I checked his wheel and they had left the lug nuts loose on the right front. I tightened them with no problem. I had a mechanic look at it and he said all that was made up, Firestone was probably hoping the wheel would fall off right away and it would need everything replaced they said. Nothing happened but if it had he could have been killed or killed someone else when the wheel came off from the lug nuts loosened. Fortunately we only live a half mile from the Firestone and he got home quickly and safely and I found it right away before he drove again.

I was never informed about any inspection offered and could not have refused it. after i inquired about the inspection i was told it was just a limited inspection. my problem is as follows. i think i could have had the vehicle checked out and the problem detected without having the diagnostic expense but i was never informed. second, i never recieved a call letting me know what my problem was. the whole set of circumstances seems a little suspicious. copy thrown in the trash, statement discovered about a free inspection, but i was charged for one and then not getting a call. i have had bad service here before and won't try them again.

There were no letters stating I had a time limit sent to me before, they did send me a letter saying I had to pay full price, I have noticed Firestone, will adverstise sale that is how I got the credit card in the first place, because they advertised a sale on a oil change, I couldn't get any of the sale items until I got the credit card, that is how I became a member. This has also place a unfavored report to the credit bureau. It is unfair, I was paying intrest plus my items, that wasn't enough for them. This is the damage they have caused me, they are runing my name unfairly, and not one time have they offered me any type of repayment plan, they know I could afford at the price I bought items, which were on sale. Thank you for your time anc concern.

Basic timeline: On Dec. 15, 2008 the car was towed to Firestone late that afternoon. Sam said he would call the next day. On Dec. 16, 2008 Sam called and said the timing belt was broken, had ordered one and would call back. Dec. 18, 2008 I called and was told it wasn't the timing belt. The engine was shot and that he was looking for a rebuilt engine, and would call back next day. On Dec. 20, 2008 he didn't call so I called. Sam wasn't there. I talked to the shop manager and told me about having the engine rebuilt at Car Quest. It would be $2,500 and I would pay Car Quest for the work. On Dec. 22, 2008 I called the shop manager and gave permission to have the engine taken to Car Quest. Said it would probably take two weeks for work to be done. I was to pay Car Quest directly.

the old tires had 20.000 miles and they were in good condition, rotated every 5000 in the same place where I got them, so they should have a warranty if there was womething wrong I could take them to the place where I got them and see what happened, (I was informed that those tires will last 60000 aprox), they just replaced the tires because they wanted to make money not because the vehicle was in the need of new tires, and what if I don't like their tires? what if I like another brand? I can't choose just because they just wanted to make money as far as I know this is America we can take desicions, I know that tires is their business but they can't just do whatever they want.

I was driving my Motor Home from Flint, MI to Phoenix, AZ. Was losing power and could not keep up speed on the turnpike. Went to Firestone. James told me a couple of hours. This was on 10:20 AM 5/13/09, for an engine performance check. Due out at 5:30 PM 5/13/09. It is now 5/15/09 at 5 PM.

I have a Firestone credit card and thus far, I cannot get services performed properly on my vehicle. I always have to go somewhere else to keep from getting ripped off. At this time I needed to use my Firestone charge card for real problems, not just problems they wanted me to have to escalate the charges on my Firestone credit card.

The manager there initially told me that everything was new, and that the boots were not ripped. I insisted that he look at the boots a second time, he did, and returned stating that they were supposed to look ripped! I insisted for a THIRD time, that he inspect the vehicle again! This manager, Michael, admitted that the boots were torn, but that the boots always tear after three months! (It had only been a month since my repairs)

I purchased a lifetime balance and alignment. I have a Charger and a Magnum; both have custom wheels on them, and they knew it when the service was purchased. After several attempts of allowing Firestone to align my car and balance, it was never corrected. I addressed this with the managers of several stores; one or the other leads me to where I purchased the service.

This leave us still out of pocket for car repairs that we had to pay when bringing our car to Dodge Chrysler $1,344.70, also car rental fee, gas and stress. This on going situation has been going on from Jun 1, 2010 to present. We truly need to find out what next step we can take. The damage is my 300M/1999 Chrysler is still not in running condition and due to this situation I am in a lot of stress. My family is in a fixed income and my car is the main transportation for us.

Took 99 Suburban in for A/C service. Was charged 39.99 plus 79.99 for them to check the system and do diagnostics. Said my system was shot and required new everything. Bill was nearly $2,000 by the time they fixed it. Immediately noticed that fan would not work on HIGH and blower was rattling badly. Took it back in after trip and was told that my switch was bad and that it would cost an additional $500 plus.

Took a 2001 Beetle to have the oil changed and to have a quick inspection, including having them look for the source of a slow oil leak. The inspection turned up back brakes that were 100% gone, so bad the rotors were deeply grooved and a shot oil pan plug. Of course the only remedy for the plug was to replace the whole oil pan. I have my own mechanic who I completely trust, so I never intended to have Firestone do any work, no matter what they said was wrong. They did warn, however, that all of our oil could drain out by the time we got home. They were nice enough to do something to the oil plug in order to provide a quick fix after it was clear I was not going to pay them for an oil pan.

It gets even better. I also had the lifetime rear brake package I purchased several years ago, which is obviously pretty useless if they're not even going to pop the wheels off and check. I took the car to a different auto repair shop and they said I needed work on the rear brakes. I took it in to a different Firestone and they said the rear brakes were fine. Now, it's certainly possible that the other repair shop was lying, but considering Firestone's track record, they have no credibility. I'll be taking it to yet another repair shop in the next few weeks to get another opinion, then forward to all to my state and local district attorney's offices, state board of weights and measure, licensing board, as well as checking to see if anyone has a class action going against Firestone.

What happened to my Fixed Right Guarantee? No one at the Firestone Complete Auto Care Center seems to care. Oh by the way, I am an elderly woman. Do you think this has anything to do with it? I want answers. I want to know if your complaint department is any better than your car repair station. I had to spend more gas to go back to the mechanics. I was unable to visit my mom in Cathedral City for Thanksgiving. I was supposed to spend the day with her as she is 85 years old and going into surgery on December 7th. I was supposed to take her a Thanksgiving dinner. This probably will be her last Thanksgiving. I talked to her on the phone and found out that the neighbors had taken her to dinner. I felt really bad and I was unable to be truthful to her about my car situation.

I brought my car in around 12pm to have my radiator flushed and the lifetime alignment performed. I left the car there all day until they informed me my car was ready at about 6 o'clock. I pulled my car out and immediately noticed that my car still pulled to the right and my steering wheel was not centered, so the alignment had not been done. I still have to check the radiator to make sure they actually performed the radiator flush which I paid $100 for.

PEPBOYS informed my that my break fluid had been contaminated with what appeared to be ENGINE OIL! I was shown the oil which was in fact way to THICK in viscosity to be just break fluid and as a result PEPBOYS changed me another 1,000.00+ dollars to repair the damage. i was further informed that the seal/gasket to the master cylinder reservor was damaged. The air leaking into the break system would have also been a factor for my breaks not functioning.. How's that for safety! Once again Firestone neglected to inform me of that small important piece of information. Although I do have warranty for the work that Firestone perfomed to my vehicle, at the time i was not able to drive it over 1 mile away to them and risk (yet again) of being in a car accident...

There was a new retaining clamp on the drive axle CV boot. There was no reason for that to have been touched. I gave them specific instructions as to what repairs were to be done. This, it turns out, is the source of the clicking sound. Now, I am looking at having to replace the drive axle. I have purchased tires and have had some break work done at this location in the past, and have been very satisfied. This event has caused me to no longer want to bring my vehicle to your store for service. This is no way for employees that represent your company to build trust and loyalty in your customers. I will warn others of my experience.

I took my truck in to Firestone in the Humble, TX location for an oil change and also to get an alignment on my tires. I left it there on a Saturday morning and it was finished by 3 pm. I picked the truck and went to the 290 outlet mall. On our way back, we stopped for dinner. When we left the restaurant, I turned the truck on and I noticed that there was no oil pressure on the reader. I checked the engine to see if anything looked out of place, but didn't see anything. I took off hoping that the pressure would go up as I drove and it did when we got on the freeway.

The same store manager was on duty. I told him I needed to do the wheel alignment. He said okay and told me the price. I told him I have a lifetime service package from Firestone and as soon as he heard this, he asked, “How many miles is in your car?” I answered him and he mentioned that I have done my wheel alignment 2000 miles ago and there was no need to do it now and I cannot do it in their store unless it’s 5000 miles. But I told him that I needed to do it as my car is pulling to the right side and I want it to get it fixed. He said, “You have to wait for 3 hours then.” I just got really pissed off because it was in the morning and there were only like 1 or 2 cars in the shop and I needed to wait for 3 hours.

We took our 1997 Mercury Mountaineer to Firestone service center at 14089 New Halls Ferry Rd. for brakes, we were told that we needed a left front hub assembly. This is a two wheel drive Mountaineer and has no hub assembly. I knew that and anyone putting brakes on would see that while installing brakes. We were told that it would cost $333.40 to have repaired .I had the service person put brakes on and no other repair.

On 9/4/09, I had my oil changed at this Firestone. On 9/14/09, I was heading to work and I heard a knocking noise from under my hood and an oil smell. Later, I checked my oil and the stick was at the add oil line. I took the car back to Firestone; they checked the car and filled the car up with oil. Both times, my car was checked and there were no oil leaks. I was told that the technician did not fill the car with oil and this caused a knocking in my engine which could have damaged my engine. I have an oil smell coming from my vehicle. Firestone did not offer me a free oil change or any type of customer service gesture.

The van was out of control, crossing two lanes of traffic. We did not roll over because of the Under Vehicle Lift acted as a kickstand, and drug along the highway along with the wheel assembly. The wheel, however, continued traveling at 70 mph - crossed all four lanes of traffic, missed four vehicles and a man on a bicycle!!

The first modified B-36 was called the Nuclear Test Aircraft (NTA), a B-36H-20-CF (Serial Number 51-5712) that had been damaged in a tornado at Carswell AFB on September 1, 1952. This plane was redesignated the XB-36H, then the NB-36H and was modified to carry a 1 megawatt,[3] air-cooled nuclear reactor in its bomb bay. The reactor, named the Aircraft Shield Test Reactor (ASTR), was operational but did not power the plane. Water, acting as both moderator and coolant, was pumped through the reactor core and then to water-to-air heat exchangers to dissipate the heat to the atmosphere. Its sole purpose was to investigate the effect of radiation on aircraft systems.[3]

The service was excellent, as was the service advisor who worked with me. But I noticed that while I waited for my service to be completed, several women came in as customers and your waiting area has nothing geared to women. I recommend that you re-think your waiting room environment. Women spend a lot of time and money dealing with car problems, and having something special waiting for them would probably increase your business - recommendations. One suggestion, have a drawing for a free spa visit. Maybe have magazines that women like to read, which includes Time and Newsweek, not just People. Thank you for listening, and I hope you'll think about these recommendations.

But when I went to the shop, there was a huge spot under my car. They told me the only way to get my car was to get it tolled. It was late Saturday, so I left the car there. I then got a car on Monday, and they said they couldn't get the fluids to go through my brake line so they had to do more work. My bill went from $158 to $1,124.33. I feel like they robbed me, and I should have called the police. People are telling me to sue them. The parts for my car were $400, and they charged me $600 in labor. I will tell everyone I know and even people I don't know about them. They are crooks and they will rob you.

Bottom line - all four brake rotors were well above the manufacturers minimum limits so I had them perform the resurfacing and then install new linings. Why did they want to sell me new rotors? For the exact reason I hate bringing my car to any dealer or repair shop for work - because they make more money when they sell you an item that is faster to replace than it is to repair! By standing up to them and not letting them sell me items I don't need, I didn't spend the extra $130 that they wanted for the rotors.

