Timken was good but I have heard there quality has slipped a bit in the last couple years. No personal experience. Also make sure you use the proper grease when packing bearings. Wrong grease will lead to quick failure.

Centric is a very high quality brand, but they do not manufacture their wheel bearings. That said, they do stand behind their warranty.

If it's a unit bearing the biggest factor for how long it lives is whether the axle nut gets properly torqued. That's the most common mistake.

Probably centric. Ive used them for brake parts on the beetle but as its not driving I have no idea how they are quality wise.

+1 - also, the worst parts I have ever gotten have come from ebay when helping friends that bought their own. Ebay part could probably be a source for longest forum thread...

No, I was suggesting that it's easier to buy them from a parts store; no shipping, and warranty claims would be a lot easier.

Best deal I got on Timkens was Amazon Warehouse Deals. $130 for a $270 bearing, brand new in the box. Not gonna find front bearings for a 4WD Superduty for less than that. Plus Rock Auto's shipping sucks.

Which wheel bearings? For what? The SKF, FAG, Timken, etc. is top notch OE grade (or better) stuff, the cheap no name crap is cheap no name crap, brands like Raybestos, Mevotech, or Moog are going to be comparable to parts store house brands.

Amazon is only occasionally cheaper since they don't stock all the same stuff in Canada - I recently got a set of Civic shock mounts for $6 each with Prime although they only had two in stock and promised to send me the other two sometime in the future.

I love teaching in Sumter School District because I am able to give back to the school district that inspired me to become an educator throughout my K-12 years. I enjoy the flexibility and creativity of being able to encourage and teach students in meaningful ways.

Im flip flopping between ordering from black dragon auto who carry lots of Z parts or getting one from rockauto. Black dragon doesnt list a brand and is damn near the same price as rockauto.

One of the many reasons I love teaching in Sumter School District is their partnership with Shaw Air Force Base. It is an amazing opportunity for students to interact with military volunteers and allows them to have exposure to potential job opportunities with the US Air Force and USARCENT.

Black dragon is one of the few reputable Z car pafts people. But just checked rockauto and they got timken bearings in stock for my car so I ordered those after reading about how good they supposedly are.

You're seriously considering a no-name wheel bearing from a company called "Black dragon" or a clearly identified wheel bearing from Rock at similar prices why?