I contacted the manager and he said bring in the vehicle so he could inspect it. I did and I raised the hood and he agreed that there was not anything wrong with the battery, he also checked the belt by trying to lay under the front of the vehicle. He stated the belt was bad. I have worked on cars most of my life and know when a belt needs to be replaced and have replaced several. I believe the manager was trying to make money off me because I am old and was walking with a cain. I was born at night, not last night and I do not appreciate trying to be ripped off. I have always trusted Firestone to keep up the maintenance on my vehicles, not anymore.

My husband and I were driving home yesterday with my three-year-old son in the car when our car overheated. We were barely able to make it to the shop although luckily we did. After diagnosing the vehicle, they gave us a price of $911. The part alone was going to cost us $390, and that is used. It was another $300 in labor and another $160 to program the part. Well, they assumed because I was unable to drive the car out of there, that I would agree to that insanity. I bought the part for $165, and the shop down the street is programming and fixing the car for $400. That's $565 total, a difference of $346. Shame on them, especially in these times to take advantage of people because they think they have no other recourse. After all, it's supposed to b a trusted name, right? I guess you can trust that you will get ripped off!

On June 10, 2010, I took my car to Firestone in Alexandria, VA. My car was stalling. They check and said that since the engine light wasn't on, they couldn't tell much but said we needed a tune up consisting of six sparks plugs and they tuned our electronic ignition, charged us for diagnostic and EK-10T ever-wear fuel system cleaner. The total cost was $392.24. On June 14, 2010, we had to return my car because it started stalling and shutting off, they check my car again and said that no engine light came on but he assured me it was fine.

He was running specials on tires as it was so he did nothing for me. I will never go back there again and I will tell everyone I know not to go there. Also when he put my tire back on my rim, there was grease everywhere on the rim. They were empty with no business when I arrived to pick up my car. It's not like he couldn't have wiped the rim off.

On January 21st on my way to lunch from my job, my vehicle started acting up. It would only go 30 mph no matter how hard I pushed on the gas. I contacted Firestone who told me too bring my truck to AAMCO who would fix the transmission problem they created. Firestone Claims Department contacted me the next day and stated they would pay for the damages and rental car expenses while my truck was being repaired. Firestone paid AAMCO, but has not contacted me in regards to the bill invoices for the car expenses and requests of what I was seeking in return.

After reading the letter that Bryan from Firestone wrote, I was just once again reminded of the incident as when I first took my car back and told Bryan what happened. He told me he didn’t know anything about these cars’ upper manifold gasket and as you read, he mentions that he inspected it and it was fine but only 3,000 miles later is when the trouble begins; just enough time to break apart after being intensely overheated when the radiator hose blew off on a hot day in traffic and the car got so hot that the engine failed. Bryan sent all kinds of print outs from the internet that he or anybody could copy but did he read them? The first article about 2001 Firebird with stuck thermostat only 25,000 miles and the upper intake manifold gasket was ruined from overheating just the same as my car.

I took my 1999 Toyota Solaro car in for a routine oil change. The next morning, my car didn't want to start. It was making a funny noise from the engine. So I went back to Firestone and they said oil was leaking and they didn't know where it was coming from so they topped it off again.

It was telling that in the 30 minutes total we were in the store, every single customer, male and female, complained about being ripped off. I made it out spending only $62.00 for the oil change and inspection since I am lucky enough to know an honest person in the business. I will never let anyone I know take their car to Firestone for anything unless I am allowed to punch them in the face.

We have a 1998 Toyota Camry which has been driven ONLY driven by my husband and me. We have ALWAYS taken our cars for service to Firestone, for all of our needs: brake jobs, new tires, tire rotation, and also for ALL of our oil changes. They do have the history of both of our cars in their files. We had a minor issue in the past with one of their stores and we reported it to the District Manager, David G., and nothing came of it. It simply died. That incident was related to bad service by the clerk in the Pembroke Pines office, and secondly, to report that within the same day, we received three different quotes for the same job - a brake job. We reported this to the district manager and that was the end of it. Since we had always used Firestone, and still continued to trust them, so we decided to use another store and chose the Southwest Ranches store in Broward County.

When they returned, the owner said the transmissions had been ruined by the axle Firestone installed. It was defective, they said, where it met the transmission. Furthermore, if I drove the car, with the new replacement transmission, it too, would have to be replaced. So, I had it towed back to Firestone. They told me I'd have to let them remove the axle and send it to the manufacturer, because legally, they would have to make the decision to admit it was defective and compensate me or not.

I took my car to them for the brakes to be inspected. The brake work was recently done, which included changing the rotor, caliper, and pads. After inspecting they said the problem is with the master cylinder, and it needs to be replaced. The cost for the cylinder is $500 from the dealer, plus labor, and tax. I checked with the dealer for the price of the same part, and they said if its for retails, it will be $413.80, and to shops it is $334. When I asked them if I can get the part from the dealer myself and you do the labor, they said no. Obviously this will affect their margin. They are just crooks, and want to steal the money from you because of exorbitant charges.

I own a 2002 Z06 Corvette. I took it to Firestone in Beachmont, Ohio to get 4 new tires installed. I had my buddy follow me up so we went to Wal-Mart while the tires were being done. Wal-Mart is about 8 miles up the street from Firestone. On the way back, we saw an employee "test driving" my car. I arrived back at Firestone and it was at least 10-15 minutes before he arrived back with my car. I think this was more of a joy ride than a test drive and I don't believe it needed to be test driven anyway.

No economic or physical damage but there is a Good Year right across the street and they might not be as rude as Firestone employees are.

This is the second time this has happened at this dealer. The last time, they gave me a credit for an oil change. This time I won't even bother dealing with them, because I sure won't be going back. My concern with this is the potential danger in improperly inflated tires and the chance that someone may eventually get into a wreck or worse. I'm not even sure if there is anything you can do, but I feel it should be reported to someone.

Now, it would seem Samuel, the professional, could have done the same thing. He said, "you show me the paperwork you have and I will replace your battery under warranty." He said this to me only, after I informed him I would file a complaint with Firestone. And, I would expect this complaint to be made available to Firestone. I will file the same report with the Better Business Bureau here in Denver. Samuel has no business managing a Firestone. He has no interactive skills with customers. He only excels in making the customer feel as if only what he thinks is right without any due regard to what the customer says. I don't believe Samuel is an ethical and professional manager. He needs to improve or Firestone will lose some of its customers. They have in this regard.

I ASKED FOR A RENTAL from day one but he didn't get me one until after i called and complained about him. Jim stated that he wouldn't answer my calls because he needed to talk to the mechanic first but he could have answered my calls and given me an update. i got the oil that came out of my car and it is BULK OIL and they didn't even ask what kind of oil to use. The oil looks like it wasn't changed. the oil filter that they (firestone) put on the car was a very small cheap brand than what my Mechanic got on it right now(About half the size) and what Jiffy lube puts on my brand of car. I got the one they put on for evidence.

After brake job at the Waterford Michigan Firestone dealer I had to have my truck towed to a Ford dealer because brakes fell apart and locked up the vehicle. The truck would not move emergency brake fell apart completely. After paying Firestone $500.00 for brake job, it cost me $651.27 to have the Ford Dealer repair, the Firestone repair job. Complained to dealer and he said tough we fired the technician that did the brake job.

I took my car to Firestone thinking it would be a reliable place to get some things fixed with my car. I bought 4 new tires and I told the man who took the car that I heard a funny noise coming from the car and it might be a belt, could he please check this for me. He forgot to check the first time I asked him so I had to tell him again, then he came back with there is nothing wrong with the car. I told him there was because I hear it so he said he would tighten all the belts. The next day, I had just got done dropping my daughter off at daycare when I ended up on the side of the road because my car broke down.

I went in for a tire rotation, balance and leaking right front tire on my Land Rover Discovery. While I was there, an employee came in and said he was having issues getting my wheels off due to the lugs. So, I walked out into the service area to see what the issue was. There I saw a man hammering the wrong size socket onto my lugs. I told him to stop immediately and went inside to get the manager. The manager claimed that my lugs where already damaged and that's why he was using the hammer. I told them that the lugs were metric and not standard and that they had used the wrong size socket!

After an hour he told me that the right rear was below limits and the left rear was worse (remember that the right rear had the damage, the left rear did not). I asked to see the technician and I was led in to the shop. The technician showed me on the computer that the rear rotor minimum limit was .409 inch. He then took the caliper (measuring device) and measured the rotor. I pointed out to the technician that, not only was he using the caliper incorrectly, the rotor measurement was well in excess of the minimum limit. I then asked him about the left rear and he said that it's not off the car yet and hasn't been measured. NOTE: I was told that the left was worse than the right.

This is the 4th or 5th time I've had tires rotated and oil changed. My complaint is that the oil is always overfilled, I have to return and get it corrected. Toyota calls for 5w20 oil, I have stated so, upon arrival for the oil change and still received 10w30 which is not correct. On one tire rotation and oil change, one of my wheel covers was broken. They didn't say anything about it getting broken by them. I saw it was not on the car when I started to leave, they did replace it. I was informed today 5/12/09, that I should go somewhere else if they didn't get it right today and again, today my car was filled with 10w30. I have had to return every service and wasted 5 or 6 hours total, to get things right.

My son took his car in to Firestone for a front end alignment check which we had received a coupon for a free check. They came back and told him his wheel was about to fall off and he needed new hub, new ball joint, etc., totaling over $3000 on his right front wheel.

I spoke with Kevin first who then transferred me to the supervisor, Maryann. She starts off on the defense and I just need to know if they can remove my late fees of $76. She said no. I asked if they could adjust my cycle date since I am on a fixed salary and she said they don't do that at Firestone, "Very few creditors do that." That is not true. I have them do it often because I know that I am on a set income (an educator). She goes on to say that the reason I was charged in February is because I paid a day early in the same cycle so that caused that payment to go on that cycle and not the next one.

I have now been notified that I have been charged and paid for oil filters that I have never received. Upon trying to have this service performed at a private mechanic shop, I was then informed that the oil filter seal has never been broken. The original filter some 10-12 oil changes later. I still have the original factory filter in the car. I want all my money back. This is a breach of agreement, and they owe me for each time I had services done there. Keep in mind the performed fuel system cleaning for like $400.00 and I am just hot and bothered by this new-found issue! Filter cap is stuck.

I had to walk three miles to the nearest phone to call AAA. I had the car towed back to the Firestone and they said that it would cost over a thousand dollars to fix my car but if I didn't want to do that they could donate it for me! Of course I didn't donate my car so I had it towed back to another dealership and called Firestone corporate office. They sent someone out to look at the car and came back with the water pump was bad and that's what caused the engine to overheat. If that's the case why didn't Firestone tell me that before I ended up on the side of the road and why was my belt broken. I think that they tightened my belt too tight which caused it to break and then my engine to overheat! I am a single mother and have no one to help me on this situation. I know nothing about cars but I do know if the water pressure pump was bad I'm sure it would have shown signs before they messed with my car.

I took my Chrysler 2008 to get an oil change on Sunday, January 3, 2010. I received a call regarding a nail in one of the tires. I was told the nail was in the sidewall and could not be replaced. I purchase two new tires on the advice of Jim. My vehicle has 19653 miles on it. I brought the car back today January 10, 2010 because it pulls to the left. The steering wheel is not leveling, it is set to the right. I was told today without someone actually looking at the vehicle that it needs a wheel alignment. I had no problem with the steering before I took my car. I could turn the steering wheel lose and it would maintain position. The steering wheel was even to the Chrysler logo. I am very upset and will not take my car to Firestone again.

I needed an oil change for my car, so I went to a Firestone on Coit Rd. near Legacy Dr. It was a very bright sunny day. I looked through a glass window to the garage. I noticed several cars had the lights turned on (in the bright garage). I waited for a while. A salesperson showed me a small test strip showing the battery is drained/low, and that I needed to have a new battery. I responded, "C'mon, I just replaced that battery 3 months ago at Sears." He showed me that test strip again and said, "The test showed your battery is drained... This is an actual test result."

Honda dealership and West Coast Body shop have forensic proof that this accident was due to a faulty brake job from Firestone and that I was lucky not to get killed. I had to pay $500 dollars on my insurance deductible to get my bumper and hood fixed. Plus additional car rental out of pocket of $400 and $712 to get a complete new brake job for my car. At the time of the accident I was on disability and that is my only source of income.

I replaced the rear brake pads and rotors on my car late (Oct-Dec) 2008. Recently, I smelled something like burning rubber from the right side of the car. I also noticed some smoke from right side. I took it to Firestone for a checkup. I was told they did not smell anything but right brake caliper needs replacement because it is locking up to cause drag on brake pads. I asked them how did they find that? Robert took me to shop floor and the mechanic working on the car told me the temperature on the right brake pad was about 376 degrees.

I took my wife's 2000 Corolla in with check engine light on. I was told it was the MAF sensor. Also, I needed 2 front tires. I was given a quote of $605.30 for all. I went to Auto Zone and was told this part was not for this year of car. I bought the correct part and went to install it myself. I lifted the hood and noticed the engine cover not attached. I called the store and took the car back to have them put the cover back on. The correct part at Firestone cost $416.77 (not labor). I paid $151.99 at Auto Zone. One month later, we needed to replace brake pads on the front where Firestone put new tires. It was discovered they had stripped the lug nut. I took the car back, and they had to cut the lug nut off. They did not say sorry or anything.

They replaced parts on my car which were not defective. Charged me $842.07 for a $100 repair. Specifically, EGR valve, EGR sensor, and EGR solenoid. No way these parts could have all failed at the same time. Also Aout $250 for cleaning ports and some sort of Wynn fuel treatment on my 2002 Lincoln town car with 32000 miles.

I took my car to get 2 new tires yesterday at a local shop: Firestone Complete Auto Care Bustleton; Bustleton Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19115. The mechanic put so many weights to balance the tires that I started to realize something was wrong. When he switched the front tires to the back, to put the new tires on the front, he did not put them on snugly (which I did not know at the time). I felt that I should take it to a private mechanic. This mechanic told me what a bad job he did, and that the way he mounted the rear tires was dangerous. The private mechanic shook his head in disbelief at all the weight the mechanic put on the new tires, and they rebalanced the whole thing.

I had a coupon for brake works for 89.99. When my brake work was done, he said Because of you guys who use coupons, we don't make any money. It seems that we would rather give out money than do business. Never said thank you for your business.

In addition to horrible customer service, being yelled at by a child, I would like to submit a complaint about a company in Charlotte, NC. The company stores hundreds of confidential client records in the unlocked public bathroom on the premises. Such information included name, address, telephone number, VIN, license plates number, etc. The store was visited on May 28, 2009 at or near 11:30 am Eastern Time. I was shocked to see that such information were readily available for anyone to peruse and use at will for identity theft.

My 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix was leaking power steering fluid. I took it into Firestone, left it there. They called me a while later to let me know that the pressure line and return line were leaking and that this was going to cost me $600!!. I spoke to my boyfriend, who said absolutely not, take the car out of there we'll take it somewhere else. I called Firestone and then they told me that just the return line was leaking and that they could replace it for $300 approximately. I still said no and took the car to my friend's husband's shop. He called me and told me that it wasn't the pressure or return line it was another line that was leaking. So he repaired the line, gave a me an oil change, topped my fluids and put air in my tires. $89!!!! Firestone is a rip off. I now know for a fact that they have ripped me off in the past. They charged me once $400 to repair the pump for my windshield wiper fluid!! I will never take my car there again. Compare $89 to $600!!

I had the van towed to Firestone Complete Auto Care where we were asked to reimburse them for the towing charge. I contacted the Firestone Consumer Affairs Dept and was able to recover the original cost of service and the towing charge. Nothing was offered for the cost of repairing the damage to my van. It was a terrifying experience.

Finally, I asked if my warranty would be honored at another store. I took my car to another Firestone, they provided me a digital readout of the alignment test. Point being, the Firestone on Florida Blvd should not offer a service that it cannot provide. They charged me $65 for an alignment, they knew they were unable to properly perform. Then, instead of just admitting the mistake, the manager kept giving me the run around; I had to go to Firestones 9 times to get the issue resolved. Their remedy was to give me the lifetime alignment (upgrade) and a $50 refund for my trouble. POINT BEING: The Firestone in question is behaving unethically. It is taking payment for a service it is unable to properly perform. So, BEWARE. Just be sure to ask whether or not your Firestone has the automated alignment machine.

I have paid them since 12/08 a total of $1009.00 my bill for Firestone was $700 and change. However, they they kept charging me fees and late fees. I was paying it until I realized I already paid them off. Now they keep calling and harassing me saying I still owe them over $100. I just want them to leave me alone. I do not owe them any more money. It is ridiculous companies are allowed to keep doing this and affecting consumer's credit ratings.

I had to take my car to Firestone for a safety inspection. The service adviser is very unprofessional and does not communicate with the customers. He called on my phone to tell me that I will need to change the wipers for my car to pass the inspection. I asked for the price and decided not to get the wipers changed. When I went to pick up my car, it was written on the recommended services that I also had to change my light bars bulb before the car can pass the inspection. I ask the service adviser for more details, and he told me that since I did not want them to change my wipers, I did not need further information because the light bar was a hundred times more expensive than the wipers. I did not like the tone he used, and I replied that I could get my wipers fixed somewhere else for a cheaper price. At this comment, he let me know that I could also find a place to fix my light bar.

My mechanic explained that Firestone must have broken it in the first place. Because it was not broken when he put the tie rods on. He said to do an alignment. The boot must be loosened first and then tightened back up after doing an alignment. My mechanic called Firestone to inform them of the condition of the tie rod boot and to say they needed to replace it. He spoke to Nicholas and the manager. They both were very unprofessional towards my mechanic and hung up on him.

I took my car in for a flat at the Firestone care center by my home in Ft. Lauderdale, FL 33315. At the time, I asked for the tires to be balanced and rotated - something I paid for as a lifetime package from a previous visit. When I went to pick up the car, I was told there would be no charge. But I was given an estimate on the struts, which (I was told by Firestone) were shot. I, until now, had no problem with the struts or the movement of the car. Now after the visit, my car seems to bounce around more than before. I only have 40 thousand miles on my 2003 car. I find it suspicious that after my flat fix, I have excess movement and strut problems. My car drove fine; now it's bouncing all over the road. I feel that this Firestone auto center is shady and doing things to the cars so you have a big ticket item to fix when before there was no problem. I'm angry and hope someone checks into this.

I went in to get a Inspection Sticker and an oil change. After a few minutes the manager stated that I had a nail in one of my tires, corrosion on my battery and a bad air-conditioner belt. He wanted $12.00 to clean the battery and $80.00 for a new belt. I told him to repair the tire only.

I had a flat tire & had to use fix a flat to get to Firestone for the repair - I had good service however - I was certain I had tire protection for my existing tires. I ended up purchasing 2 new tires . The representitive told me I negated my plan due to using the fix a flat. Can you help?

Firestone in Salem, OR change my rear differential fluid and used the wrong gasket material when replacing the cover. The oil dripped out and damaged the gears. Of course, they denied any responsibility.

I am very unhappy being past 7 days and I could get a citation from the police if pulled over. My husband asked for the Firestone corporate office number and was hung up on 3 times, and was given a fax number. I will not pay a citation when Firestone is now liable because they will not take my vehicle back in to issue my sticker. I will never return to Firestone again. This is the worst state inspection experience that I have ever had and the customer service has become very poor.

Of course me pointing out he was listed on my receipt to the manager didn't mean anything, nor was the manager suspicious that he was originally unwilling to admit he worked on my car. I asked how the earlier technician's claim that I wasn't being truthful about being told on the phone originally that nails caused the damage could be authenticated, since he admitted he left before the wheels were even off my car. The manager shrugged and had no answer other than to repeat, "Our tools can't cause that kind of damage." It was his rhetoric motto the entire conversation. The store then tried claiming it was my fault and the damage occurred when I hit a curb, even pointing out that he (the manager) had 32 years of experience and sees this type of damage all the time from that kind of incident.

On 11/27/2009, at about 10:00 am, I went to this Firestone Auto Care Center and asked to have an oil change. The store manager brought my service records from his computer. After browsing through my service records, he asked if I ever had any services done there other than oil change. I said no. He then asked, "None of the services we recommended, like tire change?" I told him I got a tire from Costco which happened to offer a great discount. He said "We can't do oil change for you today. We don't have oil filter for your car," and he added, "You can go to Costco, I think they offer oil change service for members!"

Took my car in to have my brakes checked, they had been squeaking. They said I needed new pads, gave me the cost, and I had them go ahead and put new pads on. Picked the car up and immediately noticed they were still squeaking. Drove the car for a couple of days and they squeaked more than when I took them my car. Took the car back, told them what was happening, they said they would check it out. They called an hour later to tell me they couldn't hear anything. That they'd been driving the car around for 30 min! I assured them that they were squeaking. Went in to pick the car up and they said they went ahead and put new pads on. Isn't that what they already did? I said, they never really replaced the pads did they? He said, oh they did. They were getting the mileage off my car and when I asked why they were doing that he said so just in case I decide to sue them. If that's not admitting wrong ...

On September 5, 2009, I brought my car to Firestone. I took my car there to have my oil changed and a technician told me that I needed to have my transmission flushed and needed over $800.00 worth of repairs done to my truck. Putting my trust in Firestone’s hands was a mistake that I will never make again. After the Firestone technicians were finished with my truck, it started to make a noise. I brought my truck back several times but no one there could figure out what the problem was. Two months later, the drive and the noise of my vehicle became worse, so I brought my truck back to Firestone for the third time and started questioning about the fluids that they used in my truck.

My son went in to get his car inspected and then got a phone call saying that his brake light wasn't working and it wouldn't pass inspection and they would need $88.00. So, he said he needed it fixed it since it was so late in the month and allowed them to go forward for $88.00. However, they came back and said that it was going to cost $160 total for the whole thing and he had them restate the amount but when he came to pick the car, the bill came to $259.65.

I took the truck next to Firestone. They checked it out and said nothing was wrong with it. The following days, it was making knocking noises so I took it to GMC dealership. Once, I took the truck to GMC dealership and found out that Firestone used a really cheap engine oil and cheap oil filters. Firestone ruined the engine so it had to be replaced through GMC. Never go to Firestone for anything. They are a rip off.

I took my car in for routine tire rotation and oil change. I was told that my front brake needed to be done immediately- 90% wear left on the left front brake but only 30% left on the right front brake. Store manager said it was getting into the caliper and needed to be done soon and gave me a quote for a large sum. I'm planning to have this evaluated somewhere else. If the wear was that bad, I should have been informed on the oil change prior but nothing was said. I also had switched to this store because another branch in Raleigh lost my center cap and wouldn't replace it - they also told me I needed a ball joint job that I did not need at all. I just want an oil change and the tire rotation included when I bought the tires. It is ludicrous that nearly every time I walk in the door, something else is "wrong" and it's "immediate". I don't need the hassle even if the prices are cheaper than my regular mechanic.

I brought my car in to get a new battery. The business replaced the battery and charged over one hundred dollars for the battery. Several times after the battery was replaced the vehicle would not start. I brought my vehicle back to the business and asked to speak to the manager. A male identified himself as the manager and I told him the vehicle would not start several different times. He asked when I purchased the battery and I told him November 21st and he wanted to know why I waited a week to bring the vehicle back. When I asked him why that was a problem he became belligerent and called me names. The manager called the police and wanted me to leave.

Mechanic also showed me how he checked the temperature using an instrument. They recommended changing rear brake calipers. I paid $496.34 for changing them. The very next day, I noticed the smell and smoke again from under the car. When I called them, they said that they can inspect it again if I bring the car. I do not want to take to them because I lost trust in their service. I may file a complaint with my State's Attorney General.

Some time later mid morning, Mike called to advise they needed three hour labor approval to open the engine and inspect the head gasket as they could not test the pressure in the radiator because of the engine. He explained that it would probably be a $1,000 car expense but that he had to check for cracking. I requested a visual inspection report and never received one until I called several times and insisted. When I finally spoke with someone, it was Cory who told me he did not think it was cracked and everything looked good.

Had the program progressed, follow-on aircraft would have been based on the successor to the B-36, Convair's swept-wing B-60.[7]

Discovered after having the tires rotated that an alloy wheel had been cracked and was GLUED back together. Anybody with any knowledge about tires and wheels knows that next to not properly securing lug nuts that a cracked wheel is the most dangerous situation for tires and wheels. Their response - NOTHING! To cover this up is negligent at least and criminal if someone had been hurt. I sympathize with people being overcharged, but to put a customer's life on the line by sending the car back on the road in an unsafe condition like this and then refuse to even respond is the height of arrogance.

I have now payed an extra 1,000.00+ for a service that should have been done right the first time. furthermore i can't drive a vehicle which FIRESTONE has worked on without wondering what else did they do? and how is this going to affect my safety and the safety of others?

On July 9,2010 we picked my car up. We left and was driving to Woodbridge, VA. Our car start to putt and shaking, real back speed was 5mph and it just cut off. My wife call Firestone to let them know what was going on. She talked to Peter, another shop mgr. He stated to her that we couldn't bring our car Chrysler 300M/1999 back to their shop. She was upset because it was hot and our daughter was with us. We needed a tow truck. I got on the phone with Peter he said the same as he told my wife. I told him we just had our car fixed by them (Firestone) and that they are responsible for the repairs. I went on to say I'm bringing my car back and hung up the phone.

So, on May 18, 2008 we took our 98 Camry to the store in Southwest Ranches. The store manager was very nice and we explained to him that we had had an issue with the other store in the past and that we would not be taking our car there for service any longer, but wanted to continue our relationship with Firestone. At that time we had our car serviced for new brakes, tire rotation and an oil change. We were the first customers in the store that day as it was very early in the morning and told the manager to simply call us when everything was done. We got the call to pick up the car in the afternoon.

Well, I hung up the phone counted to 10, canceled my appointment and took my car to Discount Tire. They were so nice, looked at my car immediately and told me that my front left tire was 20 lbs low on air, was missing any and all balance weights and that someone had just put grease on the front rotors which was causing the car to severely shudder under braking and that if they had not noticed it when they did, it would cause my rotors to be warped. I'm not pointing fingers - oh who am I kidding, yes I am - I think Firestone did this on purpose trying to get a single female to pay, pay, pay.

Now today August 26th 2008 and my car won't acclerate,it is running hot and the brakes are messed. I spoke to corporate again and stressed that I want my car fixed but not by anyone they know but by a certafied mechanic because there is no oil going to the oil pump and my motor is about to go out. Need help

I'll never forget how much this cost me--a total of over $2,000, partly due to having to rent a car while mine was in the shops. I've never done business with any Firestone since. And the stress was incredible during the whole month this went on, in the middle of a job and housing hunt.

I was lied to multiple times by their staff. The manager even caught his own technician in a lie and refused to admit or even acknowledge that it had occurred. Not a single explanation from them proved to be plausible. They tried putting the blame for the damage on me. Their store manager even showed through a physical demonstration that it was possible for them to have caused the damage to my wheel and again refused to acknowledge that fact. I have filed a claim with the Consumer Affairs Division of Firestone. I am still waiting for them to get back to me. In the meantime, because I require my vehicle for work, I was forced to purchase two new wheels and am waiting for the delivery currently so I can get my car off 1 damaged wheel and 1 doughnut spare and make it drivable again. As with what seems to be a large volume of complaints against these centers, I would recommend staying clear of them and taking your business elsewhere.

He then said to just bear with him. He sat down, ate his lunch (McDonald's) and I am clearly mad. I called customer relations and they spoke with Steve. He then rudely told me, "Now, I have to fix a problem that I did not do." I told him that he needed to send my car to the dealer. He then said okay and that he would get me a rental car. A few hours went by, he called and said, "You can pick up your car. I told you to bear with me." A few minutes later, David called and said, "No, don't pick up your car because it is still not acting right."

Took my vehicle in for its yearly inspection. The inspector at Firestone said it need three new tires and could give me a good deal on four new tires and that I should get an alignment if I am getting new tires. Bought the new tires and got an "alleged" alignment. When I drove the car the next day I found out that I had not received the alignment. When I took the vehicle back 3 days later, the manager of the store said the vehicle could not be properly aligned because it needed an after market part. This was new to me since all the previous alignments it had did not need this "after market part". When I requested a refund since Firestone did not do a proper alignment and had Firestone told me beforehand about this alleged "after market part," I would have not have Firestone do the alignment and taken my vehicle to my normal alignment place. And to be quite honest, I would have most likely go to my normal tire place as well.

I dropped off my car because the two rear tires were showing they were low on air in my dash display. They had been showing this way for 2 days over the weekend, and I was putting air in them each day to keep them up until Monday. Monday morning, I dropped my car off around 7:00am. At noon, I got a call that both rear tires had nails in them, and should be replaced. Actually, I was told all 4 tires should be replaced. I initially told them just replace the two rear tires and they agreed. Shortly after that, I called back and decided to just replace all 4 tires so the tread would be even. More than an hour later, according to the invoice history, I was called back. The story had now changed from nails, to the rim of one wheel being cracked and not usable.

The X-6 would have been powered by General Electric X-39 engines (J47 engines modified to use nuclear energy as fuel), utilizing a P-1 reactor.[8] In a nuclear jet engine, the reactor core was used as a heat source for the turbine's air flow, instead of burning jet fuel. One disadvantage of the design was that, since the airflow through the engine was used to cool the reactor, this airflow had to be maintained even after the aircraft had landed and parked.[7] GE built two prototype engines, which can be seen outside the Experimental Breeder Reactor I in Arco, Idaho.[1]

Not only this, I was also told that the filter was not cleaned at all in the last few months. And again, the filter, alignment and other detailed inspection was done just two days ago and I had spent over $600 for all this before coming to New York. So, they failed my car with the inspection and my report was sent to the New York DMV via email. I was forced to recheck the alignment. Of course, I took my car out of there and went to another service center where I was told there was absolutely NOTHING wrong with the alignment, but since the report was already sent to New York DMV, they had no choice but to look at it.

I called Firestone to ask if they would put on the tires if I brought them in, they said yes. I was late and still could not get them on same day. I left the truck overnight and they were to put the tires on first thing in the morning. I received a call in the morning stating the district office called them and told them it was against company policy to put my tires on because I did not purchase them there. This was a blatant lie because I called three other locations in my areas and all were more than willing to put them on for me. I feel this manager was a bully and he wanted to send me driving off on extremely dangerous tires to "show me" that I should have bought the tires. He was pushing on me.

They left me with a circuit board that hangs down from under the dash onto my right knee. The dealer is telling me the wiring harness is beyond repair and that I may want to consider purchasing another vehicle. My 2 auxiliary ports (cigarette lighter) are fried. The likelihood of an additional fire inside the cab is significant if I attempt to use the auxiliary ports. Bottom line, my vehicle is a danger to drive in their opinion.

I sent the invoice, and then he said it was far too expensive and that the company that towed my truck didn't exist! Bret ** knew this he says because he is from that area. He has refused to pay the bill and told me to talk to his boss. He also said that it must be nice to have 400 dollars cash with myself in the middle of nowhere and said it in a very accusatory manner as though I had lied about the tow bill. I have called his boss Rich ** and have yet to receive a response concerning my tow bill or the irresponsible actions by Firestone employees like Bret **.

I brought my 2003 Pontiac Vibe in for an oil change on 11/18/2008. Scott the manager said it would be a little while so I went for lunch and then came back. I drove my car to my office and then home. I noticed a sound from the bottom of my car and thought that I had something loose. The next morning, I brought my car to my mechanic that I normally go to and he said it sounded like a bearing issue and asked me to bring it in the next morning so he could check it out when he had an available appointment time.

I went into the Mall of Georgia location when I noticed two of my tires were falling apart from the inside. This was very dangerous and that location was the closest tire shop. They did not have the tire size I needed in stock and I needed tires before I could drive anywhere. They located some tires they could get the next day but told me they were "junk"; but for double the price I could get some others they could also get the next day. I wasn't excited to get "bad tires", so I called my brother-in-law who is a master tech for a large auto company and he found me 4 very good tires.

For some reason the car started shaking at 70mph (interstate driving) and I immediately knew they had to have done something to cause this. Perhaps adding or taking away a wheel weight or something, hoping I would come back and pay to have them high-speed balanced. I have made my last trip to this Firestone store, located at the Huntington Mall, in Barboursville, WV. Everyone, beware of this store!

On Saturday morning of March 28th, I called the store and spoke to a man by the name of Wayne. I asked if he could get me 3 tires because one was fairly new. He said he would check and call me back. He called and said he could. I told him great and I would be in. I dropped off the car and he told me he would call me when it was done - fine. I returned to the store around 5 pm and waited about 30 minutes. It was done and I proceeded to the counter with a family member (male), which was lending me the money and helping during this difficult time for me. As we proceeded to pay, Wayne replied, "Wow, how nice it must be for someone to buy me tires, and I wish someone would buy me tires." I never in my life felt so bad, and it was hard enough for me to except the help of others. I felt his comment in front of myself and several other people present in the store was completely uncalled for. He does not know me or my present situation. Wayne also told me if I was to ever get a flat, Firestone would take care of it, not knowing I was being charged for the service.

When I brought my truck to Firestone, my expectation was to get an oil change for the price of $17.99. I had to apply for a Firestone credit card because at the time I did not have $800.00 to pay to have the repairs they recommended done. I have been paying that credit card faithfully twice a month to get it paid off. I stuck to my agreement and I hope that Firestone will understand the frustration and inconvenience that I have been going through ever since I took my car there on 09-05-2009.

I had a nail in a tire on a new car with 4,000 miles on it. I took it to Firestone Service Center and left the car for an hour. They told me they could not fix it because the nail was "too close to the sidewall" (about 2" from it, well onto the tread), and offered to replace the tire with a non-matching tire for $208 + balancing. I took the car to an independent tire dealer. He said it was ridiculous Firestone would not fix it. He fixed it for free.

We immediately thought of the oil change that had transpired 3 weeks earlier, and right away, attempted to call Firestone's 1-800 number to let them know what had happened. We also tried to contact the store. By this time they were both closed and there was response at the store, and the 1-800 number simply had a message stating that we should call back Monday through Friday during their hours of operations. We left for the airport at 4:00 a.m. next morning (Sunday), but left our daughter in charge of reporting the incident to Firestone Monday morning, and to get a case number. She did so we returned from our trip on 6/29/08, a Sunday, and first thing in the morning 6/30, my husband called Firestone to try to resolve the issue. According to our daughter, he was to call the 1-800 number and request to speak with a man by the name of Juan.

The NTA completed 47 test flights and 215 hours of flight time (during 89 of which the reactor was operated) between September 17, 1955, and March 1957[5] over New Mexico and Texas.[1] This was the only known airborne reactor experiment by the U.S. with an operational nuclear reactor on board. The NB-36H was scrapped at Fort Worth in 1958 when the Nuclear Aircraft Program was abandoned. Based on the results of the NTA, the X-6 and the entire nuclear aircraft program was abandoned in 1961.[6]

I took my truck in for a tire rotation. I asked the manager to look at the front bares for me. They told me that the brakes were okay and I agreed, but they told me that the rear stabilizer link pin was broken. I was told it would cost $298.98 to repair. I called another auto repair shop and I was told it would cost $160. I also called the dealer where I bought the truck and was told $180.

On January 16, 2009, I purchased 4 new tires - 082017 Pathmaker A/T P-Metric Owl P265/75R16. Before making the purchase, I talked it over with my wife and told her that I was told it was covered from a-z warranty if anything happened to the tire it would be covered - over $450.00 in tires. Then on February 25, 2009, I somehow picked up a nail and ended up with a flat. I took the tire back and wasn't told I didn't have their so-called Road Hazard and nothing was said that I was going to have to pay $27.45 to have the tire fixed - when I could have had it fixed right for $10.00. Then I was informed I could buy their ROAD HAZARD for $55.00.

I found out they are jibbers they condem stuff on your car that is good just to get you to spend money and when you find them out they tried to talk down to you. This is the worst bunch I have ever seen in the 24 years I'm doing business with this outfit. They need someone to speak to them about what is going on - Firestone was always a great company I hate to see these crooks damage it. I will never have my car or my wife's car or my sons car fix there while that bunch is there.

I have been a faithful customer of Firestone Auto Repair for more than 20 years and have received honest and reliable service. But about a year ago a the Firestone store in WV at the Huntington Mall location, something happened that changed my opinion. I was having a state inspection done and in the process one of the "mechanics" decided to check my transmission fluid. The manager calls my name and proceeds to tell me that I need to have my transmission pan dropped, the filter changed, and the fluid replaced. But what he didn't know was that about six months earlier I had that exact procedure done at another shop. The fluid was practically brand new!

My complaint is two-fold, the one being that I was still charged (after cancelling the appointment) with a visual inspection (that was a lie) costing me $21.99. The second complaint being the simple fact if someone came in not knowing anything about cars and took them at face value, how many people are actually spending the money for unneeded and unnecessary work (either being done or not) but still getting charged for the service?

Avoid at all costs! These guys are crooks! I wanted to buy tires, so I got a coupon from Firestonecompleteautocare.com for Firestone FR710 which was valid for a "Buy 1 tire get 2nd at 50% off". So I printed the coupon and also called them verifying that they would honor the coupon printed off the web. I spoke to a girl named Stephannie and she told me that if it's on the Firestone website then they would honor it. I live about 7 miles away from this store and that was why I called before driving there. After reaching the store and asking for tires, they said that they don't accept the coupons. When I told them that I spoke to Stephannie, I was told that she told me that they will look into it but did not promise anything. I told them to go to the website and check about the coupon themselves.

As time went on, it seemed to get worse. I took my car to my main mechanic for an oil change and asked him to check the car because the steering wheel is hard to turn again and I was hearing a noise when ever, coast on the brake. He checked it and didn't see much at first. He suggested I go to Firestone to have them check it to. At first, Firestone wanted to charge me to check it. I called my mechanic and he talked to Nicholas who is a Firestone employee and asked him to have the boot checked on the inner tie rods. Firestone checked and said they tighten it up. I drove it right back to my mechanic, he looks at it again and saw that the boot on the right inner tie rod was busted.

I had the front desk person look at the car while still in the lot and he commented that the right rear definitely needed replacement but the right front was OK. He never looked at the two on the left side.

First time I discovered that the inspection fee meant that they were destroying parts of the car that could not be replaced and would be undrivable. When I insisted, he then told me that first of all, my parts "were all over the shop" and it would take hours to find them, and if the car were to be put back together I would have to pay another three hours of labor. When I insisted I was never told that by inspecting the head gasket the car would then be undrivable, he then told me he had to talk with Mike and that I would have to talk with Mike in the morning but that he would have to check things out because the car was dismantled "all over the shop."

I feel that since the radiator wasnt able to hold its water when I got home [which is only 2.1 miles away-5 mins. away] that this problem should have been apparent to them when Firestone raised the hood IF there was a problem when we arrived-but nothing was mentioned by them which can only mean they had to have damaged this when the car was serviced. I have since found damage was done to the resevoir box too. No damage has been detected from the loose lug nuts- however I AM telling all who shop in this region to watch out for this VERY dangerous lack of attension.

Do not ever buy their free alignment [lies]! I will not ever use them again for anything. The economic damage is that I will now have to pay someone for an alignment that I was supposed to have for free. They just stole that $50 or $60 for a "lifetime alignment".

When I was picking up the vehicle, I told them I knew damn well I didn't need any bulbs. I picked up the truck and checked all bulbs off-site: they were all fine. I had the truck reevaluated by three other shops over the course of the next week. None of these three found any problems with ball joints. One small privately-owned shop (where I should have gone in the first place) found my steering issue was minor and I had it done there for about $110.00. I went to AutoZone and bought a decent muffler for under $60.00. I paid another two-man local shop $50.00 to install, which included rewelding some hangers, and had mechanical crap double-checked again there at his small private shop and all mechanicals, including ball joints, wheel bearings, tie-rods, steering, sway bars, etc., were perfectly fine.

On September 22, 2006, my IMS Dodge Grand Caravan was serviced at Firestone Complete Auto Care, Centennial CO. The service included new brake pads and flushing the brake system. On September 28, 2006, on a two mile, 7% downhill grade east of Bailey Co, the brakes on my van failed. The vehicle was stopped by downshifting to first gear and applying the emergency brake. During this process, the brake fluid boiled causing extensive damage to the braking system. We are lucky to be alive!

Stated it up to go to work and it sound horrible. So I called them took another day off and spoke to corporate and they claimed that they were going to have a certified mechanic look at it. It had to be towed back to the shop. I had to get a rental car just so that I could go to work. Got it back and it sounded worse and it wasn't no oil in it. How are you fixing a oil leak with no oil in the car and the oil light is coming on.. Somehow they messed up my brakes as well because there was fire coming from my wheels as I was pulling off. Now today August 26th 2008 and my car won't acclerate,it is running hot and the brakes are messed. I spoke to corporate again and stressed that I want my car fixed but not by anyone they know but by a certafied mechanic because there is no oil going to the oil pump and my motor is about to go out. Need helpI have to pay for cabs, rental cars. Worried because I work so far away if I am going to lose my job when my boss gets tired of me not being able to be at work on time everday like I am used to.

Since leaving the service center, the ABS light light has not turned off. The speedometer needle bounces around while driving, the brake light randomly comes on and the drivers side window malfunctions. After contacting the center to inquire about all these new issues, I was told that it would be another $89.00 for a ABS diagnostic test. I called consumer affairs and they arranged for the test to be done without any additional charge to me.

the next day it had got worsed we couldnt drive it at all so we took it to another mechanic so we could get our lower joints done because there price was lower come to find out firestone did not tighten our bolts back that was causing the noise and messed up our car more they did not take the time out to even check the problem they are sorry and need to get handled they put my life, my kids life on the line and didnt care because they just wanted the money even though nothing happen to us it might happen to someone else they are trying to get over on.

I went back to the front desk and told the guy there that the rotors are well within limits and that the left rotor, which he said needed replacement, hasn't even been inspected yet. We then went back to the shop where he asked the technician as to what's going on and the technician said that he recommends that both rotors be replaced. I then asked why since the rotor that had been inspected was well within limits prior to resurfacing. He told me that any damage to a rotor is grounds for replacement. This is basically not true and explained to him that is why there is a machine that resurfaces the rotor to remove minor surface damage. I was continually told that it is recommended that both rotors be replaced but no solid reasoning was given.

Today, October 25, 2009, I went back to the store and told Mike about the problems with the tires, that the vibration was almost gone after re-balancing but the awful humming noise was still there and asked him if he would replace the tires. He refused and said there is nothing wrong with tires. He blamed the rear tires for the noise. I told him that could not be true because I did not have the humming noise before installing the two front tires. He said all he can do is to balance the tires again and refused to replace them. I am a Firestone retiree and my wife is still working at Firestone as the accounting manager. We both feel that we have been wronged in this case and ask for a just resolution.

The service worker broke the cover for my cooling system, my transmission is now sticking, and services were indicated that I really did not need. It appears that this may have been done deliberately. The damages were over $1,500. I just purchased this vehicle and the dealership verifies that the unit was not broken.

Then, Steve comes out and said, "Well, Ms. **, your anti-theft device has set off and we have to wait and walk away." I asked Jeff and David what are they doing back there. I only wanted my battery changed. He said, "I don't know." I then said that all he has to do is lock the car door with the key and then unlock and repeat that step twice and it will reset. Jeff then said, "Well, if I tell him that, he won't listen."

I am writing to complain about a recent visit to one of your tire service centers. It is located on TV highway in Beaverton, Oregon. I recently had the breaks, front and back, replaced and new rotors installed. I do not have a complaint with that repair. About a week after the break repair, I noticed a clicking noise coming from the left front of the car after coming to a stop. I thought it may have been related to the break work, and perhaps a caliper was sticking. So I got under the car to take a look. What I found was something I did not expect to see.

Firestone's Customer Service Department had made an appointment to reexamine my vehicle at another Firestone, but the District Manager of Firestone, Dan, cancelled without notice this second opinion. Dan also would not allow me to have a witness with me when I went to the local district office concerning this matter. It is my position, that Firestone was caught recommending needless services and that the district manager did not want this exposed, so he cancelled my opportunity to get a second opinion. Firestone's corporate office via Keith R advised me to seek litigation as they would do nothing about this matter.

The vehicle pulled hard to the right, and would pop and shudder sporadicly as I would drive down the road. Sometimes the steering wheel would be yanked out of my hands to the right, especially when driving highway speeds. The manager, John Gilbert, had put 2 wrong tires on my truck. He then proceeded to lie to me several times about the truck being fixed. He put my vehicle and life at risk by assuring me that it was OK to drive when in fact there were incorrectly adjusted brakes and a high risk of a roll-over, especially in the wintery, icy conditions the area was experiencing at the time. John caused me to be without a vehicle for 5 days, and at this time refuses to refund any money to me (I was charged around $1450) and/or compensate me for the risk he put me in, and the inconvenience he caused me.

A large, 350 ft (110 m) wide hangar was built at Test Area North, part of the National Reactor Testing Station (now part of the Idaho National Laboratory; Monteview) to house the X-6 project, but the project was canceled before the planned 15,000 ft (4,600 m) runway was built, necessitated by the expected weight of the nuclear-powered aircraft.[7]

Anyway, long story short, the front pads still had decent life left in them and the shoes were the exact same thickness as the ones I had just purchased to put on so I did not fool with changing them. I changed the front pads, sucked out the "burned" fluid from the reservoir and adjusted the back brakes. A mystery came up when I was bleeding the brakes, the fluid in the line wasn't black so I bled them out completely to change the fluid. My assumption was right, the only black in the entire system was apparently in the reservoir, I know weird huh? The car passed. Here is the good part, she just took it back for another inspection 1 month early this time instead of late.

They also recommended that it be takin to a dealership. I am extremely disappointed in the service that Firestone has taken on this issue. I truly believe that we were scammed, by these incidental problems that just happen to go wrong immediatly after having my vehicle in their care. I will not bring another vehicle to any Firestone service center, nor will I ever recommend one. I will also under protest never buy a product bearing the Firestone name. This is exactly what the American people do not deserve in these trying times, tight bugets and struggling economy. Thanks for nothing Firestone.

When I got the car, my radio was totally hanging out of the dash board; the screws were totally out, and it was setting on the back floor of the car. I felt very up set. After being quoted a price of $400.00, when I picked the car up it shot up to $698.39. The next day the car died right across the street from Firestone. Well, the guy who worked on it did come out and asked what was wrong. My husband said, "The car died, that's what." The guy went to the back of my car and bounced on the side where the gas tank was and told my husband to start it. The car did start. Guess what he said? It's your fuel pump. He charged me another $462.76. I was was totally out done. I felt as though I had been assaulted. Nothing was repaired the first time. I was very upset about the condition of my car, and the over-pricing for nothing.

I decided to go to Firestone to get an alignment for my car. I asked the technician if the back tire condition is due to this problem( car pulls to the left). He says no, only the front tire gets afected. this happened outside in the parking lot. 15 minutes later the service person in the desk (Jose Lopez) tells me the opposite statement that it doesn't afect the back tire. Later on, in the front desk (jose) said that the problem is an internal division the the tire and in that case they can not do the alignament.

Unfortunately, it is situations like these that questions business' integrity. It is rightfully so when a recognized company - like Firestone - allows their employees and possibly encourages them, to manipulate people and intentionally mislead inexperienced consumers who think they can entrust a well-respected and high visible conglomerate to not take advantage of them.

When he finished he came pulled my truck back around helped me out. I expected less from Firestone since I have been a follower of his competitor, I ve heard bad things about Firestone my whole life. I WAS WRONG. I had the best service I have ever experienced before, he even gave my kids coloring books so they wouldn't get bored. My safety net schwab hasn't even treated me that good and I've spent thousands there. Ryan let me know that there are Firestone's in spokane and I will be going there know. If anyone out there wants a good experience at a Firestone stop by the Redmond one and say hi to Ryan for me.

We trusted Firestone with both of our cars and it let us down. Because of their negligence our car exploded. We are willing to take this case to Court if need be, because we know that this occurred due to Firestone's negligence, not ours. Engine is damaged and they do not want to assume the consequences.

They told me to leave my truck with them so they can check it again. The next day I received a call stating that they had figured out what the problem was: (After they contacted Saturn about the situation, they identified that they had put the wrong transmission fluid in my truck). Firestone thought by emptying out the old fluid and putting in the correct fluid would resolve the problem. What has me so bothered is the fact that Firestone would tell me that I need to have this work done, but never completed any type of research to find out anything about the type of fluid or transmission my Saturn Vue has or use before doing the flush.

Remember that the first guy said that the front rotors were OK when he first looked at the car? Remember that the technician determined that all rotors were well above the manufacturer's minimum limits? The invoice stated that "Customer was advised about the bad condition of the front and rear rotors and he decided to resurface at no warranty". I guess Firestone doesn't trust their technicians to perform repairs that are well within the limits of safety but would rather that they just sell parts!

On 11/23/2007 I took my 2003 Jeep Liberty in to Firestone for an oil change and front wheel alignment. Nothing was noted about sludge or anything. On 12/09/2007 the car started knocking, and I checked the oil and the oil was at the add fill line on the dip stick. I called Firestone and they asked me to bring the car back. They decided to do another oil change to clean up from not doing it right the first time and said that it was full of oil. If it was full of oil why did they do another oil change? I drove the car back home knocking and decided to take the car to Jeep on Monday.

The officer arrived and advised me to file a complaint with the better business bureau. When the battery was being installed I overheard one of the workers tell a supervisor he did not have a battery to fit the vehicle and the supervisor told him That one will work. The manager wanted me to leave my vehicle because he wasn't going to do anything to it. I left with my vehicle .

After the car was lifted and inspected, I was told by the store manager that I need a right front tire rod replacement in order to proceed with the alignment. This is obvious a pure extortion because after my refusal to change the part, the car was not serviced. I was denied alignment unless replacing the tie rod! This is just another typical treatment in this store I received. The same day, I went to Firestone store # 004162 in Daytona Beach and the technicians inspected the car, did the alignment, test drove the vehicle and stated that it runs good and the condition was good. Their overall performance completely contradicted the one from store # 011630.

Firestone proceeded with the work I thought would get me on the road..The next day they wasnt able to get my brake to work after replacing the parts they said will fix my problem..so when they called me back to tell me that they said i need a master cylinder which will just be another $215 as they quoted..so now i'm out of 642.50 and no dam car to drive because of misleading info and money hungry employees.

Firestone is a fraud-based company. They will fix what is not wrong with your car so they can make money and they do what the customer wants to be done for free. I don't trust Firestone at all and will spread the word about the worse car service that I have ever seen. There is no fairness and the sales people are rude. I will never bring my car to the Firestone only if they can resolve my conflict. Thanks to whomever will follow up with me.

Just so you don't think I'm blowing smoke on this one, I'm 48 years old and have been working on cars since I was about 15. I have performed this very service dozens of times and know a bit about what I'm talking about. Don't be fooled by these so called "mechanics" that tell you that you need this and that. Challenge them. If you're not sure about something, bring a trusted friend. Don't sign any repair order unless you know what it is that you're signing. The only damage that occurred is that I will never use or buy another Firestone product, nor will I ever recommend anyone to Firestone in the future!

I said goodbye and I was very concerned about the different stories about what could be wrong with my car. As I drove home, my car was hesitating as it idled at a red light. Before I ever took my vehicle in for repair it never stuttered or hesitated at a stop. I believe that the job was not performed properly to begin with. It's funny how when I first took my vehicle for repair it was driven into the garage. Now it was not worthy of going into the garage to be diagnosed. The mechanic diagnosed the problem by just driving the car. It never made it into the garage. I guess once they take your money, nothing seems to matter after that point. I seem to have read the Fixed Right Guarantee clause on the back of my invoice.

I got the truck inspected (PA state yearly requirement) and all is well. I am wondering how to treat myself to something with the little over one-thousand dollars ($1000.00) that I did not surrender to Firestone for unnecessary garbage bull** repairs. I will at least complain to them to get my stupid $19.99 "courtesy inspection" cost refunded. Then, I will be ever so pleased to take up their high-pressure scare tactics and lack of business ethics, let alone respect for their customers, with any PA State Board of Weights and Measure’s office and whoever PA state and local district attorney's offices that should be made aware of. I have already discussed this with seven family members and everyone at my place of employment that are my friends. The seven family members and folks at my office represent a total of almost 22 vehicles that will never be found on Firestone property. Now, my words of advice to consumers here are simple: do not, unless entirely necessary in an emergency, go to Firestone for anything whatsoever.

All the other articles Bryan sent the cars have at least 80,000 miles on them and it is hard to say who was driving them, how hard they were pushing the engine and if they ever check the fluid in the radiator. Note there is nothing of Firestone or any documentation of Bryan actually working on a car with this problem. There are a lot of these cars on the road with lots of miles on them and have never overheated, therefore, the gaskets didn’t need to be changed. This is absurd saying that every single GM car with a 3.8 engine will break down with this problem. It is not true. What is true is if they are overheated, the plastic gasket warps. Therefore, you don’t let idiots work on your car after a radiator hose comes off. Maybe a freak accident but it is Firestone’s fault. They are the ones that put the hose on. Take responsibility. Don’t make excuses!

This gentleman, whose name escapes me, was very patient in listening to my complaint. He suggested that there were possibly two mechanics working on my car simultaneously and that's how the tire pressures varied from side to side. I agreed with his hypothesis; however, it still doesn't make it acceptable. This was all the "customer care" I received for my dissatisfaction and frustration. For $626.19 I think I should be entitled to all four of my brand new tires being inflated properly.

I drove out and the car aligment was not fixed. With a bad attitude Jose tells me don't come back tomorrow @ 7 pm; we open @ 7 am. My girlfriend went the next day and left the car in firestone to correct the problems. then' I got a call from Nelson Borrego saying that there is another nut stock in the tire's bolt and they need my athorization to brake it and I pay for it. I tryed to understand the situation because all the nuts were remove the day before by the previous Firestone technician. as I told Jose I will be completely honest to him' he got the nerves to say I HOPE! that was insulting and rude.

I sent my car to Firestone for a flat tire. They finished in a hurry - 15 minutes. Then the tire just replaced got flat again in 2 weeks, for no reason at all - I did not hit any curb or pot hole at all. When I sent it back to check, they told me I had to change the wheel for it was damaged. I asked when, they said probably when it hit the 2nd time. When I explained I did not hit anything, they did listen to me any all.

I know that nothing will happen with this as they have already shown me how they treat their valued customers, just wanted someone in their customer department to know that some of their area service centers are not right. Spoke again to the Manager this morning and got a lot of lip service but again No help. This issue is over, just be aware they have lost a life time customer.

I had a situation from a previous repair where firestone added locks to my tire wheels without my permission. The locks were probably added a couple of years ago around the time I purchased their tire replacement guarantee. Earlier this year, during a repair for my coolant system I found out that they had added locks on my tires. They lost the keys and couldn’t do and alignment. I reported them to corporate to get the locks removed. I have never asked for a tire locks nor did my car ever have them. I had contacted corporate and they said that they would add a note to my file and the next time I came in they would remove the locks. When I came in for the starter repair a few weeks ago I advised them of this. They said that they would remove the locks and align my car. In fact they said they would add the alignment lifetime policy. However they never removed the locks, didn’t do the alignment and still charged me for the policy. I had him remove the charge from the bill. I still have not heard back from corporate to get the locks off.

They moved the back tires to the front, because they were not able to fit correctly on the back. They said there was a potential for my tires to have flown off on the highway the way it was. Thank God, because I felt so uncomfortable with how it was done at this store, that I took it the next day to a private mechanic to recheck the balance. This could have saved my life and the life of my dear ones. I am very disappointed because I don't know whether this is a very bad mechanic, or a money making scheme, or an anti-semitic act, or they just assume that the customers are patsies. I am sorry to write you such a letter of complaint, but I felt that it was serious enough for you to know.

Yesterday and today when I press the brakes, now the brake lights sometimes don't even come on. I knew this because people have come up on side of me, warning me that I don't have brake lights. So far, I'm only out around $400 or so for the cost of two reviews and rental vehicles. The two other times, I was not charged for anything. I am waiting for someone to rear end me and if that happened, Chevrolet will definitely hear from me further.

As a result, I have to constantly hold the wheel at an angle to keep it from going straight. It is harder to brake and when I do brake, the car turns dramatically to the right which is hard to control. Also, I have to take the car back to either Firestone where I have free lifetime alignment and wait all over again for them to hopefully align my car as they claim they did, or take it somewhere else and pay for the alignment.

I had to change the wheel on myself. I went back for arguments. Firestone insists their tire was good. As for what caused it to go flat, and whether it's going flat caused my damaged wheel, they don't care at all, and they consider themselves not responsible for it.

I took it in for the tire rotation and balance as well as the brake check. I'd paid for all these services. It had taken so long for services that I took my car elsewhere for the periodic service at 90k miles, which included a replacement of my belts. When I took it in today, I was told that I needed the new belt I just had replaced. Had I taken their advice, I would have been charged. As it was, I was charged $45 for my "lifetime brake check."

They were completely unwilling to work with me to repair the damage they caused. In the end, they ended up paying for the labor and I had to pay for the engine and some other parts. It ended up costing me over $3,000. Now, a year and a half later, my transmission went up. The shop rebuilding my transmission informed me that it was obvious that Firestone did a crappy job and did not even do some things as trivial as re-installing bolts on the exhaust manifold, as well as countless other items. When I get my car back on Friday, he is going to show me everything they did wrong. I am going to ask him to give me a list of items so that I can send it to the person handling my complaint with the BBB.

At that point, the manager proceeded to start and argue with me about how Firestone did do the alignment and it was my misunderstanding of what an alignment was and belittle me in front of me children and the other patrons in the waiting area. I would strongly recommend never using the Firestone in Waxahachie, TX. I have used other Firestone stores before and never had any problems. I'm not sure what is wrong with the one in Waxahachie but my experience with them has given me the opinion that they are a lot less than honest and will not stand by the work they do, or in my case, do not do.

i called to have my vehicle looked at because of what appeared to be a loss of some power or responsiveness. i took the vehicle in and was told i would be called before close of business. the attendant first threw my copy of the work order in the trash without offering it to me. after i asked for it i noticed written on it was a statement that i had been offered a free inspection and had refused it.

After destroying my $3500 rims while replacing my tires, Firestone contacted me, but only because I complained to the BBB, then they set up what they called an independent person to come view the damage to my wheels. This independent adjuster, who is paid by Firestone, didn't even come to me, he said it was raining too badly. I explained that I was working in Cobb county that day, which is where he lived, so he conceded and was willing to meet me near his house. He viewed my rims, after I have driven 100 miles, and he did this is the pouring rain.

I shocked that my auto would be dismantled with such a poor concern about my parts, demanded the name of the district manager. Tom told it was Mike, the store manager. Then when I asked for the Regional manager's contact name, Tom said he couldn't give me the name because they only communicated via email, never met the person, and he didn't have his real name.

On 8-14-09, I purchased a set of tire from Firestone that came to $535.32. I drive a 2006 Acura TL. My car was pulling to the right, also vibrating from the steering wheel. I knew I needed tires. So, I went to Firestone. They sold me a set of Nanking. Dinnis said they were the same as the tires I had on my car, a little harder tire, but I should get the same ride. My bill of sale states I have 3 dot # **and 1 dot # **. The Nanking # is **. I had an alignment done at that time. After service, my car was doing the same thing.

I asked my husband to take my 2004 Malibu in for an oil change and get a yearly inspection sticker. The oil change was done, but they asked my husband to come in the back and look at the car. They stated that the struts were worn on the car and before they could issue the sticker for the inspection, he would need to get new struts and an alignment. They gave my husband an estimate of $582. They said they could put two people on the job and get him out of there in about two hours. My husband tried to reach me at work. I was away from my desk, and he informed them that he could not get a hold of me. Then, the serviceman stated that he would issue the inspection sticker, but we really needed to get the struts fixed. The next day, my husband took my Malibu to a GM dealer and asked them to look at the car; specifically, the struts. They looked, and they found the struts to be fine. They only stated that the bearings might need to be replaced in the future, but no need at this time.

I did question him regarding the fee and he then told me that is part of the service. I did not ask for this, so he returned the money for that service. He was short for one tire I noticed as I was almost home. I called him and asked if he could just put the credit back on the card. I noticed his attitude. (We paid some cash and the rest on a credit card.) He said, "Well, you wanted the cash before (in which it did not matter if the cash or a credit was issued back)." I told him never mind. I would come in later to get the credit. On Thursday, April the 2nd, I stopped in and Wayne asked for the receipt. I gave him the receipt and he said, "No, I need the other one (that shows a partial credit)" and said he could not give me the credit without it. "Okay, I'll get that for you and I will come back." I told Wayne I needed him to reset the computer on my maintenance button to update the tires and the oil change that had been done. Wayne told me he didn't know what I was talking about.

I got an oil change yesterday at Firestone Tire in Vero Beach. They didn't like it when I asked them if they might start the oil change after I had waited 30 minutes and they were hanging out, talking. So, they put a nail in my tire. Beware of Firestone tire!

Steven was very clear that he would have to pay $160.00 and it was never clearly stated that it was $160 on top of the $100 he was already quoted. It was definitely presented that way to him with the intent to deceive the customer and it's probably a very practiced and effective tactic. However, in all earnestness, it feels like he was totally taken advantage of because of his age and lack of understanding of how conglomerates can take advantage of the uninformed public. Seriously, this is probably not the first time as I have it done to me once a long time ago but now I know better. I must say that it really was quite the bait and switch and a creative play on words that got this sale.

Here is a complaint I filed with Firestone Store #008990: First I think you guys really overcharged me by marking up the brake rotors by nearly $60.00 a piece ($94.99, when I could have bought the same item at Autozone for $36.99 each). I understand you need to make a profit, but this is really unreasonable. I'll have to take your word that the rotors were unsalvageable, since no one bothered to show me the old ones. Please understand it is very difficult to return as a customer when I am left with the belief that I got taken.

I then walked outside because several minutes went by and when I asked what was going on, he said that the problem was with the theft device. I told him about the procedure with the key and clearly, he was upset. He got up from the computer, sat in my car, tried starting it and it would not crank. He then tried the key technique. That didn't work. He said that he found something in a manual that took about 30 minutes and to bear with him. He then said, "Do you know that you have a wire under your dashboard that does not belong there and is dangerous?" I said no. He then said, "You have another wire by your battery that does not belong there." I said, "Really? I was not aware of that. I only wanted a battery. What are you doing under the dashboard?"

I'm a woman and fell back on the let me see what my husband wants me to do thing. I called him and started reading off the list. The two scariest things I came across were $80 for the wipers and $17.99 for the light bulb. The rest was ridiculous as well, but even Laron was embarrassed and tried to see if there was a mistake in pricing. Then I was told that my wipers were rare and needed to be ordered. Luckily I was smart enough to walk away. I asked what I needed to pay to get out of there and I would never be back. He was so embarrassed he only charged me for the oil change and didn't argue with me.

The most interesting thing is that I took my car somewhere else for a safety inspection and realized that the light bar was still working. Firestone was going to charge $250 for the light bar and $45 for the small bulb labor, when in reality, everything was working fine. I cannot believe that they wanted me to pay for something that is not even broken, and made me lose time and more money to get another safety inspection. The service adviser is not friendly and does not go out of his way to help customers. Moreover he always makes unprofessional comments. I feel frustrated every time I see him and his non-caring attitude. I will never return to that place.

He then measured the rotor and the thickness at the minimum spot was in excess of .450 - well above the minimum thickness of .409. We again had the conversation about resurfacing and why they don’t recommend it. I asked him to explain then why the machine to perform the service was invented and why they have one in their shop. I asked them why the manufacturer publishes data as to the minimum limits for brake rotors. They stuck to their story about recommending new rotors. I told them that if the existing rotors were below the manufacturer's limits then I would have no trouble buying new ones but, since they were well above limits, I was not going to purchase new rotors.

When I asked for the email, he told me regional manager was Mike. So I asked him to clarify whether Mike the District manger or the regional manager. At that point, Tom just wanted to get me off the phone and I acquiesced asking him to have Mike call me in the morning but then he told me Mike was off so he said he would have Gary call me because Cory was off the next day as well. Feeling very uncomfortable and uneasy with the shop and obviously the conversation with Tom (although I've been a customer since 2001), I decided to call Firestone customer relations (FCR) the following morning on my way to the Redlands shop. FCR assisted in getting the shop to put the vehicle "put back together" to the state the vehicle was in before the inspection.

Also- the front right wheel had 3 out of five lug nuts loose- one so loose I could turn it by hand. On close inspection- the brakes did need service but the service was minimal [I am certified in this field and a crew chief in profession motorsports] and the four disks were almost new- no run-out-and the pads had worn but were good for another 10,000 miles [they were replaced anyway- by me].Now the person who told me I would need new disks [rotors also said they were running a special on this brake service [obvious they wanted to make a sale] also I noticed they were telling another Nissan owner there at the time that she needed a new radiator- even though she had just been there for that same problem-something they had overlooked.

I paid $787.22 to have several things repaired on my car (12/10/05). (Half Shafts/Tie Rod Ends/Boots/Alignment/Tires/Etc)My husband noticed the day after the repairs that the inner boots were ripped, which were supposed to have been replaced. I called Jason, the manager at the store and he just gave me the run around. He says he did not repair them at all, and that he was not supposed to, however, I have my receipt that specifically says they were to be repaired. I took the vehicle to a shop in Lewisville, TX where I live on January 16, 2006.

About 6 months ago, my girlfriend took her 2002 Taurus to FIrestone to get the state inspection performed. Prior to this, we put to car up on the lift in our race shop to go over any possible problems it may have, none were noted. She dropped the car off in the morning and had a phone call by lunch saying that it failed the inspection due to massive brake problems and that they would be more than happy to take care of all of this for the tidy sum of $850.00. Her first reaction was to try to figure out where to get the money to pay for them to do this and when I was finally done choking, I told her we would do the service after finding out what was so bad. The parts list included brake pads, shoes rotors drums and a complete changing of the brake fluid because it was "burned", and the master cylinder was bad. I promised her I would keep my cool and wanted to ask a few questions before we decided to have work done.

It is going on five weeks and no car and no telling now when it will be ready. I don't know who to go to or what I can do to get my car fixed. It has been seven days since they have had the engine and it still isn't installed and working. Even the DM said it was only a two day job. I need some advice and help.

We were told that TWO people checked the lug nuts before the Van was released, and they could not imagine what happened. We do NOT want to see this happen to anyone else!

According to Firestone, he sent a report stating my damage was all curb damage, it didn't look fresh as there was "mud on my wheels". I mean, really? Of course there was! I had an independent adjuster and a wheel shop, two separate people, look at the damage and they say it is impossible that this is curb damage.

When I got home, I opened up the hood to clean the battery and it was like new and did not need cleaning, I also checked the air-conditioner belt and it was OK. My vehicle is a Tahoe and only has 48000 miles on it. I am now wondering if I actually had a nail in my new tire.

I came into the store at 7:00AM on March 6th saying that my car was acting up (possible transmission problems). I left a ticket with Ken who said he would look it over and get back with me. An hour later, he called back and said that all 3 motor mounts were broken (2 pneumatic fronts were leaking) and the back was completely broken. He had given me an estimate of $753.00, but said that the fix might not fix the problem. I took him at face value and went ahead and scheduled an appointment for March 13 to get new mounts. After getting to thinking that it didn't sound right, I went to two other garages (not Firestone) and they both looked under the hood and put the car up on jacks. Both mechanics were in agreement that there was no problem with the mounts other than normal wear (nothing broken) whereas Ken at Firestone said it was so bad that the engine was in fact coming into contact with the firewall when accelerated.

Firestone is a customer-based company. There is only one side to the story called "customer Stories" when great technicians that work for Firestone get fired because customer has lied and there is no room to listen to the other side. Today, thanks to the Firestone Complete Auto Care district as they led my family to suffer. Customers get the car care done for free and the technician that did the work on the car got fired.

After the brake repair I was told of the hub issue again, that tells me that Firestone is willing to over charge knowing after doing repairs to the brake system that it had no hub. I have a copy of the recommended service paper. I took the same Mercury to Dobbs Service Center to see what they would tell me, I was told what I knew, I needed my bearing repacked or replace seal and bearing at a cost of between $60.00-$100.00 ..This is a fact, only four wheel and front wheel drive vehiciles have hubs.

So I went on and let firestone put their stater for $233. after the work was done i found out the dennis the manager had sent out one of his worker to autozone to get the stater for my car that was $138 at autozone and dennis charge me the full $233 for a firestone stater. the next day i went back to firestone and ask dennis why he charge me $233 for a stater that cost $138. dennis told me he had to make a profit. The damage was is firestone raise the prices twice and get that parts fron autozone.

On 10/22/08 I took my ford windstar into the firestone service center in boardman oh.The front right boot was blown and the half shaft needed replaced. I was expecting a bill of $360.00, and the total turned out to be $1,227.00. And even that I didnt have a big complaint about. That is not the biggest problem that I have encounted to date.

Latest problem. There have been multiple on three different vehicles. 2000 Dodge Intrepid. Oil light came on when stopping. Firestone replaced oil switch with light and put in synthetic blend oil. Problem continued. Checked with Dodge dealer for any tech bulletin. They immediately stated problem with 200 Intrepids and one should use regular oil and that will eliminate problem. Firestone refused to make any adjustment.

Husband checked it out later that day, but it didn't make noise again. Next day (now 3 miles after repair), car makes loud noise and dies and would not start. I called Firestone and told them they wreck the perfectly great car and should come and tow it back to shop. Firestone then diagnosed the car and said the time belt went and since it is an interference engine, it is likely the engine is destroyed! The manufacturer doesn't call for service/replacement to the timing belt until 60,000 miles and we had only 41,000. Firestone said they would change all the belts and if it didn't start after all that, then the engine would certainly be shot. They would change the belts for free but would accept no responsibility beyond that. Naturally, the car didn't start after the hose and belts were replaced. They later put it through a test which they say indicated the timing belt had skipped five teeth. The cost of a replacement engine (and ours had only 41,000 miles) is approximately $3,800.

I purchased a new battery there. I have no idea what they did to me vehicle and am not even sure that was my same battery. It did not fit in the cover properly and was cracked. They either put a dead battery in my car, or did something to kill mine. I know all that should not happen just getting the post cleaned.

Question 1: "It says here that the rotors both need replaced, how much under tolerance did they make out at? " Response: "We like to replace them rather than mess with turning since there are so many problems that came about when you turn them'. (at $75 each with 15 min labor on each, I would love to change them too!)

Under a year ago, I purchased 9 tires in one day from my local Firestone. Four were for my Jaguar and five were for my Toyota Sienna. My Toyota blew two flats in under one year. I had my car towed and expected that the manager would see that I didn't run anything over which he did and he would make this situation right. He said I drove 20,000 miles on 40,000 mile tires and the best he could do is give me half off.

Trying to salvage the $300 cost, however, I decided to leave the vehicle unreassembled and had it towed to another mechanic, who immediately in looking at the vehicle told me it was not going to be a head cylinder (the head did not have any cracks or warping) problem but instead would probably result in either being a leaky radiator or water pump. In reassembling the top of the engine, he inspected the parts given to us in a box, all three individuals working on the car realized that the fuel manifold had been broken and that it was highly unlikely it was broken by any overheating; particularly since all the "broken pieces" were in the box of parts. It took three more days to find a replacement fuel manifold. Ultimately we ended up getting the part from a jeep specialty shop for $100. The water pump cost $65 and the labor was 1.5 hours at $80 hourly rate or a total of $120.

I talked to the regional office of Firestone during this, and they sounded surprised to hear that the local store manager had told me I had no legal recourse in Virginia in such a matter. However, an auto consumer group I found through library research, advised through their office manager, discussing it with their attorney, that I might have legal recourse. It had been done previously. However, they weren't in the business of helping individuals.

On Jan. 5, 2009 I called Firestone and talked to the shop manager. I never understood his story. Car Quest was going to deliver the engine and bill Firestone, but he was somehow still working on the price. Honestly, none of what he said made any sense to me. On Jan. 6, 2009 I went to Car Quest that morning and paid $2,598. The engine was delivered to Firestone that morning. On Jan. 9, 2009, not hearing from Firestone, I called. Sam didn't know about anything because he was off the day before and told me they would get to it when they could. At this point I became rude. After words were spoken, he said he would pull his guy off what he was doing and they would shoot for Saturday. He would call back. Later this afternoon, I called Firestone Consumer Affair Dept and made a complaint. I was told it would be forwarded to the DM and would be contacted Monday.

I have taken a lifetime wheel alignment on my vehicle from Firestone and I found that my car is pulling to the right side. So as not to cause any damage or wear to my car, I went to Firestone Master Care Service Center in Coral Way S.W. Miami to get my wheel Alignment done. It was about 6 P.M. and I rushed from work to the Firestone Center, the store manager said, “It’s late and it cannot be done today, you have to come tomorrow.” I said, “Ok.” Maybe 6 P.M. was late for them and I did not want to trouble them. So I took off from my work the next day for two hours to get this fixed and drove to the Firestone Center.

I took my Jeep in because I was having problems with it shaking when I would hit a bump. This was in 2003 and they fixed the problem but now it has started back up. I've taken my truck in every year and it's the same parts and I get charged for labor. The parts are lifetime but you got to come every year and we replace them for charge.

Several attempts to locate corporate office were made and were unsuccessful. So I am out of $200.00 per car, not to mention the service that had to correct their problem for service that this company knew from day one that they could not provide. So now, no one wants to return calls nor contact me regarding the issue.

I went home with the car making noise hoping it would stop. I put the car in the garage and all the oil leaked out again in the garage. On my receipt, it listed things that were wrong with my car. I needed a battery and a bulb. My car was not leaking oil before that. So I call Firestone and explained again. So they towed my car into the shop. They couldn't see what was wrong with it. They sent an inspector out who still can't say. So my car was towed to a Toyota dealer and it was determine that my motor was gone. Now the claim office has sent an inspector out to determine if Firestone was at fault. I’m still waiting. I need my car and they don't do rentals. This is my story.

This is a follow-up on my complaint on July 28, 2010. We are still facing issue with the company Bridgestone/Firestone. Our car is still having the same problems due to Firestone mechanic blunder. We talked with the District Manger of Bridgestone Firestone. He offered us $400 ($200 car rental & $200 stress). Our car is still messed up, we had to take it to Chrysler Dodge in Alexandria, VA. They (Chrysler Dealer has repaired most of the blunder that was made by Firestone. Now Mr. James ** (Service Director) for Chrysler Dodge is communicating with J.R. (Firestone) for work that they are doing on my car due to Firestone mistake.

After about a 5 minute conversation with Wayne, Charles came in from the shop. Without introducing himself to me or even greeting me he immediately jumped into the conversation and said, give the guy a break, he said he cant help you, speaking of Wayne. This took me by suprise. I began to discuss why i couldnt get an estimate with Charles, and he continued to respond with shallow, insulting remarks. He even, near the end of our conversation, told me,who cares about your hose. He treated me like a bum on the street who wanted to use the bathroom, not like a potential paying customer. I told him that he must be a manager the way he came and jumped in my conversation with Wayne, yet he denied that even though his business card says otherwise. I can handle the word NO from an employee of a business, but Charles Wilburn tried to make me feel stupid. I can even handle being wrong, but being treated like my dollar isnt as strong as the next person, that was rather insulting. I didnt like my first experience with firestone.

Great bait and switch tactic by Firestone: sign up for any lifetime service and the item lasts forever and never seems to need servicing. Don't sign up for the lifetime services and my guess is they will always find something wrong. Bottom line is don't trust lifetime services and Firestone has lost a household with three vehicles and seven years of consumer loyalty.

On 6/30 my husband called Juan several times throughout the day. When he finally returned his call, Juan informed him that he (my husband) was to contact the shop of his choice and ask them to send a tow truck to pick up the car from the house and take it to the shop and that they (Firestone) would absorb the cost of the tow truck. Once there, the shop was to examine the car and render a diagnosis. My husband contacted Toyota of South Florida in Miami, where we bought the car. That's the place where we bought our car, and it is a large and reputable Toyota dealer. Furthermore, we had had a good experience with their service when we had had the car serviced there in the past. The car was picked up by them and taken there and a diagnosis was rendered that the car had no oil and due to that, it had exploded. The service manager informed my husband of that and indicated that the next step was for Firestone to send an adjuster to examine the evidence and render his own diagnosis. The adjuster showed up last week Thursday or Friday. After that, we waited after that to hear from Firestone but we didn't hear from them at all.

The next day, I received a call from Steve. He said, "You can come and get your car." It started up and stayed crank. I returned the rental and picked up my car. When I got ready to turn my signal lights and hazards lights, they were making an awful noise. I called customer relations to let them hear it, who then called David in the store. I tried going over 50 and my car was scrubbing. David advised me to bring the car back the next day at 7.

Being a customer for many years, I don't think I was treated the right way. I went in there for an inspection, a 36.00 dollar charge, and due to a check engine light being on, I was told the truck would fail inspection. Keep in mind my truck is brand new with 35k on it. So I said ok can you do the Diagnostic check on the truck to find out why? Then there was another fee of $109.00 for that test. The Manager comes back and tells me I lucked out, it was only a $30.00 gas cap and a fuse. He suggested that I should get a Fuel System service so I agreed - another $89.00. After I told them to go ahead and do the repairs for a total of $308.83, thinking that It was done more then I wanted to spend but at least it is done right? Wrong. I was then told when my truck was finished that but he could not give me my inspection sticker because the on board computer was not ready to give out the information needed. I was told to come back in a few days and they would give me the inspection sticker.

On April 13, 2010, I purchased four new Bridgestone tires, including balancing and installation on my vehicle at a local Firestone Complete Auto Care Store (store no. 011797) here in Glassboro. The total cost for all this came to $626.19. Approximately one month later, I checked the air pressure in those four same tires to discover that two of the tires on one side of the vehicle exceeded the auto manufacturer's specified tire inflation pressure by five (5) PSI. The tires on the opposite side were closer to the correct inflation pressure; however, they varied by several pounds of pressure between the two. I checked the four tires after the vehicle had sat in the shade for no less than three (3) hours. Yes, the four tires were cold!

If my mom knew the truth about the repair shop not repairing my car after I paid $353.06, it would make her ill. I had to tell my mom a lie. I told her that I did not want to travel so far on Thanksgiving because of the traffic and drunk drivers. I knew her love for me and that my safety came first. Now my worry is will I be able to go to the hospital on December the 7th for her surgery? I finally told my mom the truth about my vehicle so that she can understand why I cannot be there for her on her surgery day. I am currently unemployed and find it difficult putting out my resume every day in the event that some company may call for an interview. I don't know how much longer my vehicle will last. I really need my issue with my car resolve soon. I know that it is just a matter of tuning up my car properly.

They did not inflate my four new tires properly. I had a flat tire 3/4 of the way up the mountain in Sequoia National Park to see the huge trees. My Verizon phone could not reach any help. I had to completely replace the tire because there was no turn out area for a while on this hairpin road. Then, the next day when I attempted to go into King's Canyon (same mountain range, only a little farther north), an exclamation light appeared on my dash, which resembled the brake trouble light.

Now the problem is a noise in the area of work, and they claimed it was a belt tensioner I paid to have replaced. The noise was still there, and now I had to pay to replace the fan belt to finally get rid of the noise. Seems to me that the noise was the belt initially. After replacing the belt, the noise went away. And the mechanic said they should have replaced the belt anyway.

In November of 2007, I took in my 2002 Ford Escape for a oil change. Firestone called me with a list of other repairs that needed done. It was totaling around $1,500. I authorized the repairs and had arrangements to pick my car up the next morning. A little later, Cameron called me and asked when did my car start overheating. My car had never overheated, let alone had any problems at all before I took it in there. Then he told me that they were moving my car from one bay to another and it blew a head gasket. He said that they do not do those kinds of repairs there but I should be fine to drive it until I can get it somewhere.

I think this deception is egregious in nature as it clearly shows they have no integrity and their actions border on criminal. After all, it would be a crime if my neighbor did this to my vehicle, why isn't it a crime when a business, who charges you money for a service, damages your property and denies responsibility?

Well it turns out that my vehicle still had a slight missing problem. I figured it may have not been tuned up properly. I took it back in and I was told by one clerk that it may be that the vehicle is just flushing itself off and he recommended that I go to auto parts store and purchase a $10.00 container of C-foam, that it would help the problem correct itself faster. I thought to myself, "Why should I spend $10.00 for a problem I just spent $353.06 on?” It did not make sense to me and I asked if I could bring the vehicle in on Friday, the day after Thanksgiving to be looked at. He said yes. I brought the vehicle back in Friday, 27th and after explaining that the vehicle still had a slight missing problem, I was told that it sounded like a bad gas problem. I told them that I still wanted the vehicle looked at.

My car was placed in the Firestone shop on 01/18/2008. The car is a white 2002 Malibu and was towed in by triple AAA. it was placed on a Diagnostic, test and and 12 malfunctions were found but not listed. It was told to them that it starts and then dies when driving. They said it was the switch and computer that was the problem. I said to fix it. I was told it would be a couple days before they could because they had to order the part from GMC. I waited a week before I got the car back.
